I've been fully fed and watered for 3 hours (found a nice load of supplies) and I still can't see and I'm moaning in pain I've not been hit as I've shot every zombie since I got attacked by 4 and lost loads of blood, so yeah my health isn't regenerating

I've randomly died at full health twice today, once while climbing a ladder and the other time I was in a windowless room sorting my gear, left re menu took one step and instant "you are dead" Full blood, drink and hunger, no one in front of me in the only possible entrance There's eiether still hacking or there's a really major bug still in the game

Yeah I have the same issue Was climbing a ladder in apartments Halfway up "you are dead" Same thing happened when I was in a room facing the entrance so no one shot me, only playing about 20mins and had full hunger and thirst

Nice, I'm gonna try this, though what about whole moving from town to town? Do you jog there because otherwise it's going to take about an hour between towns

Keeps happening to me, it seems when a server restarts I lose my character (tested, happened 4 times in a row) Really could use some warning messages so I can log out as it just restarts with no warnings

Also not being able to recognise a person by looking at their face breaks immersion That's why he said 5metres, if your that close and haven't spotted them, your probably already dead

Yeah my character got reset 6-7 times today There's bugs and then there's unplayable, I find if you switch servers too much (may be intended) I lose my character Also sometimes after a restart I'm reset too, got randomly disconnected from the server twice today and both times lost my character

Yeah we made it, thanks for the best Xmas present I could have hoped for Dayz Team Just 2 more hours of downloading and I can play. It currently feels like time has stopped right now, the download timer is moving so slow......maybe I should stop watching it

I haven't played dayz in months, but I'd gladly come out of retirement for waiting for the standalone and bring hell down upon him I can dream, he will never give his server away, besides it's probably a 10000 verchiles, self bloodbag, start with full tool belt donator server that requires no skill to play on

Don't bother responding to dgeesio He will just keep repeating the same thing over and over until you go insane Seeing as in the post he actually quoted it says they aren't trying to force anything then dgeesio goes on about how you can't force people to play that way and then he goes on about how you can't stop KOS when clearly he just quoted it himself someone saying they don't want to stop people KOSing...... I give up He's just looking for something to argue about

Well 'back in the day' when we had a small army going on (120 clan members) we covered a lot of servers and 'dissuaded' people from KOSing Was far more fun hunting those few bandits that stuck around on our servers, they made it a challenge and gave us good people to protect The whole 'we have to kill everybody' appproach was just plain boring, we knew the outcome and decided to change things We had plenty of traitors, bandits infiltrating us and hackers in our ranks we had to weed out so there never was a dull day and we would get into firefights daily as well as recruit friendlies and make friends It was the hackers that got us in the end, we lost pretty much everyone due to hackers screwing with us, not because it couldn't be done All the people who say it can't be changed only say it because: 1. They don't want there to be less pvp 2. They have never been part of something in the game and seen it make a difference, so they refuse to believe it

Well I've been playing aftermath which has a lot less food, guns and more harder zombies I thought myself it would make people need to work together but I found it's the normal pvp feat on the coast but with crossbows and winchesters Not met a single person yet that was friendly and the zombies on there are basically headshot only kills and kill you in about 8-9 hits with mass bleeding I made it up north and left the game running at NWAF to see if anyone would make it that far Didn't see a single person all day

Yeah the old zombies could beat you for a couple of minutes before you would die I remember when dayz+ came our I compared it to normal dayz (old dayz zombies) and found that I could last at least a whole minutes worth of continous punches, now you last about 20 seconds if you stand there and get hit

I usually always have a bandit skin now, and it's always in self defence Recently I was playing on a server and a guy in a survivor skin red pawned 3-4 times at electro to try and kill me and each time I killed him I had a bandit skin once and got to know the guys on the server, we had a non shoot on sight ceasefire between me and a group of at least 3 but they were not interested in teaming up, just said they wouldn't shoot me I ran into them at least 5 times over the month I played there and went from -5000 humanity with a bandit skin to a hero skin The moment I got a hero skin, every player I met ( even those normally friendly) KOSed me Their reasoning was "your a hero, you won't fire back if you want to keep the skin" The three guys I mentioned? Ran into them where I couldn't escape, gunned me down and took my coyotee backpack even though all 3 had one because they wanted a "spare" I'd just like to mention they died at least 7-8 times per 3 hour session i played, usually to zombies They could have used an extra guy but decide to kill me instead From my experience: Bandit skin means people KOS you and say its because your a bandit Survivor skin means people KOS you because they think you could be a bandit Hero skin means your a pushover and won't fight back against survivors

Will the zombies actually be a threat? Or are they just appearing to be a threat? If they have the same damage as the current state of the mod, but also run I think they can be a threat (been practising by only killing zombies outside where they can run and believe me it's not easy with most weapons)

I find it funny how you presume the only reason to capture someone is to mess with them and kill them later Did it ever occurr to you that maybe......just maybe they are doing to to protest themselves or group while they determine your intentions, did you think that maybe they might give your stuff back after Of course not..... In your mind the only option you have when interacting with another player is to kill them

Just because someone holds you up and wants to disarm you doesn't mean they are robbing you Some people want to do it instead of saying friendly and hoping they don't get betrayed, they are literally (like me) testing if your hostile If your non hostile and already past the point where they could have surprised you and killed you before you knew they were there they are not going to kill you so dropping your weapon extension Is to make them feel safe On the other hand, if they snuck up on you and said 'dont turn around it ill shoot you, drop your weapons' and the victim does turn around, then they were clearly hostile and deserved to die But your right they no one ever listens, but they should, because clearly if your gun is aimed at them and they haven't seen you, you would kill them in that moment there instead of bothering to make contact

Really, because when I play dayz 2017, almost every person has 1-2 bullets in a rifle and never bother to engage if they see someone with another rifle they usually run away in my experience So having 1-3 bullets increases KOS instead of having 200 rounds spawning with assault rifles Great logic you have there

This is exactly what I do, I use my experience of over a year playing to help those that need it Granted, most of the time I end up shooting them because they try and betray me or when I meet them they don't listen and try and shoot me Bear in mind on my current server I have a bandit skin and still manage to talk people out of shooting me, so theres not really any excuse If you run out of things to do, just don't play for a while Or help people like I do, maybe even find some new players on the forums and teach them to play

For once I agree with dgessio I've seen my share of admin abuse and legal hacks and something needs to be done for the SA

I'm gonna go right ahead and say if I leave the game now and come back in 20 years, this debate over KOS will still be going on
