this is either a hacker, (but they usually do it en masse) or a glitch Server administrators do not have the power to do such things :) there are a couple of pinned threads about what admins can and cannot do, the most we can do is kick/ban and lock a server (though we are not allowed to lock)

lol you can, just make good use of holding down (ALT + moving mouse) it moves your head only

Just letting whoever plays on SG 00 know that the settings have changed and 3rd person is now off...to give it a more realistic feeling. due to a suggestion, to stop bandits from 3rd person spotting. it is temporary but may become permanent. we will see how it goes over the next week =P

yeah i saw "problem?" for quite a while today

A Hacker hit my singapore server just 20 mins ago as well, killed everyone on there, luckily i wasnt in game, just admining it. how do we report it? send log files to dayz devs?

Server SG00 Was just hacked, a lot of people died in the process, anyone on this thread a victim? server is shut down temporarily, until i go through the server logs and find out who it was and send the data to the dayz devs If you were a victim, well, sorry =( even though hackers are out of our control, I've heard rocket is working on the issue though :) and if it makes everyone feel any better, i was there to catch it in the act as soon as they were killed so.....the hackers never had the chance to loot the bodies ^^ you know....if that makes anyone feel better XD

sucks, maybe he just didnt remember you? I used to get shot ALL the time XD until i started using voice chat to say "FRIENDLY! DONT SHOOT" lol and ive met a lot of mostly nice koreans haha =P one guy even gave me a blood transfusion and food =P

well i meant not chatting in game all the time =P just if you see another group of 3 survivors together, hide, and shout out to determine if its a friendly group, the chances are that they wouldve spotted you already too. and hopefully rocket works on triangulation of sound....because right now its really hard to tell where sound from a player/zed is coming from, also if a zed is aggro'd or not by sound XD

I actually have no idea =P also, i have a second account (more of a loot run expendable character but im thinking my crew dont mind joining and becoming one huge group of friendly survivors but we think its best we are different groups on the same team because they dont want 8 people running around close together =P just paints a big target for bandits we would prefer it if we each let each other know of locations and next stops so we know if we are bound to encounter each other trade supplies etc :) and move on, and also share loot and go on medical runs together but stick with 3 3 man teams or 2 4 man teams to make it easier for our group, double the loot and double the chances of survival incase of banditry :P and here is what i was thinking, my second character, who is an expendable one, i thought of joining your crew directly. so ill run around loot and watch your back with my second char ;) hows that sound? lol

just be careful guys, since there will be a lot of you grouping together now it makes your group more visible :P also you might come across my group and we are friendlies, so hide and use voice chat in game to discern between friend or foe, and take cover in case they answer with lead. XD

Hey, at home i have two PCs setup, and i have a friend who frequently comes over to play on my PC i bought him a copy of ARMA II on steam to play dayz with me, however since i have also used my second pc for my dayz account the save files are on that pc too yesterday when he went to login to his steam, go on sixlauncher for dayz and play, he ended up using my character instead of a new one. (so basically we cant be in the same game at the same time) things i have done to try and rectify it (and its not a router problem because my brother has a 3rd pc and plays with me just fine) -Uninstall steam, -Delete all game files (including the ones in my documents) -Uninstall six launcher -Reinstall and redownload everything is there any way to completely wipe every arma II / Dayz thing off my PC? to get a fresh install that doesnt have saves from my account? any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

thanks, but the deleting the reg file already worked, but ill give that a try again later because it sounds easier incase i have to do it again next time :D

Yeah, he can login if im not in, but then i cant login keep getting (kicked from server) probably because we are somehow using the same character save. however we both want to play at the same time, on two different PC's ill try rebooting again =P but yeah redownloading arma was a pain I will give that a try, thanks :) how do you create the other reg file with the other cdkey?

haha, yeah i totally understand that ;) thats why i didnt reveal chads location besides i dont mind another few survivors joining us, its just one of my crew members thats extremely sceptical lol

haha yeah i know, it was with great luck that the guy that tried to take potshots at my crew member (wounding him and almost killing him) had NVG ;) now i can play at night with no problem north where? we are still pretty much at the airfield kinda? but ill have to let them know about new people joining our crew see if they're ok with it, you know high risk assessment thing

True, the 3dp gives the ambusher the upper hand, but also give us the upper hand when looting as one of us can be the "lookout" and utilise the same strategy. (also fooling people into thinking there are only "X" amount when there are really "X+1" ;) i kinda like the 3dp when running XD not for much else however my server host does not allow me access to a bunch of files so i cant change values of most things like 3DP CH etc. =( maybe in the future they said but not for the moment.

yeah best if you two team up first ^^ then my team and i will make our way down south and if all goes well team up with you and to communicate either mumble or use in game group voice chat (Caps lock)
