So true! :lol: I wasn't thinking that since just yesterday I heard of a few juvi teens knocked this lady guard out and took her keys then escaped for less than 24hrs. I pictured it like in the movies, when they may have been lucky, or had to hit her repeatedly. -

Both bandits spawning with survivors won't stop a hacker from being near the shore line with his great gear. They don't just spawn in every server they go to and hack/script in a bunch of weaponry/supplies. They would just hop into a server, still alive and well, than start shootin'! -

Okay so I've read the rest, and see your points. They would definitely have to allow the player to only get knocked out once, get up, than wait 30sec to a minute after getting up to be knocked out once again. Also would have to make it so a player can't disconnect after being knocked out, or in many other situations too in that case. Most players that loot another player don't take all of their loot, so they should be fine in the suicide department. It would be more rare occasion to lose everything, although the player doing the knocking out may have just spawned and could only find a blunt object, but while looking for said blunt object, they would obviously find other supplies too. I could see it being implemented into the standalone, but we will have to see what other features they have planned to fully make it work. -

I will finish reading the other half, but I could see something like this in game! Imagine having the ability to sneak up behind a player and whack him/her with the butt of your gun or a blunt object of some sort to knock them out? You wouldn't have to kill them, and you'd be able to loot them. I could work on many levels, and would be cool to see implemented! -
Yeah if anyone was to use this, they would definitely cut it shorter. Also gotta have a bit smoother camera work with players that can actually walk together. Maybe have them walking in slow-mo?

It happened quite a bit when I first started DayZ. Now I pretty much shoot on sight depending on the weapon you have, or if it looks like you've got good loot. I will lay or hide and watch the person as they run around. Get some good looks and when I decide, "Yep, he's dying today." I wait for a nice opportunity and pop! -
Yeah they really don't need a bunch of maps going around. It can be horrible when it's a PC game, especially one like Arma II. With an Xbox game like with the FarCry Xbox version, it helped keep the maps in a nice list with an okay rating system and what not. (PC version probably was the same, and wouldn't it take space on Armas server to have a ton of maps or would it be like Counter Strike where the maps are just located on the players computer?) They could do it, but as mentioned above me, why when they already have a map maker made.

Meh... As good as the FarCry 2 map maker was, the game blew. I much rather enjoyed the two first FarCrys on the Xbox which had great editors too, but a better community. I litterally was attached to both of those FarCrys for a 2 years straight +. It was such a wide verity of play with that map maker. Obstacles, sweet maps, or you could even make a map and add rules to make your own type game. I have "Border Patrol". Half was desert (Looked like Mexico) With a real life like border and than a small town. It was really fun, but I'll spare you the details. Good times, good times. Later! CZ~

Never mind... Fallujah is now an actual "DayZ" map, thus scripter & hacker party up in them servaz. What a piss off, I want it back to normal the good ol' way it was played. Hopefully it's better now though! -

Were you in the servers with the highest player count? (Play amount) Maybe it's just a group of scripters trolling the Fallujah servers, since in the two weeks+ that I've been playing Fallujah I have never, ever ran into any hacker/scripters on the map/servers. -

