I'm still waiting for a sale price to bite on the SA. I wouldn't buy it in its current state at $29.99 and now certainly won't at the raised price of $34.99. Going to have to stick with Dayzero mod for now even with the servers being slightly dead lately.

This. I hope a lesson has been learned with this thread. Don't provide a changelog for an update when you're not at least 1-2 weeks from making it live. This thread has been the biggest DayZ dick tease ever. Nearly a full two months now since it was announced to the forums and it's still not here. That's kind of ridiculous.

If that turns out to be true this will no doubt be the greatest update in the history of the mod. I hope you guys have success.

It's a trait of the current 1.7.2.5 so I would either get used to the concept of having to rebuild the vehicle each time the server restarts or just give up on vehicles completely until 1.7.3 is released, because there is no way you are going to find a server that "never restarts".

I love how within every community, for every game, there always has to be some weapon looked down on and classified as having "no skill" to use, as if it's a bad thing to have a weapon that actually works well in an FPS shooter environment. Here it's the M107/AS50, on BF3/BFBC2 it's the USAS-12, on TF2 it's the Huntsman/Sticky Launcher. It gets so old reading this same tired shit over and over and over again. I can just see that Marine Sniper in real life saying to themselves "why I must I obliterate people with this .50 cal sniper rifle from 1000 meters away? It just doesn't take any skill. I think I would sleep much better at night if I were to get closer to the enemy and put my life at risk. That would really make me feel like so much more of a man." Please GTFO with this "skill" nonsense already.

I don't find them to be that rare at all. Industrial sites almost always have them.

Actually it is the only M4/M16 variant that does the exact same damage as the AK series of guns, simply because the SD makes it weaker. Precisely why people are saying you need 5-6 rounds out of the M4SD to kill someone. Eight is obviously an exaggeration. It's a great gun for killing zombies but I'll stick with the M9SD for that. Pretty much any assault rifle is superior to the M4SD when you take the audible range out of the equation.

I agree Kurmuh and honestly I think it has one of the best scopes in the game, aside from the true sniper rifles, when it comes to accuracy. I can put that crosshair on a survivors head and know I am going to drop them with one shot every single time from anywhere under 300 meters. For close range combat I just switch to burst mode and aim for the chest. It drops them almost every time. I vastly prefer the ACOG to all of the M4 variants, especially the weak CCO SD.

SixLauncher approved?? Who gives a shit about SixLauncher approved? Learn how to manually install the game files already. Quit depending on an extra application that has to run, taking up system resources, to hold your hand and allow you to play this game. I seriously don't get the obsession with SU and Commander.
