  1. After a break of a week I decided to log onto Lingor for a bit of jungle action. I log in to find myself in the jungle to the eastern side of the Moto GP and even before I had time to check my gear two twelve year old hero toons run straight past me not 10 feet away, completely oblivious to the bush like object with the M14 sticking out of it. Now I know they were just kids because they were giggling away in direct chat as they broke into the open field. They pulled up and lay prone for a bit, rolling back and forth while deciding where they were going to go. Now I am old, I have no kids, I hate kids and If I was a parent I wouldn't let my child play this game until at least the age of 15 so I see it as my duty to put "squealers" down to deter them from playing. Needless to say those happy little tweeners are now in a shallow grave and they did Squeal. Well at least one did, the one that jumped up and decided to go to the GP not knowing he was about to run into me died instantly, but his buddy begged a little while pretending to be a log. I checked the bodies Hurriedly and found a revolver but nothing of great value. Before I had time to feel more than a little guilty that they were practically unarmed, shots rang out from the raceway so I about faced and bolted back to the GP just in time to wing a survivor before the server restarted without warning. Two minutes after logging back in I spy a survivor on the roof of the grandstand building possibly the guy I had winged and considered letting him go but as I scoped back out I saw the the smoke plume of a downed chopper. He died standing up with a forehead blood fountain. The server was filling back up fast so I sprinted up the hill and checked out the loots asap, there was a Bizon and 2 FAL. My character was 28 days old at the time and I was beginning to get frustrated at my inability to find NVG and an AS50 so I decided to set up camp and see if I couldn't bag myself some well geared quarry. I dropped my M14 and placed the other weapons on the low side of the wreck then positioned myself in the jungle tree line 400m down the hill and the Zeds quickly despawned. It had been quite a while since my DMR had been used and it felt good in my hands. Before I even had time to check distance with a marker I saw a survivor on the ridge but he disappeared just as fast without even seeming to notice the downed chopper. The Zeds took quite a while to disperse and I started to get the feeling that he was still up there, scouting the lay of the land, I crawled deeper under a bush and stayed dead still for the next fifteen minutes. The whole while a compadre of mine was working his way toward my position descending from Los Peligron with his trusty L85/AS50 weapons combo in hand. At around 600m out he spotted an incoming bandit then promptly lost him again. A minute later the Zeds started to spawn then old towel head himself came into view and skirted the area before breaking off over the ridge towards the ocean. I hadn't fired on him because I figured he would stop to loot giving me a static profile to bombard but now I doubted my decision. Maybe he had seen the average loot and just moved on, even worse maybe he had seen me and was moving around to flank. I crawled deeper under a bush and stayed dead still for the next fifteen minutes. My buddy moved into overwatch position to cover my flank while still being able to see most of the target area, he was still on the high side of the wreck and couldn't see the loot pile but I was feeling much safer with him there. Suddenly the bandit was back and making his way out from the lowest eastern cover, he would have been invisible to anyone at a high vantage point and indeed my partner could only see the Zeds as they fanned out. This guy knew what he was doing, he had taken time to scout, biding his time and moving to the best point of insertion before rushing out at full speed to get as close as possible before the zeds had time to spawn, crawling the final few meters before stopping to loot. My first shot went over his head by inches and as he spun toward me I put a round in his shoulder, he rolled left once before my final shot went between his eyes and my heart rate began to slow, but the Zeds didn't despawn. It now dawned on me that the survivor who had first come by had met up with the bandit and although still in the game had made the mistake of getting to close. Realising my predicament I quickly fell back into the forest before the infected converged on my position, further exposing me to the second foe. I crawled deeper under a new bush and stayed dead still for the next fifteen minutes. Finally the bandit asked in side chat who had killed him and could they please not bury him as he wanted to collect his fat loots. There is a good chance at this point that I would have broken cover looted and buried his body had I not known he had an accomplice waiting to end me. Instead I told him I was sure his friend would watch over his corpse and logged off as I had guests arriving for dinner. On my return to teamspeak I was informed that it took only a few minutes for them to notice my absence. Bandit number two had looted his mates body before heading up the hill only to try on a new 50cal hat.
  2. Suicide/respawn was removed because people exploited it to get a better spawn point and it lagged the hell out of servers. Can you not starve yourself?
  3. Find a tractor and push them all into the water for pirate fun times.

