Yo That's just dated "13.07.12" but its not! Check the modification date before downloading..and you will know what I am trying to say. Its the old December 22 patch v.1.60 Also, I have raised this issue on Bohemia' s forum too but din't got any response. I have personally verified the MD5 hash of the file both the downloaded one from that same official 13.07.12 link and the one I had since January 2012; both of them have same hash sequence..so :D Bohemia's update maintenance staff ditched us again :P

well it worked fellas. but there is an issue of ping. I am unable to connect to servers having just 280ms and above ping. Anways, thanks for helping me out. :) Regards, jarhead770 (in game my nick is: sky770 )

Allright.. but what about beta patch 94876? is it necessary too? Because thats v.1.61 94876 and currently I am having v.1.60 94700 Will it run? What versions did you try? Also, how should I launch day z? using six launcher..I guess will revert back day z to 1.7.2..?

Ok guys, Six updater patched my OA to beta v.1.60.94700 (a weird version? everyone else is having either a lower or a higher version no. than this :o) Anyways.. I am stuck on the loading screen..I thought to give a try to a server having higher* version no. of beta patch. And I guess I am having v.1.7.2.X of day Z mod. Don't know how to check the exact version no. Lets hope for a solution.. :) ok..you are game..hit me :D I guess I need to manually patch it up :( How can I apply 1.7.2.1 over my existing install? I am running 1.60.94700 via six launcher. Is it simple extract / copy / paste? :D Regards, jarhead770

Right now I am installing using six updater. Fingers crossed. lets see what happens :| umm..not to be a noob here but the six updater will* install the latest beta for arma 2 / OA on its own..right? and then the day z files?

thanks for replying :) Well, AFAIK people having bad cd key problem is due to the fact that they din't ran their install separately. For example, before installing day z they did not ran their initial arma 2 game. Such as running arma 2, then arma 2 OA and then installing dayz and finally running it. All they did was install all three of them (most of them used steam and are newbies) and run dayz straight off. (Sorry but this is what I have concluded after going through almost 10-15 thread on bohemia forums) Regards, jarhead770

Hi all, I recently got my copy of arma x. Just wandering around the forum of how to install Day-Z using six updater..I got my eyes on this thread. Can somebody tell me "why" shouldn't I use six updater to install dayz? Currently I have installed arma2, arma 2 OA, arma2 CO (BAF / PMC DLCs) and updated my game using the v1.60 patch(the stable one..listed on the bohemia's update page) something like 1.60.8xx795 in-game menu?. I do want to play my normal MP missions on BAF/PMC as well as day z. is this working bug free as of now? I am scared as I have read "bad key" error a many times on forums(both here adn on bohemia's) and don't want to wreck my install/license :D Somebody please guide me of how can i install most stable build of day z (one having lots of servers to play around with :D ). Do I need to install any beta patches for arma 2 / CO /OA ? Also, does the recent 1.7.2.2 fixes the issue(s) arma X owners have been having lately? Thanks & Regards, jarhead770
