Now I can agree with some people that the current state of the game is quite shit because a lot of features you'd expect to work arent working correctly. But yeah this is an Alpha. Tough personally I think shit like loot and zombies not spawning right should really not be broken at the release of an alpha, I mean come on. its just some code you have to change for them to work better. That shouldn't be a big deal for professional developers who know this engine like the back of their hand. But then again I know this community has been bitching for an public alpha release for ages so then again I think we shouldnt whine about bugs in the first place because i remember him mentioning a thousand times that he didnt want to release an alpha because it just felt to broken. Besides you can obviously see that this guy Dean Hall isnt trying to ripoff his customers. In the end I think we should just all calm our asses and wait for the beta. Now if that is still broken and horrible in late beta state then you can go apeshit all you want. PS. Arma 2 engine isnt the most efficient engine to work with, keep that in mind aswell. -

Sorry for bumping this thread but I keep getting an error doing this. Works with chernarus but as soon as I use the files required for Namalsk it keeps giving me an error This is the Error: 14:45:41 Database(0): [Warning] Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061), retrying in 1 seconds Not sure what im doing wrong here. It worked once just randomly but then I couldnt access anything with Navicat, saved it later. but never found out how that happend. -
So I ported DayZ to Podagorsk which I think fits perfectly for DayZ. As it has alot of Forest, Ponds, etc. Most of it is pretty much explained inside the video itself but i'll repeat it here: > Working Loot Spawns > Zombies Spawns Work (aswell as the zombies) > Vehicle Spawns Work > Refilling @ Water sources works > Loot spawns in some custom buildings (Not all) + (I didnt have to do anything for that to happen :D) > Alot of bugs! :D And not giving away the file because I dont think rocket would want that, so... I went to a server with 1 person in it at pitch black night. i had to use my NVGs or else i wouldnt be able to see my own gun and still i managed to get in a firefight -

Depends what your looking for. youll allways find the opposite. I prefer night time because zombies wont hear/see you that fast. Players wont either, and youll be able to see if theres a player somewhere because alot of players throw flares everywhere. No but, if you join a server around 1pm and play on a server in europe it will be day

Stuck at Loading after updating BattlEye

I was playing and kept getting kicked saying "BattlEye not updating". So I updated BattlEye. Now I keep getting kicked for "BattlEye not responding". And I keep getting stuck at loading now aswell. If i download one update below my ArmA will crash when i try to join a server. Anyone know what to do? -

There already is a Portable Generater Model in the DayZ files, so I think rocket is already working on it. Fully support your idea too, Apart from the car battery. Repairing a car is hard enough as it is. Unless you have a big team, still.

Fallujah or any other Island that uses the Takistan buildings would require all sorts of coding for the loot to work propperly, and no idea how to do that TBH. Besides Fallujah makes my framerate drop from 60 to -1200 excluding the zombies that would spawn :P -

1.1 Well its not really small, tough doesnt have alot of towns/cities but its not a bad island for DayZ 2. :facepalm: Edit: 1.2 Tough it would probably be to small for 40-60 people running around in one map, as you come across each other alot already in Chernarus -

Client Side. When I Tested this with my friend I had JSRS Sound mod on and he was running Vanilla (Apart from DayZ files) so its client side. -
Well, I do have a good feeling about this because this does mean you can motivate teamwork Like you have to do something is impossible to do alone, but with a friend or more it could work. this forces people to work together and stop deathmatching. Quick Edit: Tough on the otherside it would look more like an MMO then a Zombie Survival Game. Which people will be hating about. Personly i dont see any problems in this. Tough might change what DayZ is known for.
