And the next step is you have to buy a new copy of the game to ever play again? Guys, realy what is your big problem with this? If i get shot and the guy does not loot or hide my old char, his problem. Why should i not be able to loot me, everyone else can loot my damn old char, why not me? Sure i know were i got killed, but well what does that change? Nothing! Taking away the ability to store something and prepare is taking away a big point of the game, it does not matter if i die or not. Cause even if i would loose all my gear, hell i would not have to search long for replacement to be were i like to be again. Sure i would not have the mil grade stuff, but that is not that hard to get if you know were to search for it. The current systems works fine, i do not get the point why you try to limit it. If you do not like to store things, your point, go on and play it that way, but let the ones that like to prepare do it, cause what else would i do with the time i now have? Right i go down the coast, kill everything i find on the way down there and back up or get to a hot-spot and search for players only to kill them, cause why should i prepare for the future when i know i will loose all of the stuff i did stash? Taking this away will make things worse, only the guys that like running around in big city´s still will have there fun and die over and over again, but that is not how i like to play the game and most of the guys i know do not like that way too, we even do not like to go for some kills, no need to waste a shot for nothing. But well if we can not do the other things to prepare for a bad day, well only real way to get some stuff is killing other players, cause searching for it myself? No need to waste my time if a bullet can do the job faster then me searching and walking around, risking getting shot. Rocket sayed in a interview he plans on more endgame content like adding underground bases and such, that is what i am waiting for, cause if there is one thing you will do in a messed up world like this, you start to prepare yourself and if in a group your group for the things to come. So if i could not store things for me and my friends, what real goal is left? Only the kill numbers in the debug monitor are left, thats all at the end.

Hacker? Not at all. Your rear window brakes at the exact moment you died, as far as i know the fron and rear window of that car are the same slot, so best bet here, you got shot. You did not hear a shot? Right, you will never hear the shot killing you, the ones missing you for sure, but the shot that takes you out, no way. The bullet is faster then the sound, as50 rounds are the fastest bullets in the game at the moment, so chances are high you will not even hear the shot cause you go down before the sound reached your postion. You were going in a nice line following the road, not hard to hit you then in that car. So no need to reach out and say wtf or what ever, there is nothing special happening in this video, things like this happen every day in dayz and not a single one of this was done by a hacker. Best to do, get over it and learn from it. -
kick for BE not responding, can this be caused by opponent / faked by admin?

Well, BE kick is nothing special at all. Happens from time to time. And that he gets killed, well we all know you are standing up at login and your are there before you can move or do something. So the most commen way he got killed was by the same sniper that killed you, cause as written, he was not prone while he logged in. Happend to me in a nice fire fight, server crashed, i logged back in asap, got killed while loading, happens. But to your point to fake such things, well, way to much work only for killing a guy on a roof. Possible, maybe. -
Well, AS50 can use both mags, the M107 ones and the AS50 ones. AS50 = 174k dmg and 5 rounds per mag. M107 = 37k dmg and 10 rounds per mag. The AS50 is a bit more accurate, the M107 has a differnt zoom, but that does not make any big difference to the AS50. One downside of the AS50 (not sure if it got fixed till now) is that the mil dots are a bit off-scale, so figuring out the range with mil-dots needs a bit of testing. Maybe you simple use the basic Arma II OA and the Shooting Range mission which you can find for download and test both guns out yourself, there you can setup targets at different ranges and simple shoot them. Overall the AS50 is for me the better weapon of choice. So for normal use, AS50 with M107 rounds and if you have, AS50 rounds to disable a vehicle or if you think you have enough ammuntion, to kill a guy for sure.

I use the M9SD now for some time now. If you get used to that gun it does the job, best of it, it is silenced. With 1.7.2.4 that is good to have. The G17? Damn if i could throw the parts of it i could maybe kill a zed maybe, flashlight? Is like a sign that says "Shoot me". PDW is fine, eats lots of different mags, but not my weapon of choice. I would go for the M9 SD if you can get your hands on one with 4-5 mags. I have no problems with it, but i also know some guys having a bad time adjusting from the 1911 for example to that gun, needs a bit of time to get used to it.

