Go join the army and try to run fast with your gun up in the shoulder while aiming down the sights and firing Arma lets you walk slowly while gun is up and ready to fire and aimed thats the best you can do in reality. Its a mil-sim not an arcade shooter.

Without a doubt Take the 249 SAW the Brit version of that stripping and assembly is tought to newbie recruits in a single lesson, as to cleaning well that doesnt take the brains of a bishop, GPMG (240) and L85A2 stripping and assembly are all also single lessons, its really not hard the weapons are designed to be as simple as possible to strip down....... Its actually more difficult to figure out how to strip down a Lee Enfield bolt (still not hard) than it is to take down most modern weapons.

I die within moments of finding it. Sunday(on Lingor) found a dew, 5 seconds later 2 Zombies spawn directly on me begin to hit me, I run out of building see a bandit go to raise gun and drop dead, bandit was faster. Later same day (still on Lingor more dew found here) find another, I think what the hell drink it, BANG and I bleed out unconcious on floor Its cursed

If you cant figure out how to field strip and clean an AK rifle then seriously you wouldn't have survived long its simple enough African child soldiers manage it. Even the fancier weapons (249 and 240) are pretty simple to takedown and clean.

Beans to fraggle duping has had a real shitey effect. I dropped a few shiney guns from Heli crashes for things like Enfields or CZ550's just due to ammo. Everyone having the highest end gear and mountains of ammo has altered the game entirely. All the empty servers too has made a epidemic of server hoppers. Bear traps were a funny addition I found a tent packed with them not long after they came in to the game and spent a while surrounding this campsite and vehicles with them all....... I know it worked as when i went back the next day to look at the campsite the tent that had morphine in it had 3 less in there.

1 - PDW takes so many ammo types its hard to run out 2 (joint) - 1911/revolver packs a nice little punch revolver has nice sights 4 - M9SD nice silent zombie kills not so common though 5 - G17 nothing special but better than standard m9 due to slightly larger mag 6 - M9 nothing to write home about 7 - Makarov this is just pants shite accuracy, tiny mag and low powered.

My personal best was 24 days with about 2-4 hours active time per day (back in around July), lived mostly on skalisty Island and the far north east this was before people scoured it for a chopper, finally died when my PBX just vanished (while doing 70 Kph). My current chernarus guy is over a week now but little playtime as I'm mostly on Lingor currently and life there is shorter as I'm trying to be a medic rather than a loner.

1 - More enterable buildings, Lingor shows this well its smaller than Chernarus but the amount of stuff you can enter makes it feel as big if not larger (personally I will not buy standalone if it has more than about 10% sealed up buildings). 2 - Randomise loot (this requires #1 to have been done) makes loot maps worthless still have classes of building but randomise which buildings actually have stuff in them so people really have to go searching while they are looting. 3 - Make survival harder there are enough threads discussing that so I wont detail it here other than it will give the game some depth beyond the short time it takes an experienced player to gear up. 4 - Wipe the hive now make 107's and as50's rare its got silly that almost everyone now carries weapons that are very rare (I see more people with L85's than enfields) I even know a guy that started playing with 1.7.2.5 was given a duped L85 straight away along with the whole kit set and has literally NEVER had to try and survive (meaning to him this really is a slow paced COD), I suspect this is common. 5 - Combat hackers by giving server admins better powers. Ok there will be some madmins and badmins and some people unfairly kicked from a server but thats better than the state of public servers now. 6 - More civilian vehicles per server seriously from all the humvee wrecks in cheranrus it seems the place was full of movie star car fans before the apocalpyse yet all that survived are a handful of rusty skoda's.... 7 - Make fuel rarer so it becomes a bit more prized maybe limit the number of cans a tank can fill and when its empty give it a 7 day cool down before it refills. 8 - Spawn the occasional Zombie in the woods just to make us loners jump. 9 - Add a BMP that is very hard to repair. Ok thats 9 things but meh

Any ammo for it would need to be equally rare as the anti-tank weapons to kill it.... would be epic fun driving it around the cities

A million yes to the Browning (FN) lugged one of them around Iraq its the AK of the pistol world squaddie proof and reliable

You know if there is a Zombie apocalpyse there would be masses of military weapons in circulation for the simple fact nations have mountains of the things stockpiled and it wouldn't take long for people to loot them. As Chernarus is Eastern Europe I would like to see less of the NATO kit (especially the exotic stuff and fake stuff... AWS on L85 is fiction its a hybrid of 2 real sights), keep most of the mil kit to former Soviet block kit add more variants here, replace the NATO MG's with PK type MG's, add an RPG and make ammo alot harder to come across (every bullet should feel valuable).Also more ambush type tools landmines and IEDS (again rare). Also put in a repairable BMP only 1 per server and make it 10 times harder than the heli to repair. All that stuff is currently in ARMA so adding it would be easy enough.

As I am mostly a loner that lives in the woods I love the tent guys, I sweep past take just what I may need at the time (normally swap my empty water bottles with full) then i leave, never destroy the camps (unless clearly hacked) thats like crapping on my own dinner plate

If its hacked in from ARMA and not part of DayZ then you would NEVER have found it in the game so by ditching your legit weapon you made a choice to support cheating therefore you are a cheater. Knowingly taking a hacked in weapon makes you as bad as the hacker, justify it however you want scum always find ways to justify their pathetic actions.

Get some honour and throw the dam hacked crap away, better a makarov ninja with balls than a mincy balled quivering faggot with a scripted in weapon. My personal view is I will shoot and bury my own friends for carrying hacked weapons

Any assault rifle if your really lone wolfing it you wont fire the thing much anyway PDW or a revolver/1911 as secondary are more important..... and Bino's to aid in avoiding people.
