Everyone who reads this post will probably know that as of now there are 3 major hotspots , them being cherno + balota , elektrozavodsk and stary sobor . The minor hotspot being NWAF. Now there are 2 major cities along the coast and another airfield ( NEAF ) and the 2 other cities being berezhino and solnichny ( pardon my spelling ) . There are extremely few people in these 3 towns . NEAF I can probably understand due to lack of good loot like a barracks but berezhino has 2 supermarkets, military tents and a hospital while solnichny has a good amount of industrial loot and is fairly close to berezhino . The amount of loot available is around the same level as in cherno and elektro . Now I'm not too sure if the spawning of new players is gonna be on the coast for the SA ( God I hope it is ) but then maybe if there were many more spawns along the eastern coast then that area too would be hot . Another idea for hotspots would be using the combination of radios and crash sites . For example if someone found a radio in a military installation then they would here over the radio on the default channel the distress channel for the crash site with the grid location thus creating variable hotspots . Only the radio bearers would know the location of a new crash site with better loot than the normal crash site . There would also be pre existent crash sites like in the mod which players run across into . Also there will be many more use of radios but that's another point all together and I hope that radios are there in the SA .

Essentially they need the acre system . Only the radio part not the direct chat on teamspeak part . It would be perfect for teams .

Ok , I'm a bandit . I kill all armed survivors and bandits on sight . I have played dayz for 6 months now . On a few rare occasions have I not been killed . Earlier I used to be a friendly guy who offered people the benefit of the doubt . I used to say friendly when I saw an armed survivor . Only when I died for the hundredth time ( I counted and many times I was a bambi ) did I change into a bandit . I still offer weapons to bambis and give players who haven't seen me near them , the benefit of the doubt but if they saw me and are armed ( even a makarov or hatchet ) I shoot instantly . So I'm neither cowardly nor am I stupid . I'm just sick of dying to ungrateful people .

You can use the direct communication function and press caps lock to speak with nearby players . Teamspeak is recommended for team play . Also if you want to speak with everyone on the server you can use the side chat function ( private hive only ) or join the teamspeak server given by the server admin .

Hey man . Just download dayz commander and use that to install dayz and the beta patches . Also you can use it to install the unofficial maps like panthera , Taviana etc . Its a user friendly way to play dayz .

What do you mean by borrow ?? . Does he use your steam account for it or did he torrent arma 2 and use your CD key for the installation . If you can tell me that perhaps I can provide a solution .

Yeah for the first week or so I just used to stay prone and crawl through town . Now that I have acquired all A grade weapons I guess I forgot that kinda stuff .

Ok true they may have been infected and for all purposes might still be alive but then its the AI that needs work and run straight at you . I always assumed a zombie is a dead person who was reanimated and which is why they can't run . I have not seen 28 days later but since everyone mentioned I have already set it up for download . The problem is that since zombies don't actually exist there are many different concepts for them . They can run and they can walk . Maybe this game needs more zombies and more varieties of them . If they do run indoors now in the SA , then let me say this . We are DOOMED .

so they are infected but are not undead ?? then explain the rotting skin on their bodies ?? if they were merely infected then maybe they should look like us also. The rotting skin suggest decay of the body which should not allow them to run that fast anyways . And yeah they should compensate by adding more zombies with a slight damage increase .

I don't suppose a notorious bandit can join in ?

Probably is a lone bandit who will shoot all armed players and trolls the bambis .

Bandit clan member who will kidnap you or KOS .

Elektro and cherno cause I find killing armed survivors very peaceful and makes me happy .

I'm sorry if this has been posted before but think there should be a system of acre that if used would be awesome . Radios found in military installations with different frequencies can certainly be extremely useful . Just a thought though .

Yeah its possible . Copying files is also very simple . All you need to do is make a backup of the games you downloaded on your work pc on an external HDD . Connect the hdd to your home comp and click restore games in the steam options . Simple :-D

Hey guys I haven't been active much since my cd got stolen. I am about to buy a new copy of Arma 2. I noticed that a lot of new features have been added to the game. It all looks really good and kudos to to devs for the great work done. My question is that did it increase player count and make the game more exciting. Is it worth buying it again now or should I just wait. I would appreciate honest answers and not trolls please. Thank you
