Your Best, "Worst" Vehicle moment in DayZ

First time on linger I find a car full of high end stuff And crashed into the sea, it's on video somewhere on my YouTube
  2. Like the OP said, just because you want to have peoples stuff doesnt mean you want to kill them. There are many types of thieves in the world from pick pockets to burglers and armed robbers. Imagine these kind of people, you will get bandits who kill for their loot, some who wait until dark and try and steal things because they are not a killer and those who are brave enough to hold someone up but inisde dont want to take a life, they might just rob them for weapons or supplies and leave them (in the film The Road, there is a guy who robs the main characters and tries to sneak away when he could have easily killed them, despite being scared and desperate and hungry he choose not to kill them because he wasnt a killer) Gunshots attract zombies, in real life firing shot might just bring a horde down upon you, remember its just 1 bite not like in the game. So sneaking up and holding a gun to the back of someones head is much better for your own protection than you think instead of just shooting someone. Obviously you might get shot in an open field with no zombies, but in more built up areas where the fight for resources is more desperate even most killers will play it smart I do think the bandit and hero skins should go, as far as I know they wont be there in the standalone If in the standalone the zombies are a real threat, we may see more (or at least some) hold ups where players want loot from someone else but firing their gun might mean the death of both players. I would like to see more holdups but ive never seen one in game, it would be fun to be at eiether end of the holdup (I ve told plenty of people to drop their weapon or die, they always choose death)
  3. Walking zombies? There is no facepalm large enough to do this thread justice
  4. You also need to realise real life there are more than just gamers with little else to do then shoot people In real life there are more factors, people need people , lone bandits won't last long, as soon as they get ill or break a bone they are screwed without a doctor I think that there would be more grouping up whether they are friendly or bandit and less loners but I think there will be just as many bandits as people trying to help each other and just survive and build defences
  5. I'm interested in hearing what moment made you choose the path of a hero, did you save someone or did someone save you and change your mind? For me it was the moment I saved a new guy meer moments from bleeding out( about 100 blood left) after clearing out a horde that had broken his legs , gave him an ak Kobra and some gear, he thanked me and left me his Alice pack and went his own way , The next time I logged in I had a hero skin, from that moment on I knew that the heroes path was for me

    SA: server hopping

Why not just make it so you can only log into 3 servers every hour or you get a sent back to the coast , that will minimise server hopping I have connection issues sometimes and I would be fine with that

    Different Clothing..?

Its just named terrorist clothing, its not actually looking like a terrorist here: http://dayzplus.wikia.com/wiki/Findable_Clothing http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121213094947/dayzplus/images/6/60/GUE_Soldier_AT.jpg

    Different Clothing..?

Terrorist clothing is in the dayz+ mod, its only found in the NW airfield as far as I know. Its not that great though, it basically camo clothing with a unchangable backpack
  9. thelonewarrior

    Different Clothing..?

Yes that's dayz+, there are a whole load of new clothes on the dayz+ mod, there is ranger clothing and also terrorist clothing Dayz+ is a whole different version of dayz
  10. I wouldn't mind if there was some kind of system where you could choose where you spawn as a new spawn or choose to spawn as a group on the beach I don't see any way that might be exploited

    Admins:Friend or Foe?

You think that's bad? I once joined a server where the 5 admins spawned in as50s and m107s and edited the loot tables so no weapons spawned and abused the live map to find players and snipe them

Three bullets in the chest, the tale of today.

I can tell you exactly what happend They were not random people meeting up, in all the time I've played dayz I have fallen for that trick twice where a bandit group pretends to be people randomly meeting up to lure in other players to their group to kill them They probably figured you had good stuff, I would have waited though as they always get board and will try and get you in the end by entering the building
  13. Try some other games online and then if you get lag it's your Internet, my other games never have lag issues, just dayz
  14. I'm having a similar problem, it allows me to play normally for a while then massive de synch All my other games are fine and I can download movies ect in minutes just dayz has recently been doing this for me
  15. I would normally call it a problem at my internet end or just coincedence. But i can play on a private server for about 1 week, then after that I am in a constant state of de sych where everything is running on the spot yet I can still hear voice, gunfire and footsteps and pick things up in normal time Just every player or zombie is on the spot. I though it might be my internet but all other games run flawlessly with no de sych so its definanlty something to do with Dayz and has now been going on for a few months. I tried alternating between 2 private hives this week to see if my theory was correct, and today I tried joining both and both of them at roughly the same time decided to enter this state. Probably nothing I can do, but anyone have any ideas. Its not a ping issue, ping is usually between 25 and 50 for server I join and I can still be killed in real time by other people.
  16. Yes it happens on any private hive, and the servers I tried recently only had around 8 people on them

    Killing bandits.