New? Well someone must have joined the game in the time were that stuff did not spawn at lootpoints then. They are a nice part of the game, hope rocket will stick to the ideas he has with clothing, even if that will not make it in the mod and only come with the stand alone version. -
How to join own server without Six updater or Commander?

Well, you have to make a shortcut on your desktop for it and then it should work. "...\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-mod=*arma2path*;Expansion;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;@dayz" -nosplash -name=xxx "-profiles=xyz" (and yes i have it set to the beta in my expansion folder and it works fine) thats what mine looks like, the -nosplash -name and -profiles is optional, not realy needet for most systems, i use it cause had some trouble with my profile path in the past. There are tools out there to help you creating that shortcut, like the Arma 2 Launcher that gives you a nice gui to do the trick. Then in the game if your server is not in the list you can enter your IP (remote button) and connect to your server, there is even a way to connect to it over the shortcut. You seem not to read the forums before posting, maybe try this post http://dayzmod.com/f...rolling-update/ And realy, i do not care about that at all. Why does someone even ask for a wipe? It will change nothing, only cost the "legit" playing guys time to get there stuff back, the other do not even care, cause they have there stuff 5 mins after the wipe back, so does not solve anything such a wipe. Regards WorkingOnIt Ps. seems you even do not care about taking hacked stuff or duped stuff, you still have your civ clothing in your inventory and a golden .45 (that fur sure is not in DayZ), so even a wipe would not fix the tent you found if the .45 was in it, it is a hackers camp and such a guy will have it all back in no time.

This is kind of a money/gold system, sorry dude but that is the last i would take on a trip in such a broken world. Trade goods? Food, Water, Ammo or Guns, etc. that is all what counts and if you trade you do it with such things. I never would give you a damn shit for a worthless coin or what ever, you can have a bullet from my gun, comes free of charge and is fast at your location. So i do not see the need for a special trading item, trade with what you have, you can do it without adding something to the game.

Dude first BI = the makers of Arma II have nothing to do with DayZ BI = make the patches for Arma II/OA and they nerfed the gun DayZ = a mod for a game, so the mod has no control over the game or any funds that got earned from selling the original game That makes it a bit hard to hire someone do you not agree on this one? Then, broken bones, well it happens, but if you are prepared, well not a big deal, in our group everyone has the basic needet to deal with such problems. Think about it, you have been in a bad situation, you will not get into such a situation again, you prepare yourself better next time. Same goes for getting sick, i got sick one damn time, after a infected did hit me, got help from a friend, now i have the stuff on me to handel that problem. Zeds are glitching from time to time, but it is not that you can not realy deal with them, you only have to know what is going on and how to answer that. What is a problem, well one of our group had a little tree problem, he was prone under a tree, turned around and died. That is something that should not happen, the rest, well i and the guys i play with can deal with it very well. Your problem could have been solved if you and your friends were better prepared for the world out there, i like to say "World is broken, get used to it!"

Ok you say we should test new lootsystems? Heck when did that change the last time? When did something change about the way you gear up were you get your stuff? Rocket did play around in the past with the system, last interview i have seen with him he sayed he will not realy mess around with it, engine and other stuff needs to be sorted out first, so why do a wipe if nothing changes in the process of looting and gearing up? Next point, bugged vehicles? Too far away from loot? Heck, first there is no too far away ever, and if there are bugged vehicles, well then find a way to fix that now and forever, not by simple wiping stuff, no by finding a way to id broken stuff and write some code that this will be fixed, not semi fixed by wiping. We are here to test stuff, right but for me it realy makes no sence to test the same stuff over and over agian. So wiping every patch will not help, it will only slow down the testing over and over again. If there are major changes to the game, like a totel new lootsystem, a total new vehicle system or what not, i could maybe agree to do a wipe then, but not if only minor changes are made or stuff got fixed, i do not get the point why there should be a wipe every time a small part of the game gets changed. Even if DayZ goes standalone there will be changes in the game, would you ask for a full wipe then too? NO, cause that is not testing phase right? But what is testing all about? Get the stuff sorted out and make it work in the future, were a wipe is not the key to solve a problem, were you have to find a way to fix stuff without doing a wipe to not piss of your players. -
1 and 3 sound realy nice, a way to hide your stuff better would be nice to have. 3, how about giving us that in parts? You get a tent that is like a section of the big one (like it is IRL) and we can combine them to a big tent if we like. Inventory space for 1 could be 4-6 slots (if you carry it around in your own inventory), storage in the tent itself, well twice of that what we have no. So we could end up with tents like the ones at balota (medical tents) for example were we can even go in and get some couver from the bad weather. Overall i like that ideas, but i bet they will not come in the near future.

