Open Arma2 go into your player options and select a new skin. It helps a lot when playing in a group, my whole squad plays with the Zombie/infected skin, not only do we recognise each other it also gives better camouflage.

6 launcher - No end of fail. Dayz Commander - No end of win.

Arma2 is a very CPU/GPU heavy game, even these recommended specs are only going to give you average gameplay quality. No, sorry but not even close.

Some kind of uniform or identifiable clothing would be great, has been suggested many times and I even think that I read that its a possibility for the standalone. I don't think your going to see your second suggestion though as the devs are madly ripping the advanced AI out of zombies to help streamline the game.

I have noticed that the UAZ has a tendancy to violently explode on the smallest contact with anything, especially vegetation that any other vehicle would just knock down. Im guessing its the devs little joke "hey lets give them a vehicle that goes really well off road but make it explode if it hits anything bigger than a blade of grass". I can think of four instances of recent where my UAZ exploded in a wtf moment.

Your just butt hurt because you suck at the game and in the above post you admit to shooting on site. I on the other hand having ten years playing on this engine and having the skill set that comes with age, can use my mic to open a dialogue with survivors and/or bandits. At this point its easy to disarm them if you have the drop then invite them to teamspeak, become friends and form an active squad. Yes you may get killed trying but its better than the "If you cant beat them, join them" attitude you have adopted.

Yes but I wouldn't expect better than average video settings.

Well for a start get rid of 6 launcher and install Dayz Commander. 6 launcher is full of fail.

A low act requiring no skill, you didn't think he was a hacker your just cheap. Now if you had of held him up and left him there with nothing, that would have been awesome.

Don't shoot animals with zombies close by is the obvious answer, its just part of the learning curve. Its a reasonable suggestion though.

Basic survival in dayz is no challenge why the hell would you want to play on your own?

Get over it and play on another server, nobody here can or will do anything about it.

Im no expert but I would expect huge lag issues with every person on the server having their footsteps mapped for 5 hours. Im not so sure about realism as well, I was out around town all day today and cant say I noticed a single footstep. Snow map yes, desert map yes, but on regular type maps it would only be on sand or around dams and rivers.

Even better ditch 6 launcher and use Commander.
