    Nerf Knocking Out

    Because bats swing in a path which never crosses the crosshair (as do most other melee weapons), it's hard to get "headshots" with it. With stabbing weapons and weapons which strike directly towards the crosshair you can get "headshots" with them by just aiming at the face, and fists KO players with 1-2 punches.

    Haven't tried slugs yet, how are they? (found tons of them before shotguns were added, now I've only come across pellets) As for buckshot, it seems to drop zombies at 50 yards but I've not yet tried it on a person.

    Melee Weapons

    Currently, "blunt" melee weapons like the pipe wrench, shovel, baseball bat, and crowbar all come off as almost useless when it comes down to it. They are outshined when it comes to damage by the splitting axe and fire axe by miles, and when compared to things like either of the bayonets, the kitchen knife, fire extinguisher, and fists they still fall completely flat. The current problem I have with melee weapons is the way the character swings them, they really aren't effective in any sort of combat. While the axes might not be as accurate, the massive damage they inflict more than compensates for it. But compare the blunt melee weapons to fists, it's extremely difficult to accurately hit with the mentioned weapons because of the fact the arc in which they swing never actually crosses the crosshair, rather you swing them at belly-level, while fists/bayonets/fire extinguisher all attack in a way that hits directly where the crosshair is aiming, making them deadly accurate and easy to score head hits with. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks medium-tier melee weapons being outmatched by a fire extinguisher and fists is a silly concept, at least I'd hope so. I'm not complaining about the damage of the blunt weapons, because when you DO hit the head of a zombie or player it does the job fine, but you have to aim miles above the head to actually swing at head level, when you aim at the head with the crosshair you're hitting the forearms, hips, and thighs most of the time. I guess the only thing I'm really trying to propose here is that the melee weapons actually swing in an arc which crosses the center of the screen at some point, they'd be a lot less useless and we'd see a lot less new spawns opting to immediately fistfight other players rather than look for their own gear, and it's a way better route than nerfing fists themselves in my opinion.

    Did you read anything? I'm not talking about that at ALL, I'm talking about the fact weapons don't swing at crosshair level, they swing far below it. Have you looked at the weapon swing in first person, ever?

    We all like to think of ourselves as super awesome alpha testers, but really 95% of the people on experimental just want to play with new content before it's actually available on stable, so yeah, if you have the new rifle you're probably going to get killed for it.

    Never heard of "tazer rounds" before, and they seem a little silly and farfetched (as do rubber bullets for handguns/rifles), but I'm all for 12GA beanbags and rubber slugs as long as we don't start finding them more often than standard 00 or rifled slugs.

    I don't think helmets are lame at all. Motorcycle helmets look badass, especially when combined with either of the sunglasses, not to mention the protection from being insta-KO'd by new spawns trying to box you is extremely useful.

    You said the Mosin uses 7.62x51, it actually uses 7.62x54r. I like the brown bear reference on the box though, thanks for showing that. Still a little confused as to why the bayonet is detatched and spawns separately, but I guess that's a minor complaint. Also, you can hopefully load the SKS manually in the inventory without using stripper clips (leaving stripper clips to serve the same purpose as the speedloader to the Python and the snap loaders to the IZH43). They all look the same except for the Albanian and Yugo, and work the same way minus the way you can screw around with the Yugo's gas system in order to launch grenades.

    IIRC, there's a way people dupe items by cloning themselves and killing the clone somehow, not sure of the exact details but I guess it involves screwing around with your connection or something. You might be encountering the clone of someone who's tried to dupe?

    Fire Extinguisher is the best melee other than the 2 axes, because like the fists you thrust it straight forward and it actually hits where the crosshair is pointing (unlike most melees). I also like the "trial" spamming in the background because he only has the trial version of Virtual Audio Cable.

    Semi-relevant, but I'd like to see a thigh holster for standard sidearms and knives as well.

    Haven't tried it, but if you punch someone in the face can you handcuff them while they're knocked down/getting back up?

    This. You're either going to get killed and lose your gear simultaneously or lose your gear then get killed. If you're going to lose your stuff, you might as well take one or two of whoever's robbing you out with you, you know, just for the sake of inconveniencing them or maybe pulling off that clutch escape. Lets be honest, with the current state of fists if they don't have a motorcycle helmet and you have even mild experience with DayZ you can probably juggle between punching 2 or 3 people in the face and repeatedly knocking them down.

    I noticed on the press vest there's a large square pouch on top of the 3 velcro pockets, might we be seeing things such as Hard and Soft Trauma Plates of different NIJ ratings in the future, for insert into things such as the Press Vest, Anti-stab Vest, Tactical Vest, Plate Carrier, etc.? It doesn't seem like such a stretch to see in-game and it'd make a lot of sense to find them in Police and Military locations.

    Soft trauma plates, yes, they should do nothing against rifle rounds and even pistol rounds should do blunt damage to the user but the trauma plates should stop the rounds from drawing blood. Hard trauma plates however, are a bit different; they should be rarer, only found in military loot areas, and maybe take up more space and possibly slow the character down, but because the impact is evenly distributed through the steel it can stop rifle and pistol rounds without causing damage to the user at all, I'd imagine a LIII could stop a 7.62x54r without difficulty, probably without bulging the back even. And yeah, it should definitely take up inventory space in the vest; but actual ballistics vests don't generally have pockets anyway, save for most of them having a slot to insert an additional trauma plate on top of the kevlar.

    Rather than equipping the bayonet and using it as a piercing weapon by itself, it'd be neat to combine a rag with it to make a sort of makeshift handle, turning it into a shank of sorts. I mean, it'd serve the exact same purpose but it's just a little odd to see the guys gripping the blade of the bayonet itself. I know spike bayonets aren't necessarily the sharpest, but I'm sure it'd be more comfortable with a grip.

    Indeed, it's silly that they have "Python" stamped on the barrel, understandably MANY companies have copied the designs of the Python, Detective, and a few others, but it's a bit silly to see so many Colt Pythons laying around (they certainly aren't a cheap firearm, and I imagine not so easy to obtain overseas). If they add another revolver anytime soon, I'd love to see either a 2-inch .38, SAA clone, or a standard .38 4-inch Service Revolver (S&W Model 10 or Colt New Police style).