Ok, let us get into this a bit more. I go around and do not pick a faction, i so have a normal skillset with no bonus at all. I encounter someone that did pick a faction and cause of his bonus he got he gets the upper hand and kills me or what not. So what do i do now? Next time i do not pick a faction again, encounter someone from an other faction that has this cool bonus stuff cause he picked a faction, i do spot him later cause of the free camo he has on. So i am in some way forced to pick a faction to gain a bonus for my char in the game, cause if i do not do that i end up with nothing extra and i get limited. Your idea may sound nice for you and you maybe think it is a lot more fun for all and what not, but as i wrote, all of what you suggest (- the bonus skills and such) can be done in dayz allready, there is no need for a button press. NO bonus skills for anyone, all have the same conditions in the game and only there choices and what they do decides the outcome of the day, not a bonus they got from pressing a button somewere.

Simple NO to this. Against any limits, rules that limit me in the way i like to play. Damn i do not need a button or what ever that only takes away something and only gives me limits back. Does this add more fun for me or the group i most of the time play with? Does your suggestion bring in something that would help to extend the fealing dayz offers? NO i say it takes a lot from it. And be sure you will get more of the "go away" and "play something else" posts in here, your suggestions will not find many who like such ideas. To much casual crap out there allready.

And were is the real need for this? Take some friends and play together with them and you get enough bonus and what ever you like out of that, no need for making a system or implementing something in the game. For me DayZ is fun cause it lets me do what i like, i am not forced to pick a faction or what ever to maybe get a bonus from that, there are enough ways that give me a bonus. And there are enough things to come that add more and more stuff and ways to the game, there will be lots of new things to do in the future. Long things short, nice idea but no need at all for such a system in this game.

Balance changes due for "high-end" items and more

Stop trying to piss of others who like other playstyles then you do. Sorry you ask for changes so YOUR way of playing the game is more fun for you, but heck it cuts down some fun for others. L85s are great till some point, you only have to know how you can limit even the thermal view of that. The ghillie? Heck i can make you one in less then an hour and couver even your backpack with it, running through a town with it, best way to show yourself. And sorry there is for now NOT a single confirmed loot of one as of version 1.7.2.3, only ones found so far in tents, vehicles or on dead guys, so they seem to be realy rare at the moment and hard to get. NVG´s, i have one around, not hard to get some and sorry if you like to play in pitch black night, do so, i did it for a long time and did not get shot, maybe you stop running into hotspots? .50cal OP? Heck that thing is the best tool to get these alt+f4 guys, they do not get a chance to leave, but i can do that shit with a lee enfield, makes it a bit harder but the end is clear, you are dead one way or the other. And like some wrote, all things allready have downs, for now there is only one sniper that can be used with NVG´s and one that has night vision, limits the count a lot. L85s are also gone down, i know enough who lost there L85 after the patch, did cost us a lot of time to find one again for our group, most used to find snipers to guard our looter in a town. The problem in this game are guys that can not deal with how the world is, it is broken, some are smarter and stay, other do not have luck and die. I do not like to talk about some that think shooting a fresh spawned guy is worth the bullet, for me that makes no sence at all. What realy is a problem in this game are players crying about getting shot, well i have seen so much stupid guys out there, firing an automatic rifle near a town, only by watching a bit he could have known there must be someone in that town (he was more then 300 meters away from it and a lot of zeds were allready spawned in it) and then he got shot. He did not think about what he is doing and payed for it, that is dayz. Sure at some point you take a risk and you get shot, but it is you who was the one taking it and payed for it. If i go to Cherno or Elektro, NWAF or Stary i know what risk i take, if i get shot by a sniper or what ever, i made that call and that is not a problem of the gear others have, it is me taking a risk and not have the luck i needet. Complaining about items and gear is nothing new and is like a red line going you can find in most games having such things, you will never get it the way ALL are happy with, someone will come up and blame the stuff that makes his way of playing harder and from his point for others much too easy. I think, if you can not stand the way how it is, do not play it, complain about something and try to force others to go your way and how you like to play is nothing more then selfish and changes nothing for the game in total. -
Sounds interesting, would be worth a try if it is not to hard to implement.

