Decided to try hacking Help me people the machete is stuck firmly in my case and I still dont have godlike powers -
Your i5 is not the good one its the bottom draw version Your 5750 is a bottom end gaming card too 6GB RAM indicates your not running dual channel which may not be a total killer but it shows whoever built your machine didnt really know what they were doing (unless you have some weird bastardisation of 2 + 2 + 1 + 1) Your getting the kind of performance you should you may garner a few FPS moving some things higher than low therefore taking load away from the CPU to the GPU though as your GPU is pretty far from beast the increase would be limited (if at all)

Thats an ARMA constraint though there are eastern weapon packs that add all the sov block kit you can imagine from nagants and SKS's to stetchkin pistols though I guess adding them to DayZ would have involved licencing issues with the creators (look for vilas east weapons pack if you want to try it in editor). -

You only need OA if your staying with (and waiting for) steam, if you buy outside steam then you would need the entire lot again (or at least ARMA OA and ARMA II FREE). Don't cheat this time it has cost you $$$ Also really pay attention to the guys that said format if you did get a keystealer there could be shite left over hidden on your PC...... shite that may be able to do more than just take CD keys

There's a similar concept I have seen before 2 clans/groups take a castle each, they spend the week gearing up, making camps, etc etc (throughout this entire thing publics can join the server), then from friday evening through to sunday night the 2 groups war against each other the winner being the side that hold both castles. You could spice it up by having a 3rd group openeing possibilities of alliances and treachery, the occasional public player knocking around just adds an element of "unknown" -

Chernarus is the king BUT its become a bit stale it needs at least 90% enterable buildings currently the lack of buildings makes it feel smaller than it should. Lingor, I really like this one it feels much bigger than it is and the extra player models are a nice touch Takistan, I am so dissapointed by this one. As an ARMA player I wanted this map given the DayZ treatment from day 1, now it has been its so half arsed and badly done it is shit. For those that dont play ARMA there are an entire boatload of takistani civilian models yet this map just ported the chernarus zombies.... getting chased round a mosque by a christian priest is just stupid. Add to that the zombies dont interact properly with the buildings (walk under floors) and other little details. I wanted to love this one and if done properly I think I would have however as soon as you load this one up and see the Vilayer name you know its a shit, badly done, cash in. -

In most european countries there are not a huge amount of privately owned civilian type arms, there are massive stockpiles of military grade weapons that would quite likely in the event of total society meltdown enter common ciculation, saying that the .50 cal type anti material weapons (AS50 type) are not even in common military circulation they are exotic even then (my old infantry regiment never had one of these rifles in its armoury but we had at least 1000 L85A2, 100's of L86A2, piles of L96 sniper rifles, Piles of L110 LMG and FN MAG GPMG, 81 mortar, 51 mortar etc etc). In short I think there should be plenty of military weapons but not lots of the Special forces/super exotic stuff. -

1 - Pay to Win 2 - Goes all arcade shooter style 3 - Has less than 90% enterable buildings (this one really is a dealbreaker for me) 4 - Allows stupid attatchments (think bf3 blinding lasers/torches or heavy barrels added to fixed barrel weapons etc etc) 5 - Gets hacked within 12 hours of release (though this is a fact of life for any popular title) 6 - Has easy to do instantly found loot duping methods 7 - Doesnt include a repairable BMP -

Load pellets indoors each cartridge blasts out 8 pellets and each pellet can do 2000 blood damage if your close enough to make most hit thats a 1 hit kill, unfortunately beyond 40 meters and basically none will hit. -

I stopped picking up crowbars a while back. I realised give me a crowbar I think I have a weapon so take risks, crowbar being pants this would lead to low blood/death as i try to crowbar my through a horde of Zeds or a guy with an automatic weapon. So now I will go unarmed before I take that crowbar. -

No your friends can't join your LAN just because they live nearby, seriously go read what a LAN actually is. You would need to make an internet server then password it. -

1 - I don't doubt you are, I know the hacking issue is also something that is beyond your control but it's something the average user is going to give you stick for. Some things that are broken in this mod though make you look bad especially as these things have been fixed by 3rd parties (private hives) quickly and easily yet remained broken in the official mod. I dont dispute that in your shoes the focus should be to get the game made and released ASAP but it is a balancing act between game and mod (in my opinion) as if you lose too much interest in the mod you are possibly alienating your customerbase. 2 - Losing customers should always matter (especially as these possible customers are the very people that made this mod explode and therefore they got you your current job making the game) but yeah its not entirely within your control so while not losing sleep about it you should treat the issue proactivley (as you largely do, the fact you respond on these forums speaks volumes in a positive way). -

Glue and minimum 90% enterable buildings On a serious note though you are losing some future standalone customers through what some perceive as failings/shortfalls/cant be arsed to fix it in the mod, hackers likely being a large part of this reason people are going. Saying these users all went private is not true infact of the people i played this mod with and the people I introduced to it very few are still playing and maybe less than half of the total plan to get standalone....... compared to late june/early july when all would have pre-ordered and paid for a standalone. *edited for clarity* -

BOTH ITEMS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE IN THE GAME....... the same arse that hacked your "harmeless radio" could equally hack in a platoon of BMP 3's people like you helped validate those hackers existence by taking the "harmless item" in the 1st place. You can use the mildots to find range easily and quicker than using a map or a range finder (unless you cant manage simple maths). -

If the surrounding ground was pounded then likely a hacked in arty strike or bombing run, its possible to take down buildings with satchel charges but it would take a fair few well placed to do the firestation and you probably wouldnt have all the dead players around it.
