Ok so Im all for letting players kill who and what they want at anytime ...Brilliant part of the game :) but you get all these whiners comming here to make suggestions on how they should be punished/disadvanatged for killing other players ...but iv yet to see a good idea that would be realistic...but at the same time its hard to come up with good ideas for this kind of thing as it is a game and people should play how they like. Anyways how about a "word of mouth" feature..word of mouth generates a description (think of it as if you have already been told the description before you spawned) of player(bandits) that are going around killing people and this player has been described then his description passed to others through word of mouth. This should only affect start of the game during gathering/looting and everything where you would probly only usually have a pistle or hatchet. From what i can see as this feature should only work at close distance and will not effect ranged gameplay as the player would be too hard to indentify using the discription (word of mouth) from long distance. Word of mouth will shown on the debug monitor and will change between trustworthy to untrustworthy depending on the player that is being looked at during the time. These two will be calculated by the overall murders a player has commited during the full amount of time spent on the game. If the player(Murderer) is close to you and you look towards him ...your debug monitor will change to show the appropriate data. Sorry if i explained this poorly but im tired :P Now ofc I expect people to like or dislike the idea. But im Pro PvP also know that something should be done to help surviviours determine if players are trustworthy or not so that they can approach them and begin there coop. Also this Word of mounth feature would only calculate murders from the point it is introduced ...so players that have been going around murdering others because they ( wanted to play with people but couldnt trust them so instead killed them ) can "start over". Post your thoughts guys ...just wanna see what you think of this and try to look at it from bandit and survivious pov.

Anyone that reads this and likes/dislikes the idea ..can you tell me why please...Need feedback so we can come up with more refined ideas. Where in Alpha and this is where stuff like this should be added :) Then refined in Beta ..You know the script :P

I love how every one of your posts is full of holes. Ophidion says "And I'm sorry, I wasn't aware you lived in an infected fictional game where you can kill and eat people" - didnt say i was....but im asking for the feature. Ophidion says "Oh look out, we have a badass out here who likes eating bodies instead of the goddamn food" - If i couldnt find food or was low on food and cannabalism was an option ..then yes id eat bodies. Ophidion says "Wow, if you think to actually eat the body instead of looking inside of the pack the person was carrying, you clearly are an idiot" - and what if they dont have food ? what if they just ate it or just spawned not long ago ? Then there would be no food to take...so cannabalism it is. Ophidion says "you would have to be a fucking dumbass to realize that ONE of them has to have food in their pack" What if they dont ..or what if they only have like a can of beans? I know what id do ..id eat the body...and save the food for the journey. Those where little giggle replies i wrote down as i didnt even have to use serious thought out replies to show that you where wrong yet again ..I love how easy you make it for me to slap your argument :)

So yet again you dont know what your talking about ..finding bodies isnt rare at all :)) Your talking about knowing things about surviving ..im sorry ..when was the last zombie/infected human apocalypse you where in to know exactly what people would and wouldnt do to survive and keep rations from running low? Also "Nobody is going to eat a fucking person to stop Hunger" There is no way you could know this ..especially if its not someone they knew ...god your so silly in your thought process!

Ok ill stop you there ...as you just proved my point that you dont know what this mod is about :)) are you stupid btw ...the answer to your question about the value of cannabalism is already answered in what i wrote ...there is no health value you fool ...only to stop hunger...and wtf nonsense are you talking about reaching into your pack for food ..you know what nevermind ..dont explain it as i already know your answer will be full of holes and not thought out.

Seems you didnt read all my post and just skipped ahead without using your brain and without reading into what this mod is accually about. Infected are humans and they are very much alive and are cannabalizing other people end off! None of your silly health value and organism mumble jumble! And for the record ...you wouldnt cannabalise people for "health value" as you said ....you eat them to stop the hunger ..silly person!

Your not stealing the topic and your view is wellcomed....As you will know its hard to explain how to add a feature that is based on realism to a mod...not only that but you need to add it to a mod and not totally mess up gameplay and as the mod is restricted to what the engine can do and what servers can do then there must be a line ...this line is where to compromise realism for gameplay and what can be done to minimize the compromize. Thats why I said that from when players spawn ..they will already have received the "description" of players (bandits) that have been going around killing other players. This description is based on information of what the person is wearing and looks like...and ofc as this is a game and only has certain models( unlike real life ) this is where another line is drawn ...the game will have to give you a description..and you will receive this description in the form of " trustworthy/untrustworthy" in the debug monitor ...ofc there is not debug monitor in real life ...but thats just another line where compromize comes in from realism to gameplay. I hope everyone understands what im talking about ...the game doesnt need visuals for this feature to work ...it can fake that it has took the visuals from a player(bandit) and then you recive the visual/description upon spawning :P

Well Jerry cans take up 3 slots in inventory. Just remembet that ..but if you where to use those 3 slots for water canteens that would allow you to drink 3 times ..so as jerry can can hold more ...it should take up 3 slots and can be used to drink 5 times before it runs empty ? who knows :P Good idea and should add a little more deepth to the game. -

Sorry m8 ...thought out idea ..but not a good one tbh ..last thing you need in a zombie apoc game like dayz is currency. My current currency is bullets ( I load them into my gun and give the bullets to you by shooting you with them ) in exchange for your loot especially your beans.

Idd zombie movement neeeds a big fix ...zig zagging lagging about :P And ofc the fact that they walk through walls :) But it is alpha and should be fixed at somepoint. Although u would think this would be top prio.

What if the ghillie suit was a little baggy and the backpack was worn under the ghillie suit ? that would still cover the backpack but make your model look a bit fatter :P Sorry but hiding the backpack is doable with a ghillie suit :) -
This is a good idea ..but mabie raise it to 5000-7000 life as 3000 seems a little low..but i do like the thinking behind the 3000 life u said.

I did change my post right after i finished writting it to correct what i wrote about searching the forum. Its habbit that i always save as soon as im done then correct it after ...also zombies or infected (humans that are have the virus) eating people ?

Time Glitch ! Have you ever though that ..mabie people just dont want to team up or share there stuff ? that its boring and they get more fun out of killing others ? Lets be honist ...Just surviving against zombies is boring...Knowing that there could be other players just around the cornor that will shoot on sight is more of a thrill. Look at it this way ...yourv teamed up with a few people ..got all the best items ..or close to the best also got a vehicle or whatever and all you need to worry about is keeping some food and drink to survive. Then what do you do ? Nothing as there is nothing to do ..except kill players! Killing others and the thrill of knowing that you may get killed by players on sight or by both a team of zombies and players ..thats what the game is all about ..surviving against everything especially players. Btw even if your suggestion went through ...you know whats gonna happen? ..like i said ..the game will get boring without pvp..so groups of survivors will turn into groups of bandits ..and then hunt other bandits and suvivors = Deathmatch. Its kill or be killed ..always has and always will .
