So i heard dayzero cures cancer and all so i figured i'd give it a shot. After loading in i asked myself wtf is the difference? I am asking honestly here because aside from weapon skins and a different hospital interior i really didn't see any difference at all. Just FYI: I am not some hardcore dayz fanboy knocking this mod of the mod for the sake of it, i am just curious why i should even bother playing it. Non-trolltastic responses would be awsome.

I was wondering through the forest and I need antibiotics luckily I spotted a tent. inside the tent I found antibiotics and the night vision goggles, GPS rangefinder, you name it. there was also about 20 satchel charges. are satchel charges Legit or were they all hacked into the game? to be safe I left the charges in the tent and destroyed the tent, I am just curious if the charges are legitimate for future reference? I apologize if this reads poorly I am dictating it to my phone while I Drive

I primarily play on night servers. IT IS SPOOKY. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SPOOKY. I took a 3 week break. I go to play today on a night server annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd IT MIGHT AS WELL BE DAYTIME. I can see just as far as i normally can during the day, only in grayscale. Was there some retardo patch recently to 'fix' the nighttime which was never broken to begin with? Am I now forced to play on full retard level because some people are afraid of the dark?

I wholeheartedly(sp?) disagree. It removes the entire tactical feel from nighttime play. I used to join 30-40 players night time servers and run into cherno/elektro and toss flares everywhich way to mess with nightvision. Why even use nightvision now? YOu can see as well as you can during the day. I think the part that makes me the angriest is the people who pushed for this nighttime vision garbage are poeple who said "look at the realism. IRL you can see at nighttime without nightvision." While this is true (to an extent), YOU CANT SEE 300 FUCKING METERS AT NIGHT WITH NO AMBIENT LIGHT. EVeryone whoever made this argument needs to go into the middle of the desert where there is 0 ambient light (IE: NO HOUSES, ROADS, ETC: BETTER KNOWN AS AFGHANISTAN) and tell me exactly how far you can see. I have no issue with 3rd person because spacial awareness is something no game will ever be able to program in, but seeing 300+ meters in total darkness? Give me a fucking break. I apologize if this posts sounds angry. I am special forces and i just go tback from another lovely deplyment in Afghanland. I am incredibly drunk. <3 you all.

One final thought..I dont know the current state of the stand-alone. Please tell me that SA will not allow there to be 24/7 daylight?

Ugh.4 I guess the masses cant handle using flares, flashlights and glowsticks to see in the dark. I have an idea, lets just make it 24/7 daylight and have everyone spawn with grenade launchers..and restrict the map to only Cherno..and might as well rename it DEATHMATCH Z while were at it. Soooo, ive been gone for many a month, i have a few questions. 1. Is this still a slow deathmatch where everyone just kills on sight? 2. Are these still 12 hackers for every player? 3. Have tents been fixed so you cant dupe things forever? Thank you in advance <3

Good enough for me. I never minded the PVP aspect much anyway, as long as i dont get hacked every 15 seconds. Is there a list of 'whitelisted' servers available through dayz commander or where can i find one?

Until school is back in session, and the adults can get back to actually enjoying a zombie survival game, we unfortunately have to deal with the ever-increasing "bandit" problem. It really wouldn't be so bad if 99.9999999999999999999999999% of all bandits didn't disconnect as soon as they got shot. Anyway, on to the solution. Add a simple friendly fire option to each server, so the admin can decide if he wants to run a Day Z server or a Deathmatch server. Simple and effective. Everyone who actually wants to survive a zombie apocolypse will get to do so sneaking around cities, looking for gear, etc etc. Oh, and all the people who just want another FPS deathmatch game can have that too. Something to note: I really don't have any issues with bandits; I stay out of cities, hit high-yield barns, deer-stands, etc. Occasionally I will creep into a hospital at about 3am when all the little boys are asleep, but for the most part, I live in the wilderness. I just feel this friendly fire option would help pretty much everyone. In fact, I am pretty sure the ONLY people who wouldn't want an option are people who play this game soley to sit around and shoot others, then disconnect so they don't die. TLDR: Friendly-Fire option for servers.

I personally have no issue with snipers, but it would be nice if when they shot their incredibly loud 50 caliber weapons they aggroed some zombies. I think it would make things more interesting. Maybe actually be a downside to sniping?

Pardon the ignorance of this question but can hackers spawn crash sites? i've been on 4 servers tonight and each one had 2-3 crash sites within viewing distance of each other.

Yea they were all in the Novy/Stary region. A little to the north but still I couldnt believe i was THAT lucky.

When you spawn in somewhere, everything around you despawns (so you dont spawn in on a horde of zombies, ideally). Run around away from the supermarket for 5-10 min then come back. Give it time to load.

Database wipe includes: everyone starting at day 0, on the beach, no tents, no items, nothing. Every single player starts as a fresh spawn and you start all over again. Just kind of curious what everyone thinks here. Quick Edit: If someone can provide any valid reason besides gear loss as a reason to not wipe the database, I will change out the 4th option.

You are probably right. I did no research on this matter before I created the poll, just curious. I think a reset would be fun personally.

Yea, I would imagine that is when they would do it. Death has no real consequence at the moment. Just run to tent and re-gear.

I can't wait for the next full database wipe. Watching everyone cry and complain over all their lost gear is going to be funny. If dying/losing your gear is too much of an emotional shock for you that you have to disconnect to prevent it, you should just go play a different game. To me, when you finally have everything the game gets kinda boring. Recently I had a GPS, NVG, all the high-end guns, ghille suit, etc etc. The game was just boring at that point. My solution: I ran around cherno with a grenade until I found someone to declare jihad on. We both went boom. Some random other person got a lot of free gear. Farming up is more fun then actually being fully geared. Thats just my opinion i guess.

I took a screenshot today of someone in a helo (you can see his name as it was a nametag server) flying around. Before i post it and accuse of hacking..i want to know if helos are currently in game or hacked in only?