NL69 cheater, Teleporting and item spawn

Sure do it cause we all have fraps running 24/7 and can check the serverlogs to damn proof such things on our own? Even with screenshots you can not proof a damn shit of this cause you can not capture the spawnevent on a screenshot. So tell me what else should a normal player do? Should we now realy run a software all the time we play dayz to capture a cheaters action on film only that you are happy you can watch an other cheater youtube video? For an admin it should be possible to check the logs of the server and find out what that guy did, for a normal player it is not. So first use ure brain before you write such stupid stuff. -
Put me on the list, i change my name next time i start the game ... Pointless to make such a list and not even close to "realistic", cause YOU are dead you can not pin someones name on a list at all anymore.

Please do a complete database/server wipe with next update

Sorry but i think gearing up and such has been tested now for a good time so, no need to test it over and over and over again, pointless at all. A wipe means nothing to guys that hack in there stuff, then loose it and other pick it up and so on, you only waste the time of players that got there stuff legit. What should i test while gearing up? How good i can run, how good i can shoot zeds? Spawn of loot testing? I get your point of duping and such, well shit happens and not that i would care so much about not getting the stuff back i now have, i for sure know how and were i get my start gear and from there it is only a question of a bit of time and i get all i realy need. A wipe only prevents me from testing things out like vehicles or other stuff that gets put in, i do not get the point why i or others should waste there time over and over again for gearing up, even if it only takes about 30 mins to get a gear that makes you fit enough to stay out there for a very long time. So in terms of testing and all, wiping would not do anything then pissing some players of that got there stuff legit, the duper and hackers or what ever will not even care a secound, they know they will get there gear asap. And sorry, if you like playing dayz at the coast, fine do it, i do not like it that much down there so why not let me play how i like it? Even after a wipe you will find the coast guys at the coast and the others still go up north, all do what they like, wipe means nothing at all in terms of that. Were i could agree is a wipe at the point DayZ goes beta or even better stand alone. -
The problem are players using non-PVP servers to gear up and then go wild on PVP servers, sad but thats the way how things go. Non-PVP servers were fine for me, if they were on there own hive, so the PVP/Normal servers are not connected to that servers. So you would have a char on a pure PVE-Server and an other char on a PVP/Normal-Server, that would be ok for me.

Well, i do not realy like this, sounds good in the first place but - to much splitting of items, no need for so much different types of slots only for some special items - restricts me in how i like to go out or what i like to do in a group, need for special containers for special items that i have to change Why not go simple with it? - mainslots (combined slots we now have for main and secoundary weapon) - toolbelt - backpack - special slot for items like binos, nightvision etc. simple and easy to handel. Btw. even the current system makes sence, if you have served you know your first aid is close to your sidearm, leg pockets hold this stuff, makes sence, the inventory in arma is close to were stuff would be IRL. The downs in the system for me are not, were the items are put, only that i can loose stuff if i switch things around, but that can all be learned by try and error. Do we need a much more complex and split up inventory system? I think no, we need one that has maybe a mouseover info here and there making learning how to handel the system a bit more easy, but not more. Change the way it looks and were the buttons are? Well i could go with that, but i do not need it. So thanks for sharing your idea.
