Every kill in DayZ is fair
John Grimmer replied to TheMachine's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I agree with OP, but I preferably only hunt down armed people that will give me a challenge. That used to be what games were about - challenges. Now it seems games are far too easy and telling people that they don't have to improve in any way because they are special. That being said, if I happen to cross an unarmed noob, I'll definitely waste them. I just won't chase them down like I would an armed person that is far away. -
I find a GAZ, and am kind of pumped. Until I see it has 0/4 wheels. D: I try for a couple of days amongst fighting players to find wheels, but have no luck. One day I go back to see if the car is even there anymore, and someone had put on 4 tires, driven it to the local gas station, and died to a zombie. So yes, my car runs on the blood of noobs.

"Sorry you may have been a friend, you just weren't worth the risk"

This would be more incentive for banditry. Zombies are too hard to kill, so kill players instead. -
what's the best solution to stop server hopping?
John Grimmer replied to tarquinbb's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I agree with server-bound characters. It would also hinder alt-f4's because you wouldn't be able to just go onto a different server and heal yourself/relocate. -
I have matches, I have a jerry can.

Remove Wire Fences POLL
John Grimmer replied to okano666@hotmail.co.uk's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I like them because they make the game challenging, and I like to overcome challenges myself not cry for them to be removed. -
Name your good deed of the day.

While waiting for a friend to get his loot out of elektro, I was sitting on a hill. I turned to my left and about 20 meters away was a bandit sniper. He fired off a round and I seen "Andrew was killed", so I snuck up behind him and put a couple of rounds in his skull before he could kill any more new players. -
I've murdered 110 people, I'm still alive, and i'm coming for your beans...
John Grimmer replied to Xiroth's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
See, anyone can sit there and snipe noobs, which you are clearly doing to get 110 kills. Go kill real people, the same gear as you or better, and you will probably die after 5 kills lol. -
this game is turning into a death match because zombies are easy.
John Grimmer replied to A Zombie's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I hate people like you. The reason vvhy it is a "deathmatch" is because there is no reason to not kill a person, and every reason to. If I let an unarmed person go, he may later find a gun in that city, and shoot me. If I killed him, it costed me one bullet. If I'm lucky, he had some loot on him. Its human nature. Every person is just a selfish bastard, some people are just LYING selfish bastards. -
Worst Weapon In Dayz -Vote
John Grimmer replied to BuzzBurridge's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I agree with crowbar being the worst. Half the time, they just bug out and I can't even swing with them :/ -
I have been alive for 6 days, and havent seen a single player
John Grimmer replied to Kaffarov37's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The whole "nothing to lose" concept is bogus, if you kept running you have nothing to lose because that is your best chance of getting away. I normally shoot on site, or alternatively if they are too far away I'll hunt them down till I find them. The one single time I ran into someone, who claimed "Hey man don't shoot blah blah friendly blah blah", I thought "Well, he seen me first, so if he wanted to shoot me he could have at this range", I went with him for a bit checked some loot spawns, and then he shot me. Stupid move on my part, I know, I really should have just shot him, but it was a lesson re-learned. The only people I won't shoot are trusted medics. -
Aim down your sights, soldier!

Lee enfield damage reduction????
John Grimmer replied to SiGouin's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I kinda of like the dmg reduction in a way, because yesterday me and my friend had a shootout with 3 other people, and I lived in part because they only hit me once with a handgun, which had gimped damage ;) -
I heard it meant "day zero".

Ultimate Solution to Hackers
John Grimmer replied to Joe_Blow's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Okay, so now the hacker has not only killed a person, but now that person is banned as well, losing his tent, vehicle, etc. If I was a hacker, this would only please me more. -
Am I the only bandit who feels guilty when he kills someone?
John Grimmer replied to iGolden's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The only reason you feel guilty, is because you haven't been killed by these random encounters enough. Once you die enough times to people you thought may have been friendly, you stop caring because you recognize that you value the time you invested more than the time they invested. -
To the couple of people who have asked this, yes. I killed someone and took his m1911, and it still didn't one shot. Fighting swarms of military zombies with a nerfed gun l o l
-
If someone is armed, I will stalk them and kill them, or if they see me, they had better hope they hit me because I'll be going after them do or die mode. If someone is unarmed, I shoot them in the leg and leave them. If I'm feeling particularly generous, I'll throw smoke grenades near him.

The topic says it all. I was playing near Mogilevka, and it took 4 body shots to kill the zombies, and these were regular civilian zombies and I fought several, each taking 4 shots. Has anyone else noticed this or was it likely just a one time bug on that server? Moreover, I checked and my gun was, and still is, the m1911, not the m9, and not the makarov, etc.