Okay map, except so many problems! There is about 4-5 home type buildings in this map, and only one out of the 4/5 of them has loot in it! Also, only two zombies spawn per one of those houses making it seem like there isn't many zombies in town at all. When you hit the areas that have a bunch of those shipping containers or those fields with a bunch of open shacks with loot in em'. Thos two places have the most zombies per square foot. I've played a lot of Fallujah since it came out, and only was able to find any of the 3 handguns, M1911/Makarov/Revolver and a Lee Field eveytime I started a new. (After dying) Not sure if I was just lazy or enjoyed running around the town, but it took me about a week of Fallujah before I went to the airfield for the first time. Tons of helicopters in the map, and tons of barracks in the one Airfield down in the South East corner of the map. Didn't hit up the "FOB" up North up the centre of the map, but all in all I enjoyed the map to continue playing. Never really joined a server of more than 25-30 players, and with that I haven't ran into any hackers or scripters at all yet. Found a Helicopter with Hydra missiles fully fuelled and repaired. It looked like a UFO in the distance when I saw it for the first time. It was night time and off in the far distance past a few buildings, green and red lights flashing in pattern. (Or glowing) Ran up pretty close scared shitless untill I was closer and decided to crouch run and look around a lot. No one, no sounds so I bolted to it and "Boo-Yaw!", had me-self a heli oiey dieed~! I flew for about 20min in whateve mode it starts in. (Hover mode on/off?) Finally turn it on or off, and I was ripping! Thank you to the makers of Arma II for making the Heli very easy to fly! Hope to see more maps soon, as I haven't played Lingor yet as my DayZ Commander doesn't seem to have the right version of the Lingor map even though it says I have the newest version. I tried to reinstall the version and nothing happened. =P -
That's exactly right! Rocket and the team have a lot of work to do for the standalone version... Even though it's price will be cheaper than most full version games, we as the players will still have out standards raised when it's launched. It can only get better from here, and to decrease bandits we need more zombies that are actually a challenge, and maybe make the game its self a tad more customizable the server hosts can make a game that they feel certain players would prefer. Nothing to detailed, just the ability to change a few things. (Like general or specific spawn percentages of weapons. [Just one of a few customizable abilities to the server hosts.])

With so many good guns being not very rare, makes it so players feel the urge to kill on sight than taking the risk of getting shot once by a high powered rifle and dying. Maybe make more guns super rare to give players the chance to get shot at once, miss, and fire back, or just get shot once before attacking. I've also heard from many player about times they've gotten betrayed by another player after agreeing on being "friendly".

They just need to have more crossbows in DayZ. Realistically the amount of zombies shows that the outbreak is long gone with few remaining zombies showing that that outbreak has already swept the area and moved on. With that, the amount of good weaponry would be very, very low. Also with the level the zombies are at right now, (With how difficult they actually are.) we need more weapons like crossbows and making hand guns rare plus other weapons above that would be super rare. Zombies would be harder to fight off, (Not that we even have to shoot a zombie) and battling other players would actually take some skill. The game will get much better when the standalone comes along, and maybe even more customizable in a lot of the factors, but we can only wait n' see. I would love to see a nice crossbow in game, but as mentioned it would just get passed on in a flash with the spawn rates of other better weapons so high.

Yeah that seems fare. For both putting on and taking off the tracking device, seems very equal in spawn percentages on items that are needed to do either two. The tracking device would be as rare as a new engine, but only spawn in certain locations (military) as the fuel tank is only found in a certain are(s) too. The GPS is as rare as a tool box, but again with the locations makes the percentages of the items differ all in all. It's a nice concept and wouldn't mind seeing it in DayZ some day soon.

Until they make the zombies a threat and add more of them, bandits will be everywhere. If not that, at least players that will shoot on sight. Nothing he can do until the standalone version, or the Arma II version. It's more of a, "Wait n' see". -

There are so many ways around all the stuff you've bitched about. You're the dumb one for not knowing this, or trying to do something else. What else are the players to do with minimal zombies that suck ass? There are private hives, and so much more that would make everything you've whined about go away. I rarely run into trouble looting Elektro and/or Cherno in any server with any amount of players, as it's not hard to do. Especially a private hive, where I've never had a problem with 30+ players on at a time. Sure there is a hacker here n' there, but once again to avoid them, join one of many many private hives that are "White Listed". -

Animals disappearing?

It happens a lot. You just gotta grab the meat hopefully asap right after the gut. I understand that the animal will sometimes disappear before you can even gut it, but hopefully they fix that someday soon. =P -
Wow, I'm surprised I never had really ever thought about it, but you're right. It really shouldn't be in the game, or even maybe super super rare. People should have to take the risk of using a flare or even a chem stick, as the cost of someone else or other group may see them or their group. I can't wait to see the standalone version to see how far they take DayZ. For it to be it's own game has to come with a higher standard, and that means more Zombies, and hopefully more open buildings. With that, I would say either have no night vision, or again, super super rare spawn %. We will have to wait n' see!
