both the revolver and 1911 normally take 1 shot to kill zombies. currently they've been ninja nerfed by the Arma2 engine and as thus both take multiple body shots to kill zombies. normally the 1911 is better due to magazine capacity and reload speed

I bought arma2 combined ops JUST to play DayZ so in a way I feel quite bummed about wasting £25 on something that's going to be obsolete in a few months .. not good value for a game tbh
