Hello All, We have updated our server a bit, we have added back in AI, they no longer steal your car, the change for a bandit clan spawn is lower then the hero/solider. :) !! We are currently working on adding dogs back in as well, there are a few changes my boyfriend will still have to make but as soon as it is working we will have it added back in! Ya I can't give ya any tips on being a bandit, im not a bandit, but jeff can or you should talk to lorc next time your on! He is starting a bandit clan i guess :) wants to add more diversity to our server. I told him that you were looking to learn so he knows you may be asking him :) !!! And oh did i have a poopie day today, got up for work at 5 am and worked till 1230 , then went outta town with my friend on what should have been a 2 hour trip....ended up being 5 hours cuz it was pouring down rain the whole way there.....and she made me like pull over at like every dang exit to wait for it to lighten up.... which it did about 10 min after we would stop, and then i would get back on the interstate, and it would miraculously start pouring down rain again.... >> << So then on the way back it was the same thing....untill we got like 20 miles from home and it finally cleared up. Then she started driving, and there was a freaking dead skunk in the road, that she just happen to hit, and it was like instant gag reflex, and i was holding it back. It smelt so NASTY! Then we had to stop at Walmart and as i was pushing out the cart to the car she like screamed i like jumped and freaked out, and she is like omg look at that beetle, and it was HUGE, i cannot express how HUGE this thing was i mean i live in South Dakota and i have never seen a beetle this BIG, but i guess i ran over it when she seen it with the cart so it was dead either way, then we seen several more around us, and was like screw this, and hurried up to leave lol.....Then on our way home we see this bright green light in the sky, and we like stop and get out to look, and didn't see it anymore....it was a really LONG night and strange, and poopy all at the same time LOL Hope your night was better :)

Not having restarts would mess everything up. Just for the record. Usually if someone looses something due to a restart we will help them find a new one and all that stuff, if were on. I don't know about other servers but that is how we are :)

Ask a admin, usually a server does its restart every so often like we do our every six hours, and it pops up in red to let you know there is going to be a restart. So an admin, can prolly let you know how long it is going to be till the next restart, so you can watch the clock, and start looking for the msg, saying there is going to be a restart.

So it is okay for someone to run a server, learn all the database stuff like SQL, ect i don't know everything cuz i just know basic stuff, **plus no matter how much they learn some scrips just cost to even get** But it is okay for them to spend their ENTIRE day working on bugs, helping people, adding in scripts, fixing scrips, ect. But they don't deserve ANYTHING for it! Never mind the fact that they more then likly put up the server cuz they like to play the game itself, and prolly don't play as much as they like since they are the owner of the server, i know this personally, cuz i rarely get to play, cuz when i get on it is Admin this and admin that. Either way It is a full time job, i know cuz i seen my boyfriend always working on our server weather it is him in admining, or working in the data base, fixing issues ect. And i am always on our server as an admin, and i work IRL on top of it. However I do enjoy admining our server but it is extremely time consuming, and there are alot of whiny people out there that we have to listen to, and 'kiss @ss' to cuz we are the admins! And unlike alot of private hive servers **not all**, were friendly, helpful, and we don't do @ssh0le things to our players, just cuz were admins! Personally if i didn't have my own server, i would most definitely donate to a server that had good, honest, admins, that didn't use god mode to kill you cuz you killed there BFF! In the end if you don't like it then play on a server that doesn't have any donation options, obviously they have more money then most and can afford to host a server for everyone and there mothers to play on, destroy, bug up, hack or whatever. However, at this point weapons or anything for donation. One of the things we do offer is a base, my boyfriend will build it with the 3d editor, nothing HUGE or anything, just something small that is safe from trolls. And we have Base Building as well, for those who just wanna build there own. We offer a few other non op things, but nothing that we consider game breaking. We have played this game on and off since it released. So we know that the point of the game is to scavenge things, vs getting them handed to you for a little cash!

Just tell her you have something important to get done, like getting that head start on the vegetable garden :) She will understand!

If you really wanna be a bandit, Jeff, you should talk to us on teamspeak, i think there is two guys wanting to start a bandit group on the server. So i can point ya in the right direction, you too Rabid :) Let me know!!!

LOL that is why you can edit the map when you can host your own server >< Our NEAF has more barracks and other stuff added in (he tried to make the airfields =), so does green mtn. My boyfriend felt the same way as you did LAME, so he fixed it!

I agree, running our server, the scripts, ingame issues, bugs, ect are pretty much my boyfriends job. And to me people who complain about donation need to realize these things, because if it wasn't for someone putting all their time and sometimes money, cuz it isnt like we make millions of dollars getting donations or anything, into the server it would not be there for you guys to play on. And again, most of the servers i have seen have been for donation, which means you dont have to do it if you dont wanna, i have never seen anything like you must pay me this amount to play on our server. And if you did run into a server like that then just dont get on it.

Nice post! Just for the record, i have paid for a couple different server hosting providers that were CRAP << >> I wont say any names but i will say the one we ended with is great, and has 24 hour chat support- which is what drew us in. So if your reading this post cuz your looking into paying for a new server for you and your buddies, go with dayzpriv....they are awesome!

I agree, and you fail to realize that people who host servers also have to have internet to host it, which cost, plus how ever much the server cost, plus if you choose to buy extra anti hack programs, like Navicat, and TSW. Which we have purchased for our servers. Then there is teamspeak, which goes up in price as depending on how may slots it has, same with the dayz hosting company yes maybe it is 30 dollars for like 35 peeps, but you want more on the server you have to pay more, it cost a little more then you think to run a server, not in just money but time. And i didn't even mention that alot of people like to have extra stuff on the server, and some of them scripts you have to pay to get. So i think donations for the server is completely okay, and as long as they are not giving out AS50s for load outs our anything that is op it shouldn't really be a problem. Like we will let you build a small base in the 3d Editor, and you can donate what you feel is right, we will then add it to the server for you. It helps even if the person only gives 3-5 dollars, it helps to keep the server up and going. If you don't like 'pay to win' servers, then just don't play on them. That is the best advice you can get. And im pretty sure there is no server that say you have to donate to play on it. So even if you do play on a server that has a donation option, you don't have to donate, it is completely up to you!

We played on a few servers, where admins would be cheating and crap, never got banned, and what could we really do had we been banned. But there are several servers with good admins, just gotta find the right one and you will be good to go :) Hope you have better luck in the next server you play in!
