Fair enough but I have big hands. I wouldn't say I have fired both extensively but I have put a few rounds through a G3 and never had any problems with it. I know they have bad reps as "jam-o-matics" but most of these complaints come from people who don't know a thing about proper gun maintenance. If the G3 is a CETME spanish make then I could see room for complaint however a genuine H&K G3 is as good as an old FAL. Now if you are springing for a DSArms FAL then you should be good on all fronts as I have heard nothing but good things about them. I wasn't taking a jab at Fabrique Nationale. Belgians make excellent guns and beer.

That's why I mentioned the G3. Same power but with H&K engineering behind it.

I am a bit of a gun nut but I never let it define my DayZ experience. I am hoping the FN FAL makes the cut and if not, then make a G3. It is such an underrated battle rifle and it's been around as long as AR's and AK's that I feel they definitely deserve a place in the DayZ gun pantheon. Since they both have sniper versions like the PSG1 it would be cool to have to build a sniper rifle instead of find one that has all the bells and whistles right off of the ground.

Since we're on the subject I am hoping you go for a more "sporterized" look to the older military rifles so they don't all have that full length wood stock. Sort of like "When grandpa came back from the war he turned this into a hunting rifle" since that is going to be more common than a bunch of pristine antique rifles. It will also make calibers harder to identify at range since they will all look very similar at a distance.

So after seeing WarZ's gameplay from PAX I think it's safe to say it's just DayZ+Cod. I may give it a whirl but my money is on the standalone. Patience people...if this thing goes from a mod to a standalone game inside of a year that's groundbreaking in and of itself. You should be proud to be on the cusp of the next wave of hardcore gaming.

I voted for it. I love the mod/game/anti-game whatever the hell you want to call it. It eats enough of my time to warrant a vote. I would like things to get better feature/hacker/scripter-wise but this still deserves our support. I'm in it for the long haul.

As much as I myself have tried to avoid it for the past couple of months, the "Endgame" is all about PvP. The haves get attacked by the have-nots and the haves counterattack. In the end they both lose and end with nothing. As a philosophical or sociological experiment this is the only outcome I have witnessed. I have gone to great lengths to attempt to get people to work together only to have them all end in bloodshed and selfishness. It's actually still pretty awesome though.

Well, that's our server and we have had rampant scripting as of late. We usually get off of work to come home and find ammo crates spawned in random places to fields filled with busses, some destroyed some not to people spawning multiple helos. We have had a couple of clan members on late at night when a "friendly" scripter comes in trying to give out heli rides and free gear. We usually restart the server between 7-9 PM EST time to clean up the previous nights messes. Right now it's just damage control and cleaning the filth. Glad to see you post on here Carebear Baddie as it decreases the likelihood of you being said scripter. If there is anything else we can do for you let us know. Sorry...we know it's a total mess.

That is exactly why I have 2 accounts. Well, it started that way...then your clan gets in trouble and you don't want to switch. My "Bandit" now has higher humanity than my main.

I am pretty sure transfusions are the quickest way to gain humanity. I haven't really experimented too much with it.

So basically I got this out of it: Screw you people for trying to give me a free/fun experience. How dare you do that. You should make me a lot of promises you can't keep like this other game that rips this off and came out of nowhere overnight!

I can attest to the same. One guy in particular that has been plaguing our server for a while got the BI-deepthroat last night.

It's getting rampant. We pretty much employed a scorched earth tactic to keep them from getting all of our vehicles. We have had Cherno and Electro engulfed for days now. When it gets to the point where you can't even play it's pretty bad. I've been on break for about a week now. We don't want to ban everyone that isn't us because PvP is great when everyone plays by the rules. If it wasn't this it would be ghosting or duping. It will get better I am sure.

You can ban them. As long as you have the precious evidence that the DayZ Admins (not server admins) require.
