I'd say it's probably safe to say that the standalone won't be out until after the new year. The man went home to visit his family and I doubt he'll be going back to the office before the new year. It's been a long year I'm sure for the man, give him a well deserved break. 2013 will be here before you know it.

I think the real competition that dayz will have is this New Dawn: 2015 game...not war z.

As the title says - I'm putting together a group now in dayzmod that will be converting over to dayzgame whenever that happens next month. There is no clan name at the moment. A little bit about me. I'm 34 from Long Island, been gaming pretty much all of my life, led a few clans and been a part of many others in all sorts of different games and platforms. I played with a few random groups here on dayz but the hacking and cheating kinda of took me away from it. Anyways, I'm looking to round up a solid group of mature players to cause chaos with for now...when standalone comes along Id like to get into base building and playing for real. Being that I'm 34 I'm kind of on the older side here so I'm not really looking to partner up with people who are still in high school...so be over 18 please. Have a mic and have mumble as I will be setting up my own server in the next day or so. I also do web design for a living so expect a sweet site to come along when this gets rolling. I have the time to do this as I'm in front of the computer for many hours a day and with my experience I can put something together very formidable. Ive deemed the mod as a waste of my time, uninstalled arma 2 and such not because its bad...just waiting for this standalone.

He's average...sometimes below average.

His video editing and communication skills are excellent...he's just not a very good player. I've watched his stream and 8 times out of 10 when he loses a gunfight he blames it on stream sniping.

Dunno, the server I was on last night had no vehicles and people were complaining. And an admin came on the chat and said that vehicles werent in the map yet. WHat server you playing on? Id like to go there.

I played it yesterday for a while and I like it. However, no vehicles is a dealbreaker.

Cool update but too little too late for me - uninstalled it a long while ago. Waiting for the standalone.

lol, no - just speaking in hypothetical terms. if there were no police, no food, no running water....and other people were walking around with weapons likely to shoot me for my gear...I wouldnt be out looking for 'friends' other than the people I already know and trust. relax yourself.

This is a survival game - not a make friends with random strangers and hold hands game. If dayz ever happened in real life I would likely shoot on sight unless you're an able bodied female.

I was playing iracing at the time I found out about dayz so I left there....but i have since left dayz and am back at iracing. Actually just put a2 and oa back on my pc last night so I can try out this namalsk map.

I always play alone, tough finding a good, mature, consistently playing group. Played with a squad for a few weeks before the hackers came but I got bored of them and left. lol.
