The first time I saw the guy I thought he was running to shoot me at closer range with the shotgun, I wouldnt have fired first if I could help it. The second time, I realised it was the same guy and he probably did too, I lowered my weapon first in the tower and that seemed to do the trick, I knew we were going to die and us killing each other wouldnt have solved anything, I guess we both thought the same thing

I have no idea where I was it was my first time heading that far north but it was an airbase of some kind, I had only 2 mags in the Ak and about 3 in my pistol. He must of fired about 15 -20 rounds off himself with the shotgun, it was a black shotgun but I didnt get a good look at it so not sure which it was, but yes there were so many of them my game started to lag a bit

Really tired of all this bandit crap, so far ive never met a player that will even respond let alone actually team up. Im mainly on the UK servers, after 3 in the afternoon most weekdays UK time Anyone want my email so they can add me on steam friends go ahead and PM me and will get back to you once ive been murdered again. Im always helping people out in this game, but they still shoot me even if they are dying and I blood transfuse them, I think everyone thinks this is some kind of ultra large deathmatch. Im not a player killer, I dont mind the occasional gunfight with bandit players but when im getting spawn killed and getting shot at in every town its just gets annoying. Also dont know if direct chat works for me as i talk to people and they dont talk back, ive crept up on people who were swapping items and there was no talk going on eiether I also have a microphone, but again I dunno if I have to hold down caps lock for people to hear me or just leave to chat on direct chat Strength in numbers right?

I just had a nasty death. I was looting a building in some small town when I heard footsteps in the street. I saw 2 figures and 4 more far off, they were using 2 by 2 cover tactics and had seen me in my building. It was night by the way. I called out on direct chat 'Im armed, but im friendly, I see you all and one more step and ill fire' Nothing back, they stopped a second and looked up aiming their weapons at the windows so I ducked down and covered the stairs. 10 mins of strange noises went by and I saw they were blocking me in with barb wire and tank traps, every entrance but 1 was blocked. I fired two warning shots at random and the footsteps coming up stopped. I knew I was gonna die if they were hostile (which they were by this point) So I crept down and literrally bumped into one of them, he fired the first shot and missed, I fired a shot back and missed (we both panicked and missed at blank range) Then another shot hit me from somewhere else. I went unconcious and they swarmed me, waiting for me to get back up. On the microphones I just heard a load of insults jeers like it was some kind of achievement ganging up on 1 guy with 6 guys, as im getting up they all just unload onto me with their handguns. Assholes.... I also read the post about someone helping 2 guys from a sniper. I told a guy over my mike once that there was a sniper in the tower looking at the corner and waiting for him to go around it. Next thing I know he spots me, I say 'yeah thats me the one who just warned you' Bam, he headshots me.

Yeah, I still havent commited a murder. When I hear gunshots now I sprint it for the trees and keep going and changing direction until im sure no one followed me. I have the same its me or them attitude, but the thing was I saved the guys life, If I wanted his gear I would have shot him and not wasted the last of my medical supplies (or any) for that matter on the guy. If someone saved me like that, Id trust them straight off, theres no way you bring a guy back to life who has an AK and give him the chance to kill you if you werent at least planning to bring him back and give him a good luck before moving on

Had a similar story to yours bro. I fled from some zombies into a barn (I could take them, but there were like 50 around and its getting dark and I had my enfield out so needed to drop it and switch to my hatchet) So then I see this guy at the top, thought he was dead, turns out he was unconsious as a second later he staggers to his feet. He starts reloading his AK, I give him a bandage and a blood transfusion and say to him on direct chat that we wont get out of here unless we fight together as theres crap loads of zombies coming in. I also tell him I have only 14 rounds left in my rifle and nothing else so robbing me wont be no good as he has a starter pack and cant store my rifle in there. I turn to and shoot the zombies, but hes not shooting at all. My ammo runs out and I drop my rifle and pull out the hatchet, I turn and see him trying to aim at my head by inching the weapon back and forth as I move around so I quickly throw a smoke grenade to attract more zombies just before he shoots me. Sent the guy a message asking wtf? I had nothing of value to him on me. He sent back he did it for thrills and that he died afterwards and blamed me because they swarmed him from my grenade saying he spent ages getting all the AK ammo he had, makes me wonder if theres anyone who doesnt just kill for the sake of it

Do you mean that it psyically disconnects from the internet? I get this as well, it happens every couple hours for about half an hour. Its not that the internet is slow or anything, it actually disconnects from whatever wireless im using and only happens with this game running which is strange. It just comes up in game that there is no connection and when I minimize it says im not connected to the internet at all. Is this what happens to you?

This didnt happen originally, but now everytime I take a weapon the game just crashes. What can I even do about this?

Can not find it anywhere online, found a smoke grenade and theres no control for it in my controls on options. Cannot equipt it or anything, how do I use them? thanks

Ok did that, it didnt throw it but its been removed from my items now it just dissappeared

I got hit twice with a rifle of some kind, fled and used 2-3 bandages, painkillers and a morphine injection and I still bled out from around 8000 blood to 0. So what was I meant to do to stop the bleeding? I read bandages are suppoed to stop it, but nothing worked

Yep did that, was hiding in a corner used a bandage waited a few mins, kept bleeding, used another, watched animation for bandage, then died and was still bleeding

yes it did the animation, 2 times and i had used 2 bandages yet I bled out from 8000 to 0 and I died over some time, it just kept bleeding

The main game works fine, but when I try to run operattion arrowhead (as reccomended before installing the day Z mod) I get the folliwng two errors then CTD: THEN Someone help please? I downloaded from steam and have tried the intergrety catch to check for missing files but it says no files are missing

So yeah, ive been watching videos of this for a while and im thinking of getting arma 2 and this mod. Few questions though. How exactly do the mechanics work? If I leave a game, are my items etc saved and I can re enter at the location I left? Do vechiles stay where they were? Dissapear after ive left? Do I need to start a new game everytime I leave, or is it saved? When I log off, am I able to be hurt/ starve to death while offline? If not, how does the starting items system work? DO you have to unlock stuff etc? Thanks

Ok thanks guys, yeah Im used to playing games with a steep learning curve. I like what I see even in its basic form, ill probably give the demo a try and see what thats like. One other thing, I read about a game on this forum while looking through posts where someone mentioned they saw someone with 'starting packs' like they just joined the game, is there any character customisation in game? like other clothes or backpacks? It doesnt matter if there isnt, but it would be nice I also have a pretty good rig setup, All of my games are quite high end and run fine
