    Why I kill.

I am also a soldier. I also know the difference between reality and dayz. The price of life is FAR more steep in reality than in dayz. This makes people work together to try to help preserve it. In dayz though, what's the fun in everyone banding together to hoard things or play grab ass? There will be a point where you have the shit that makes you happy for a little while, but after that, what is left? The answer is PVP. Because the answer is PVP, then the aggressive decisions I make and call "survival" are simply cutting out the middle part where I play grab ass. I am cutting straight to the point and, I would argue, having a lot more fun. Killing people for my reasons doesn't make me a dick or evil like it would in reality. You just respawn. Tighten up your shit next time. When I die I am not butt hurt about it, either. I assume the higher road is not to get worked up over a game. Also, I don't hunt the coast. I look for the big fish up north. Though, I don't dislike the guy with the m107 on dobry mountain looking over elektro. I got past him/them and made it north. Other players can too. I have no pity for you if you can't make it. Get better. I didn't get it right the first time. You have a point about "the community letting it get that far", sort of. Given the current state of the game there was really no alternative. Massive influx of players probably moves more quickly than server growth. This creates a more crowded and dangerous environment with more competition. Also, in a lot of cases, I see people being nice their first couple lives. Once the first person kills someone else though, then that person will most likely kill to try to get their stuff back. This quickly spreads. I like that.

    Why I kill.

    Thanks brah.
  3. Last night I was playing with four of my friends and we were having a jolly good time just surviving and travelling and raiding and generally doing thing one does in dayz. Suddenly, we were assaulted by a guy who spawned right behind one of my buddies, I watched this happen right before my eyes. Three of us fired upon him to no avail and he disappeared only to reappear behind another one of us and kill them. We logged out and then the death messages started. The entire server was being killed at an extremely rapid pace. The better portion of 25 players were slaughtered in under a minute. I don't remember what server we were on and didn't have the sense at the time to grab the player's name. I realize this game is far from perfect in a multitude of ways, but god damn it is fun and more so with friends. A couple of my buddies were very disheartened by this though. Any way to avoid this situation in the future? Tips?

A solution to the "bandit" problem

Having "PvP" and "Friendly" servers would ruin player interaction in this game. The friendly servers wouldn't be scary or difficult at all while the PvP servers, simply because of the distinction, would be the most hostile shit ever. I've played for like a total 6 or 7 hours and I've ran into two other players, both times I was very careful to reveal myself and both times we were able to help each other out before moving on. I don't see a bandit problem. Even if I do get bested by a bandit, that just means I was doing something wrong. Be it travelling alone, being out in the open, or whatever.