I have no idea, but i did see 2 other guys flying it a few hours before so I think he found their camp. Lucky he did or i may have been tottally screwed
  18. A sniper bandit in cherno is on a rampage and because nametags are on and he knows im looking for him i change my name and go on a bandit hunt. A tale of survivors banding together to take down a common enemy

    Killing bandits.

Killing bandits? Heres a video i just uploaded that happened yesterday:
  20. I dont agree with PvE servers, but they are there for a reason and none of you have the right to judge someone just because of these servers. Many of these servers are there for new players to dayz to learn the game before going into the deathmatch and getting sniped on spawn by a dmr spamming a whole mag. If you wonder whats the point in them, then ask yourself what is the point in sitting on the coast with a sniper rifle killing new players. Recently I joined a server that was noob friendly in the title, to see if there were any new player I could help out. When I joined i was killed over and over by M107s auto aim glitch from the last patch as the admins had taken out all the weapons from the loot spawns and given themselves those guns. They were then telling people to meet them to help them in learning what dayz is about and sniping them and then saying: "Welcome to dayz assholes" And you wonder why people have PvE servers? Maybe because not everyone in the world thinks that camping for 9 hours to kill a unarmed player is fun and they want to maybe meet people they can trust then head to other servers. This may shock you......but there are OTHER playstyles then KOS and theres nothing you can do about it So get over it

Tired of KoS? Do something about it!

I do sometimes get the whole 'I shot you because you had a hero skin, so it must be fake as no one can have a hero skin in this game' excuse when i get shot But it has saved me a few times as well, i even got given NV goggles and a coyote backpack from a clan once just because I had a hero skin....although a hacker killed me a few hours later.....it was still a refreshing experience when a group of 7 dont shoot you and help you out :)

Tired of KoS? Do something about it!

Ok when I said 100% I meant people play. The game to eiether shoot zombies or players and survive only because there is nothing else to do. I may have phrased it wrong
  23. thelonewarrior

Tired of KoS? Do something about it!

This shows that you only read the title and not the actual post, the post has nothing to do with people moaning about being killed over and over, its actually from a bandits point of view telling people to man up. What people dont realise is this: 100% of people playing dayz want to shoot stuff, lets get the other 95% of the population of the world and force them to play dayz, kids, older folks, police, criminals. Now you have a whole load of people playing a 'zombie apocalypse' game, they are not going to all go straight into murdering people because they probably dont want to play it in the first place and most people will find shooting games boring if they dont place them normally People DIE, people feel PAIN. In real life, a person creeps up on you and puts a gun to the back of your head, 9/10 people are going to surrender instead of risking that half a second it takes to pull the trigger against at least a second to swing their own gun around. Here an idea for all you wannabe bandits (I have total respect for those that are REAL bandits, you provide danger and a challenge) that kill fresh spawns or run around cherno screaming and spamming ammo at bambis, a little experiment id like to try on you if you think this would all really happen. Lets hook you up with a state of the art simulator, for everytime you get shot, an electric shock will be sent through your body, not enough to kill you but enough for you to realise the pain you would cause in real life. For everytime you die, you recieve constant electric shocks until you log back in (which make take a few minutes) Now you feel the fear of being hurt and dying, unless you have a fetish for pain your not gonna keep to your bambi killing ways when you actually value your life over gear and will actually want to make contact with people, although there will still be bandits most people will fear getting into a firefight Its a simulation with MASSIVE setbacks and restrictions, it isnt real life, get over it. By the way, I have no problem with bandits, i hunt them, the problem i have is these wasters who ride around killing bambis A good example is a private hive i joined the other day, it had edited the loot tables so that no weapons spawned and the 4-5 admins had M107s with the auto aim feature and were just riding around using the admin Livemap thing and claiming how awesome they were. This people need to stop feeding their ego. I do not hate pvp, i dislike it when it involves stupid people, there is a difference. My reasons for it are nothing to do with dying over and over, I set out from day 1 to be a friendly player and I still am. As hero myself, the OP is right, man up, take up arms and fight back, i did this and have never looked back But always tell them why you have killed them, tell them its because they are a bandit and needed to be stopped. Sure they will come back, but if you dont at least send them back to hell for a short while they will walk all over you Stay friendly, stay safe.....dont be stupid
  24. Basically I just updated dayz commander, now as soon as I open it i get 'dayz commander has stopped responding' Ive done all the usual uninstall, repair, restore to earlier version but nothing seems to help, Just toal instant crash, helP?
