    Hey rocket, this is your barbeque, and it tastes good, do with it what you will because we're only here for the zombie burgers. Anyway, my only concern is with taking out this morality system without a new one to take its place. The fact is, that with this change there will be little repercussion for shooting someone on sight. At least before people thought, "damn I don't want to become a bandit and be chastised by everyone." Now, what does it matter? Perhaps there's another way to implement a slight visual cue as to someones previous behavior? Something like there literally being blood on a player models hands and/or clothes? Probably not easy to do at all but I figured it wouldn't hurt to add another suggestion to the thousands you get and have to weed through every day.

    Rocket, are you taking humanity out completely for the time being or will you still get negative humanity for killing another player? I ask because my friends and I took on this kind of bandit hunting(self appointed sheriffs) as to keep the lands as safe as we could and I guess this change kind of ruins that dynamic. So I guess we'll just have to try and take action depending on if they shoot at another player when we're around but I wonder if the humanity will still be rewarded if they were indeed negative in humanity themselves.

    A question about infected speeds

    I think MOST zombies should be a bit slower than they are now. Sure they're killing machines and do not feel pain, but I feel that doesn't prevent them from being hindered by their own physical attributes. Most humans before they became your zombies, would not in tip top shape to begin with. If it were possible, zombies of varying speed would make sense. Sure, there should be a zombie type that can sprint as fast as they currently do now(possibly identifiable to know they're of high target value?), just as there is a quadrupedal monkey-esque zombie. Keeping up with this idea, there could also be zombies that are slow lurching at all times, fat and completely out of shape or perhaps just old and feeble. Maybe these ones could even be harder to take down. Well, not the old ones, you just put one in their head because you feel horrible for them.

    IF this was an actual game...

    Studio developed. One time initial cost of game (possible DLC over the freemium model, purely cosmetic things like skins, outfits, decal sets for vehicles). Both studio hosted servers, as well as privately run servers to choose from (maybe go with the EA/DICE BF3 model of charging a little bit monthly for the privilage to weed out abuse). Do a Kickstarter, we want to give you money but you won't take it.
  9. Keep in mind, the textures used in Arma 2 Free are significantly lower res than normal Arma 2 so all assets used from Arma 2 will not look as good. Reference video here: . If this is something you don't care about then have at it. I personally am a freak when it comes to visual quality and even purchased the PMC dlc for OA just to get those better textures. Game looks amazing on my rig.This is also of note, I've heard people mention that Arma 2 Free doesn't run as well as Arma 2 (even less optimization). I'm not entirely sure though as I have not tested it.

    No keep them, the humanity system is awesome, it should just be perhaps a bit more difficult to become a bandit.

    BAF textures?

    Out of curiosity, does anyone know which textures/models would benefit from the full BAF DLC if any? I bought the PMC DLC as suggested for better textures, but I am unsure if BAF improves anything in DayZ.

    Haha, thats a good name for it. That texture doesn't seem lower quality at all though. Interesting.

    Swapping backpacks

    You also have to hover over the pack and scroll the mouse wheel to interact with environment. This brings up a little menu with more options. In there should be "Take (name here) Pack" option. if not, then move the loot around it as explained above and try again. After you swap, mouse scroll on your old bag and select the option that says take contents or something to that regard. Hope that helps.
