  1. Thats basically what i just wrote lol except i wrote it in-depth so everyone understood.
  2. I think the mod had a decent anti combat logger feature. They should make it that if you shoot at someone then they are put in combat status and there exit/disconnect is locked out for a period of time (the bullets that cause them to go into combat status actually need to be shot at or close to the target) and if they decide to alt+f4 or end the games process then the server should leave a clone behind for the remainder of the time the combat status would have lasted (also the clone can also be put into combat status by shooting at or near it just like the player). This would allow players to then keep the clone in combat and if they kill the clone before the combat status period runs out then the clone sends a message to the server to kill the player it was cloned from. And if the clone combat status timer runs out it then sends a message to the server to not kill the player and then the clone instantly disappears. Thats about as close to being fair to everyone as it gets in regards to combat loggers or someone that simply had an issue and crashed or something .....i think as its just not possible to do much else.

Yes i fully agree that its fairly simple and not massively time consuming....but they need to add specific loot relevant to the mod ....cant take all that loot from arma3 :) Also remember their team isn't that big so everything they do that requires time and effort should be used to fix the game they already have before infront of them before putting time into making more loot they don't need yet and fixing any bug's/glitches that come along with those.
  4. Moron.... your full reply is total garbage hahahahah....its as if you are trying to reply to me with a comment about a different subject :S The pure fact that you started your reply with "ALPHA. ALPHER! Expect 100's of player wipes over the next year." just shows that you have no clue what i was actually talking about lol as i wasn't complaining about player wipes....go read all my other posts before actually replying to a post misinformed :S FYI alphas aren't just about testing mechanics of the game its about providing feedback on everything to do with the game and that includes giving unbiased feedback good or bad. You cant just go around saying its alpha its alpha expect bugs every time someone provides their views/feedback otherwise nothing would fucking get sorted or changed. Now iv informed you what alpha actually is i look forward to seeing a proper reply fully relevant to what i was actually talking about.
  5. You will always have these kind of problems in the game. Here is a few examples to explain what i mean : 1. My friend is on a server and im on another one i fall unconscious due to thirst...now if my friend joined my server to come help me is that cheating ? your answer to this should also be yes as the same logic you used above still applies but its isn't cheating as im still unconscious and hes still taking the steps needed to fix me up as he would if he was on my server with me to begin with if he wasn't able to switch server to help me then i would die. This would mean unconsciousness already fails to serve its purpose but its widely accepted as a game limit so there's lean way here 2. If i use a bandage to help my friend after a fight with a zombie because he has no bandages or rags but i got that bandage from another server...is that cheating? the answer should again be yes using your logic but its not as im still taking the steps i would normally have needed to take if i was already on his server to bandage his wound. If i didn't find that bandage on another server and he couldn't find a bandage on his server then he would die. More lean way ? What im getting at is that this is a game ...simulator or not ..there needs to be lean way with whats added and there needs to be lean way to this design and that lean way is making it only apply to people who recently received damage from another player. Sorry if i didn't explain it that good as its 3am and im fucked :P
  6. Adding more loot wont give you more to do...it will just waste time and effort on adding things that don't yet need added. What he needs to keep doing is fixing current bugs/glitches and improving on animations and the engine itself to help fix zombies. After all the this core stuff has been completely fixed ....then and only then is when he should be adding other stuff in otherwise its just gonna end up a big buggy mess. Get a totally polished base game and then add stuff ...fix the bugs that accompany those stuff and then add more ...theres no point in adding bugs to more bugs and creating a total mess is there ?

It is a big deal lol hes punishing people who haven't got all day to play games that can sit and wait for someone to blood bag or saline bag you (this isn't the mod ...getting this loot takes a lot of time) and that's time they may not have and shouldn't need to have as they should be able to leave the game whilst unconscious ...do what they need to do be it look after kids or go to work then continue from where they left off when they have spare time. Whats wrong with that ? They shouldn't be punished and lose all there gear/loot because of something so stupid as not being able to leave and continue. Its not as if their combat logging or cheating is it ? If they were shot by someone then disconnected then yes they should be forced to respawn . Dean needs to add to this design and make it only affect people who recently received damage from other players. That way it helps to fight combat loggers and doesn't punish innocent people.
  8. You do know you can drink directly from water pumps and ponds that are all around the map right ? just drink drink drink drink till your belly is full and you wont get that message for at least an hour :P
  9. Wow Dean revert this lol ...Design: players who disconnect when unconscious will die. I sure hope this only applies to people that have been recently damaged by other players and not people who go unconscious because they didn't eat/drink/rest enough. I for one know people like to leave the game to eat or go to sleep or work and stuff then continue from where they left off when they have time. Is it just tough shit to those players that don't have all day to play games and they lose all there gear/loot and have to respawn ? If this is to fight combat logging then you need a better system lol as your punishing everyone not just combat loggers. Other than this ...great work Dean and team.

