I think the feature need a mark person or "push to show name" thing. If someone hides behind a bush or something like that, and you happen to look at him an a name tag pops up. -

I don't like the first part. I think some people will sit on a hill with a scoped rifle and duck hunt. It will always be "some people" doing such, and destroy game play. But I'll think this will encourage more people. Maybe if it was 1 of 10 places, the coast like now and the possibility to spawn from from the sky with a parachute. It would be nice if there was some random text as you mentioned in the last post. "You wake up on the the coast soaking wet and dressed in seaweed..." "Someone shot down your plane..." "You have been waiting for you brother over 2 days on the location you agreed on, but he hasn't shown." The second thing you is something I have thought about as well, would love to see it in the game. All players have different style of play, some prefer night some day. Some basic stuff to choose from. -

If the person is lets say, within 20-25m. You'll have his name shown (maybe where the chatlog is now) when you aim/look at him. But first you need to mark him with "remember him". Even if you know someone, you could have problems recognise that person from a far distance. But if you know that the guy you know has the skin with the red jacket and green pants. It could be him running around up ahead or someone else with that skin. But when his will come closer you can see "his face" and recognise him... -

I agree with you Tartan! I think it should be some servers that you can use for server-hopping/PvP servers (which you choose when you create you character) and some other servers that you are locked to, with more RPG (choose when you create you character). AND I don't think this is something the devteam will implement right now, today, in an hour or so (some people seems to think so). -
A thing that I really like is the right button zoom. It makes any journey so much more safe. You think you saw something ahead, zoom in, no it was just a rock. I like it because it makes you safe. But I think it has to go, that's my opinion (read above why). I don't want to feel safe and the use of binoculars becomes useless. Sure I can just disable the zoom in button but why would I when I CAN use it. Maybe it is a function that is impossible/hard to disable due to the Arma engine i don't know.

I wrote about a notebook/diary in a other post. Unaware of this post. I really like the idea of finding other players writings.

Don't like the idea with a skill system. Maybe that Some players are slightly better at different things due to his pre apocalypse profession. That the player choose during character creation. Soldier has steady hands, a medic uses less medical supplie, a mechanic repair cars, building stuff with less parts, outdoorsman Can get more meat from animals etc.

I agree on much said above about keep the night as it is, kind of and add Some more lightsources. Some suggestions... - A larger "flashlight". Mobile, but big. Driven by a mechanical generator. Like the one in Metro 2033 or on a bike. Only usable when placed to the ground. - Battery driven flashlight with a lifetime. Changeable batteries. - Maybe a simple lighter or matches. A very small lightsource. But it could be very effective sneaking around in houses or looking for loot in town and you dont want to alarm a whole town. Maybe chemlight already does that.

Something that that would make the world more alive is the ability to find diarys/notes. Let's say you'll find an empty notebook somewhere. And you can write down anything in it. What you think has happend to the world, friends, foes, plans, some event that has happend during the day. You'll have it with you for some days, then you have to throw it away to make space for some bandages or maybe you die. Somebody else finds it, and can read it or continue to write in it. I think that would be very cool. And maybe just a note on a paper left on the street. "If you read this, drop your weapons because I'll see you in my scope."

A walking zombie (and/or a jogging zombie) with alot more hp. Crippeling legshots and instant death on headshots. But non of this would be scary or difficult if you will find all the ammunition and weapons lying around. Less ammo would make an encounter with one walking zombie much more difficult. And a running zombie would be terrifying, if i'll only kill it with a headshot or empty a clip to the body. More horror less action.
