The most servers with realy low population (1-5 people) are not even running they are just about to start or restart or whatever if you try to join a server make sure that he is described as "playing" not as "creating" that should at least prevent the most "wait for host" issues.

You will be unconscious in case your caracter was shocked within the last 5 min before you loged out but it seems their is since 1.7.2 also a bug attached to it.

You are not able to do this you have to launch the beta patch exe in your arma2 files just make a shortcut to your desktop / taskbar for easy access. (Do not use some cmd files you find in the www it seems the most of them do only crap (as starting the game windowed))

Try "enter" on the numpad. That should work.

They seem not to move completly free but in a area around their spawn location just go on a less populated server and search at some fields if you find one animal get the meat move a little bit away from that spot (to the next forest in order to cook the meat might already be enough distance) and then come back commonly you will find now another animal in the area.

Extract the zip file in a folder and run the .exe file after that click yourself through the installer. If you can't download the file restart your browser and try it again.

That has nothing to do with server hopping at all it was a bug which appeared if you weared alternative clothing the bug should be fixed in 1.7.2.3 .

Who knows that's in the end all up to rocket but if you wonna stand as actual as possible look always in the announcement part of the forum and search for "Pending Update Build".

The loot file is not so specific about that one ("HandGrenade_west 0.99%") . Just through it away if you are not sure i mean grenades are anyways not that often usefull.

Always run arma and all arma related stuff as administrator that help's a lot.Furthermore you should probably try to install manually a older version of dayz and go check whether it is a bug in the newest update that causes the lag issues.

1.I do not know how you came to such weird start options try to start the game via sixlauncher or to set the starting options to "-mod=@DayZ". 2. That you can run other games doesn't matter at all with arma because the most games do need a good gpu to run and arma needs a good cpu. Even though you should be fine with the quad core. 3. Make sure to start arma and everything related only as administrator otherwise arma will probably not load a bunch of files which could be your actual problem.

If the graphic settings do not change anything for you then your cpu is not able to run DayZ (keep in mind that arma is really cpu heavy ) so buy a nice intel quad core and you should be fine.

While you are installing a beta patch you get warned that they are not designed to be downgradable so never try that again, if you do want an older beta version locate your beta folder in your arma2 files and delete it after that go ahead and install a new beta patch. The wait for Host screen ist commonly serverside the screen appears while the server is restarting make sure that the servers you join are described as "playing" and not as "creating". Furthermore there is only one advice i can give you against the crashes always start arma 2,OA,beta patch,dayz, steam or whatever could be related to arma 2 only as administrator this will prevent a lot of problems.

Arma 2 will detect a collision of two Objects and move the player away from the static object that may cause a broken leg or that your caracter is bleeding but does not have to.

Either your beta patch didn't fit to the server beta patch or your actual DayZ version didn't fit to the server. Be aware that a lot of severs are running completly other versions of arma and dayz then they claim in the description. Basically get the newest working DayZ and the newest working Arma 2 Beta patch and try to find a server who is as actual as you are. (The Info video is btw correct but you dont have neither to download normally your patches manually just use the sixupdater with that one you can also ignore the cmd file , in case you do want to download it manually i would recommend to write into the Arma 2 OA start options "-mod=@DayZ" and then to start the beta patch via the beta patch icon and delete the cmd because those often cause only more bugs ).

Usally their is not a lot of talk ingame because nobody trusts anybody else so talks are rare and about your problem with joining servers this issue just appeared because of new patches. Oh and what to do in DayZ ? You have to survive! Thats it basically but first things first go to the main menu of arma 2 and start the tutorial so you can learn the basics of moving and shooting after that go back ingame sneak inot a town find an enterable house (if you can look through the windows you can usually enter it) and scavenge for loot. The rest should be clear ,survive and have fun.

For food you should take a trip to the Supermarket after that the North is the way you wanna go for just keep following roads and watch out for road signs they'll lead you to the next village/supermarket and in one of these markets you will probably sooner or later find your knife and will no longe be forced to visit villages.

Actually their are huge issues with the latest update and in relation to the fact that you've been not the first who is banned on US133 it is either a problem with the dayz update or even with the latest arma 2 beta patch so probalbly you just should wait for a couple of hours until everything is fixed and if it then still does not work on 133 try out another server ( all official servers share their infos you will start with what -and were you left).

You probably joined a inofficial server after playing on a offical one or you joined a official server after playing on a private one. Watch out for words like "private","personal","not official" or "own database". It is recommended only to join offical servers because they do definitivly share their player informations via the Main Server "the HIVE" , if you join a private one you have to stay their in order to play further more with your character. In Case you played on a official Server and joind another official one i would say thats just bad luck stuff like that just happens from time to time their is nothing what you could do about that except for starting a new caracter and hoping for the best as well as a soon fix.