    Electric Vehicles

You could charge it at my zombie powered turbine I have been working on. Its a simple concept attach a bunch of zombies to a turbine with live babies spread between them to get them running (babies are lighter and therefore more efficient). Not really much different than what we do today for energy, both will kill our children.

Scrap 6 launcher because its crap and use commander?

    FN-FAL Night Vision for NVG

    Awful rifle, no ammo.......
  9. Posting this thread in 3 different sections of the forums is pretty desperate. The server is gone, your gear is gone, hush now child, no more tears, only dreams.
  10. I find a lone female player clam slamming some poor survivor in the woods, the downed survivor is not dead and she grabs him and rag dolls his limp body for luls before scoping up to shoot him in the head........According to the way of the Karma I Should ; (a) Shoot her for being an evil banshee take all her shiz and help the dude on the ground. (B) Applaud her lurid but comical behaviour sit down and watch the show. © Shoot the downed survivor in the head with an AS50 to save him more shame. (d) Turn on Fraps and do nothing. (e) Hold them both at gunpoint and make them have Milk and cookies till they work out their differences. Ok I guess the point I am making is that Dayz is far to random and complex to add yet another broken humanity system to it. Dayz is fantastic because it has no rules, if you don't like pvp its not the game for you.
  11. So I need some food desperately and I shoot a player in order to gain some, the dead player has no beans or anything I need for that matter so I don't loot him, would I be punished by your Karma system?
  12. Hoarders are funny :D all caught up with keeping their gear, reminds me of squirrels storing their nuts for the winter months. Maybe they could add a hibernation mechanic? So cute.
  13. I think that this has been requested many times and you didn't use the search option. I think that its not your own idea and you got it from "That other game" who in turn got the idea from this forum. I think I would never use it but cant really see the harm in it as long as the notes didn't cause lag issues.
  14. Mountain dew! There is your problem its cursed I tells ya.

    Bambi looking for a DMR

Theres no free milk and cookies in Dayz, you need to hit the sticks and start looking in deerstands, they still have a 0.19% drop rate, exactly the same a stary and only a little under the 0.23% of the baracks. Keep a keen eye out for camps while your at it, I would say 2 out of 3 DMR I have found have been sitting in tents.
  16. There are other options that should work but you don't deserve to know. With knowledge comes great Trolling.

    Your Best DayZ Jokes?

Survivor walks into a bar, godmode bartender teleports to him then drops him from the sky.
  18. SP45M

The goal in Dayz should be survive, not pvp

Pvp is good. Pvp against god mode scripters is bad. That is all.
  19. SP45M

    Starting with friends.

I think they may have run it late at night but the is the information age with internets and stuff who watches TV anymore :) Season one was great but season two just turned into "Dayz of our Zombie unlives" I don't think I will bother with season three after skipping through most of the first episode. Its a real shame too, the show has so much potential but lack of character development and locational diversity has left it wanting......I hope they all die.
  20. I haven't played all week because the mod in its current state fails to hold my attention, you can only gear up to lose everything scripters so many times before it gets old. Trying to reinvent myself but the forums are more fun at this point of time. Not a complaint just stating the truth as it stands..... Insert trolls here.......

    dayz college project

From my experience the less resource available the more cooperation displayed, especially if the vehicle count is high, side chat is active and admins are keeping hackers to a minimum. Private hive Takistan servers are a great example of this but they are rare as chicken lips now due to being boring as bat shit. Dayz is a great study in human nature but the variables are going to keep you guessing.
  22. SP45M

Why does Day Z take forever to load?

It does? Maybe get Mommy or Daddy to buy sweetems a better PC? Actually to be fair it does at times take over 5 mins at times on busy servers, especially some of the dodgy private hives.
  23. Im split 50/50 between friends who console and friends that pc.......the guys who console forever speak of wishing to pc game, never goes the other way :)
  24. SP45M

    Starting with friends.

A common request but its not going to happen. If your playing in a group your chances of finding a vehicle are greatly enhanced, when you have one it opens up an opportunity for some golden moments. Making things easier will never be the dayz way, having fun progressing in a fantastic sandbox whilst learning to navigate is the only way to roll.
  25. Good stuff m8 there's much fun to be had in dayz especially in the learning stages, you should hook yourself up with a good 3rd party map http://dayzdb.com/map and enjoy the ride. Keep it positive and the community will support you to the hilt. If you have any questions there's plenty of people here more than willing to help and the forum search engine is a goldmine of information.
