I'm not sure if this has been covered already and "inb4 alpha".. I know, yes. But it seems everyone and I mean everyone that I have come across has had an M4 because of the insane amount of them that spawn in the new prison cell buildings. They then proceed to gun me down no matter what the situtation. I know KoS is a key part to DayZ. It always has been. I played the mod for hundreds of hours and thoroughly enjoyed it. This to me is more of a death match though. It's very frustrating trying to test the game and what it has to offer when everyone is mass murdering with M4's. Rocket said that guns would be rare and that mele would play a big part of DayZ SA. I really was looking forward to people using only hatchets or baseball bats etc for the most part. Fair enough if the loot tables haven't been balanced yet but it seems that an M4 is easier to come by than say a box of antibiotics which is kind of silly. Any thoughts?

I've been in a few pistol fire fights that were highly enjoyable. If pistols were made the staple along with mele and rifles the rarer weapon then this would be ideal. B)

Not every civilian is a skilled gunsmith though. And I'm sure there will be no Wiki guides during the apocalypse.

I'm all with you here dude. The amount of times where I'm out gunned by 3 bandits with M4's and I have a Mosin. The M4 should be made a semi-auto civilian model in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of these high powered military assault rifles.

My friend was killed by a can opener yesterday at the North East Airfield. He was in the ATC building on the second floor just before you go up the steps when he noticed a can opener. I was on the top floor and he shouted up to me.. "Dude, I found a can opener!.... aaaaaand I'm dead!" Immediate black screen for no reason, haha. More than likely a bug but it was very strange indeed. The can openers are on to us. Be safe when opening those beans folks. :beans:

I was climbing down the Green Mountain tower and just randomly died for no reason today.

The new items are alive. They're watching us.

It could be something to do with some of the new buildings not being fully tested yet. My friend said he would have been happier if it was a broken leg like in the mod, or just unconsciousness because we had a defib with us.

Nah. We were both at full health and stock piled with around 6 containers of food and canteens. I think he might of actually fell through the map because his body had vanished the second I went down to investigate.

Would moodlets like in PZ work? Say an icon appears/fades in top right.. "You're feeling peckish" - You eat some cereal. Then changes to "Fed" and then dissapears off screen or whatever..

There will always be ignorant people on the internet. Especially on PC.
