  1. If you know his IP (and whether or not he's using a different port), you can manually enter it by using the "remote" button in the multiplayer section in Arma2/DayZ

If it's too hard/unfair for you, Don't Play. Go play something else.
  4. It seemed to be taking a really long time for loot to spawn in recently.

I recommend DayZ Commander. it's a very good launcher, lots of features and super easy to update with. www.dayzcommander.com

Ever been chased by a vehicle?

Once. I was leaving the NW airfield to the southeast and decided to check out a barn. I went around a box and saw a player pointing a gun at me. I quickly decided I'd better shoot him while he's as stunned as I was(this was my first player kill). I left the barn through the opposite door and saw a bike in the road, which I assume was his. I got on it and started to enjoy riding around, ringing the bell. After a bit of riding I started hearing a strange noise. It sounded like an engine. My thoughts were "huh, this bike sounds like a motor vehicle, i wonder if that's a glitch or something." Then it started to get louder. I looked behind me and saw a giant truck coming right at me. I'm assuming the person I had killed had friends nearby. Maybe he was waiting for them to pick him up. Or maybe it was just coincidence, I'm not sure I decided to try and take the bike back toward the airfield to see if I could lose the truck in the trees. Apparently the truck could either maneuver through the trees, or just go right through them. The truck kept chasing me, getting closer, blaring on the horn. It was actually quite humorous. I wish I had recorded it. Eventually I decided I wasn't going to get away and gave up disconnected. ( I know, I still hate myself for doing it and I haven't since.) All in all, it was a pretty funny scenario. Reminded me of the chase scene from Terminator 2.

    2 Players, 1 Computer?

I ran into the this problem before i bought the game for my GF after having already played it on her PC with my steam account. I'm pretty sure that all you really have to do is make sure to run ARMA2 and OA through her logged in steam account, and it should change over which CD key is being used. If that doesn't work, i remember reading something about going into the registry and changing the key to the correct one.

Best way to get blood back?

if you can't find matches you may be able to find a fire somewhere to cook your meat. I've seen one in Cherno in the town square with the Statue and Hotel. I've seen one somewhere else, but I can't remember where.
  11. Well a server went down tonight while I was on it, but my progress was saved, so it looks like this has been fixed. Thank god.
  12. My only argument to that would be, when I lost a connection to a server(due to it going down), I didn't get completely reset. When I logged into a different server after one went down, I joined starting in the same location and with the same gear and health that I started with on the server that crashed. I didn't lose anything or get completely reset as a brand new spawn. Just pushed back like an hour or so of play. As I said, I'm not sure what's going on, and I could very well be wrong.
