    How do i show my position on my map?

    Join a server which has the setting turned on(usually recruit/regular servers have them turned on). A GPS will only tell you your co-ordinates so you need to learn how to read a map.

    The use of 'Z' in "DayZ" is meant to represent the number of days a player has survived. This is reinforced by the Day 'Z'(where Z is the number of days you have survived) that show up at the bottom right hand of the screen. On topic, I read 'DayZ' as "daze". Side note, I'm from New Zealand and I only use the 'zed' pronunciation when saying NZ like most of the people I meet. Adding to that, most drunks also get aggro'ed quite easily (does not like loud noises) and has a difficulty seeing/hearing things properly.

    I suggest partner up with Valve. DotA 2 business model: Free to play, cosmetics items ( clothing / sun glasses / emblems / gun camo / tattoos / bag desings / etc...) vs standard designed items. some cheaper items may be looted by other players. Studio developed and Studio servers. or Stand alone. One time purchase, Several maps on release with a specific character playable on specific map - transferable through payment. Develop as you see fit. Studio servers. Kickstarter if you need to. If you looked at this post and use any of the idea in here, all I ask for is that you engrave my username in building somewhere in a map. Make sure to somehow differentiate it from what the folks at Undead Labs are making.
