Alt+F4'ing is indeed stupid, most people who do it are probably just kids who don't understand the value of dying in this game, the basics of risk/reward. Whenever I get shot at and survive, I fight back guerrilla style. I sprint out of sight and then flank him with a vengeance. Always works too, for some reason. Some people are stupid enough to stay at the spot they were shooting from :/ Maybe they think I just alt+f4'ed

Great to see there are players like you. Wish I, along with most other players, could be more like you.. This game would be a lot more fun that way.

I shoot everyone who sees me unless they're close enough for me to hear their voice on mic. And they better have a friendly voice.

Looking for scandinavian players to group up with. I'd preferably play on swedish or norwegian veteran servers. Preferably with 3rd person and without crosshairs. I started playing just a week ago but I think I've learned most of the game mechanics by now. I've managed to gear up to get all the necessary survival gear to be self-sufficient with a few of my characters, along with raiding the NW airfield and Stary Sobor for higher quality weapons and gear. I'm getting a bit bored with running solo and having to kill everyone who starts to shoot at me (like 90% of the players I meet). So I think I'd get more enjoyment out of teaming up with a group of nice people and actually be able to chat a bit. I have a mic but I can't use it at all hours because of people sleeping.

Yeah I noticed problems with meat-gathering after the 1.7.2.3 patch. But if you just wait a while or walk around a bit it usually becomes lootable.

Was pillaging the northwest airfield with a FN FAL and a 1911. Saw a sheep on the southernmost part of the landing strip and I was almost out of food. I know it's dangerous to go out into the open in that airfield but I decided to try my luck and gut the sheep. Shot it dead with one bullet from my trusty sidearm and all of a sudden I was being shot at by something that sounded like a fucking cannon. I started sprinting like a mothafucka in sicksack while the sniper kept firing from a small hill nearby. He stopped firing a few shots later, he was either reloading or I ran out of sight. Decided I'm gonna try to take the fucker out so I ran around the hill and flanked him. The stupid son of a bitch was still looking down at the sheeps direction when I put a burst in him from my FAL. Went to loot his corpse and couldn't believe my eyes. He had a M107 and a silenced M9 with plenty of ammo, THREE sets of NVGs, GPSs, rangefinders and four ghillie suits. He must've been out there for a long time and killed plenty of people to get that kind of gear. Only my 2nd day of DayZ so I was feeling pretty good about myself after that :D

So I made a stupid mistake and dropped a M107 under a pine tree. Can't find any angle to loot it. Any tricks that might help? Yes, I'm a noob.
