Yes I do know that, and as mentioned I have been more on the grumpy side today so I didn't want to take shit from some "weedmasta". My fault for posting on a forum, but I ain't getting blammed from a guy who has to show the world he smokes weed. (Not hatin' on him, as I used to be big on it too, and still smoke it on the rare occasion.) Any ways, I should get some sleep before I rage into a comma. God damn I'm tired...

Exactly why my title implies "Zero close combat" as this can easily happen to anyone. Of course it all depends, but I do know this and I guess shouldn't have posted for feedback. More so just posted to get the rage out! :lol: Peace!

Yeah that's all I had... I'd just died yesterday with much better gear n' weaponry. Had my L85A2 AWS, plus a Kobra since my AS50 ran out of ammo and the fact I never used it lead to me giving it away to my team mate.

I was first person looking over my guns cross-hair. I thought that may be the case as with any game that can happen. Obviously this doesn't happen all the time, I just had a long day and was really dumbfounded by the whole situation. I am tired though, so I'm heading to bed. Yeah okay buddy. The guy was a foot away from the tip of my gun... I know how to burst and single shot, but seeing how he had a PDW and was shocked to realize I was even there you'd think 10+ bullets would have killed him. I could care less if a few bullets missed, since around 10 of them hit him before going down.

Definitely my accuracy. After all I've only been playing shooters for 17 years now, and a lot of those years included consistent playing of them. I know what happened in that room, but I guess there is no real evidence as there was no recording. :P

So I hear now n' then players complaining that it's to easy to get you health/blood back to 100% by eating food, mainly cooked meats. I'm not sure if this is new, but eating canned food also gets your health up too. So if player want to make a solution to players eating meat on the battle field or in a fire fight, than why not make it so you player can only eat so much? Realistically you wouldn't eat 7 cans of food in 10 minutes as I just did. Thanks for your time, CZ~

So I guess to keep it short for the reader I'll stick to a general story, and start it right away... I was in Elektro's school getting supplies and hoping for some trouble, as I'd had great gear already. List of some gear: L85A2 AWS + AKS-74 Kobra + G17 Ghillie suit + Coyote Backpack Night vision + Range Finder + GPS/Map + Ect... So I'm on the second floor patio and I see/hear an Old Hatchback drive by in front of the school towards the West fire house, so I stay low and keep an eye out. Two players come running towards the West side of the school so I zoom my thermal and fire away taking one out as the other comes to close for me to see any more. I get in the doorway watching the stair way in case he enters for a sneak attack when I hear rapid gun fire at my back. I was dead. (Later was told by my brother that the fire house has a perfect view of the school...) I spawn in between Cherno n' Elektro and decide to hopefully get my loot back. As I'm running towards/into Elektro I hear & see a helicopter hovering over as explosions go off all over the town but not rapidly. I still run as fast as possible to get in the action. ( with no weapon x] ) I get to the school and all that is left is rubble, as for many of the buildings in the town. The chopper is gone, so I head to the fire hall where I see the guys that had killed me left two vehicles in the garage of the fire hall, and I also notice they were all bomb to death. I loot the three bodies ad tons of zombies keep swarming me, and grab the ATV to help move quickly to gather loot before the Zeds get to me. I end up getting it stuck on a light post so I ended up with the Old Hatchback full of gas, n' fully tuned up. I drive off into the sun and later get attacked just barely getting away with my life, while way up North with no gas station the whole 30mins+ of driving. Gear acquired: M4A1 CCO SD + AK-74 Night Vision + Map + GPS Ghillie + Coyote Backpack + Ect... Nothing special... This was 2 days ago now so I don't remember the clan that was bombed or their names. I was also suspended for 3 days from the forums so that didn't help either. Any ways just a little fun story. Just one of those, "Can't believe that happened moments that makes DayZ oh so great!" Since I first picked up that knife, I had hoped to be stabbing away at zombies/players... A knife wouldn't be a great weapon against zombies though.

Fully agree, but we will have to wait n' see. There should be some wild animals too coming one day like bears.

Awh yeah that does suck... I've heard people spawning on the shore line with their gear gone too, so it's kind of like that happened to you in a different way though.

With the new beta patch version the chance of spawning on the shore line is very high. It sucks, but at least I haven't lost any of my gear.

Yes all you need it Arma II free and the Arrowhead expansion. The mod is only for the expansion. So you don't have to wait until the stand alone version!

Hold shift, and click an area on the map. If you can see the location while playing you'll know where you are. Use the numbers that go across the top n' side of the map. Also a GPS helps if you know how to use it.

Ah I thought they changed the brightness! It's perfect now. I also agree that night isn't scary any more since playing for two months now.

Of course. If it's the same Steam account with the same Arma, than yes you have the same character no matter how many you create in the game. Also you probably got kicked for leaving and joining the server again n' again as they thought you were duping items. Edit: Tell him to get Arma II free and then buy the Arrowhead expansion for $20, than he can play DayZ. Also he has to have his own Steam account.