    Abundancy of loot

    Spawn chances and stuff will be looked at later on in the development .....its a good thing to have too much loot ....the more loot there is the more people can test that loot for glitches and bugs ....its whats needed in the alpha stage of development.
  12. I love that too and its a good addition to the game but those are just descriptions and mabie about 10 percent overall of the 100 percent medical system he has in mind.

  14. That was very constructive ...now ill be just as constructive and tell you that your a moron and that kind of comment is just plain stupid. Hes not asking for spammable blood bags or throw down med kits so stop talking complete garbage. What he is asking is that the medical system isn't made stupidly complicated,complex or boring to the extent that you need to run all around the map trying to find 10 different items just to give yourself a successful blood bag that doesn't end up killing you. To be totally honest i don't see why Dean intends to add all this crap into a zombie apocalypse game ...he may aswell just make a fucking actual survival game without the zombies as he seems to be putting way too much time into stuff that isn't actually needed. This is a quote from Dean "I consider medical about 10% complete. Challenge is to make it more complex without more overbearing and confusing. V. hard".....10 percent? really? it seems pretty much good enough as it is and will be even better once he puts use to some of the medical loot currently in the game that isn't of much use atm ....but to actually go and waste time adding another 90 percent to a system that just doesnt need much more work done is just a waste of time and effort ...id rather they put that time into something else like new zombie model's (fat, extremely fat, skinny, missing limbs) and building a system that affects the speed these zombies move and navigate. Extremely fat zombie that cant get through a small gaps and are mabie really slow but silent ? I dunno theres a 1000 differernt things that the time and effort could be spent on.
  15. Im almost 100 percent sure that there's like a 10 percent chance whenever you join a server it wipes your gear and respawns you. Its happened so much to me like just 10 mins ago i was on a server fully geared and then went to join a friend and when i joined i was a fresh spawn :S I then proceeded to join to several other servers to check if it was just that server causing it but it wasn't i was a fresh spawn on all of the servers i joined except 1 or 2 where i spawned in behind a wall in elektro with gear and loot that i had before i went to bed last night. The gear that i had last night was lost today when i joined a server so i then had to regear (this gear was then lost as i explained above). Anyone else noticed this ? Real pain in the arse because i never actually had the chance to use my gear unless i keep dayz running all the time on one server.

  17. You may be playing on a server thats already been looted.....but from my experience you can get pistols from firestation/powerstation and you can get m4's and all the other military grade gear from the NWAF and similar places.
  18. Indeed .....no more usain bolt zeds that zigzag towards you that you can never lose unless you went through a building. Also when (if) they can fully make a proper melee system that actually hits the zeds when it should then its gg ...that itself is worth my £20.
  19. The real question is why cant we force feed this disinfectant to a player we put in cuffs ?

Haven't ran into any infection whatsoever yet ...i get in loads of fights and eat food that have all states of damage before and after fights ...i drink from ponds constantly and water pump and also no infection so thats very odd that it seems a big problem with you :S hope its not as bad as you say it is when i experience it as it sounds overkill. Blood bag is only useable on other people ...you take blood from them and then can give them a transfusion later but you need a IV kit to administer the transfusion. Yes the melee is horrible atm and very very unpredictable ...sometimes i can one hit players with a hatchet and other times it takes 20 hits ...not to mention the collisions melee weapons have with walls/roofs/floors when inside buildings (this can be helped a little by crouching and/or making sure your not too close to walls and stuff.

  22. This was always a problem even in mod ....im not sure the VICINITY feature is working properly as if your standing near the body it should detect the body so you can loot the gear without having to search for the little gun icon to loot people.
