If your using a steam copy of the game you may have corrupted files, this happened to me on the recent beta patch update though steam. If this is the case then the updater wont be able to apply the mod and you will get an error like the one you posted, has happened to several clan buddies. Try verifying your game files through steam before using the updater. If not a steam copy then disregard my blurb and best of luck to you :)

You cant move bodies but you should always hide them when done be it players, zombies or animals corpses. They just sink a few feet into the ground. If you dont then your leaving a trail that others will follow or at least showing signs of activity in the area.

This happened to a clan buddy of mine for a couple of days, we got him to join a bunch of other servers to test if it was happening elsewhere and after that it seemed to fix itself. Im guessing there is some sort of bug that stops that server your on from updating your true status to the main database after you have a had a shock incident and being on another server long enough debugs it.

1. Never alt tab for anything more than a few seconds. 2. You never know who is going to run past with a zombie train. 3. If you disregard 1. you are going to die.

I've had fresh kills despawn on me while Im looting them and i've also been able to get back to my corpse well over an hour after death. I have looted my own corps after switching servers and then returning and also after multiple respawns to get closer. The whole despawning mechanic seems very erratic. If your gear was worth retrieving and you died to a glitch or a hacker (whole server got nuked the other night, took 45 mins to get back but retrieved all my gear) then theres a good chance you can get your gear back.

They need to be linked to separate steam accounts, just on the off chance you bought them and installed using the same account.

Never underestimate the good ole hatchet I have one squad m8 that seems to get killed by hatcheters all the time, hes forever giving away full sets of gear to fresh spawns, oh the lols at him in teamspeak. I hot hatcheted by a dude a few weeks back when I was trying to snipe somebody, if you hear gunshots and you have nothing much to lose, go kill yourself a sniper.

Make sure you have the latest version of the Arma2 beta patch, its been updated in the last few days so there is going to be plenty of sites still dishing out the older version. I have a steam copy of Arma2 so Im not really savy on manually updating the game.

The mod is in the middle of updating to a new patch. The server you are trying to join may still be the old version. Its also possible that although your installation is fresh it may be corrupt, especially if its the steam version. Quiet server, night time, big town, run run run. Full server, day, avoid big towns, sneak sneak sneak. Using a sliding scale between the two.

It will take them a while to update to the current version just give it time. Or, they have run out of funding again like last week :) feel free to donate to the anz servers and keep the dream alive.

Sounds like your Arma2 didnt update properly from steam as far as the "Kicked from game" goes, Right click on Arma2 in steam, go to properties and verify your files only takes 5 mins, then do the same for arrowhead. This should fix it, it did for me. Just to be sure though, open the 6 updater click on the mods tab, find dayz in the list, right click and verify/repair files in there as well. If that doesn't fix your woes I would suspect that you have a conflict from a 3rd party program like an antivirus or firewall.preventing the game from updating to the database.

Also never DC in a vehicle then reconnect, you will likely be under the vehicle and dead. I learned that the hard way :(

You could try helping somebody? Make friends that way? Personally I just go kill people and get bored as well. Currently Im about to park myself 100m off a deer stand with a stachel charge under it and a bear trap under the ladder. The old leg snap followed by vaporisation trick, many many lols. Anyway I was about to give you an invite to our clan teamspeak server when I noticed one of your posts saying your a 12yo, clan is 18+ only and my buds wouldnt be impressed. I hope you find some compadres soon.

Lol as we are both Aussies its not too far fetched to think it may have been the same encounter, as it was so dark Im not sure weather the other guy logged before or after I fired.

Approaching a deer stand in the middle of nowhere and the one other player on the server cuts in front and climbs up, middle of the night so he didn't see me. I fire, he logs, my play style changed for good.

Bahaha! So much fail, on a noob server and shooting from the hip. Use your gun sight people and shoot at the head, those who are dead cannot disconnect.

Don't get me wrong, I understand your frustration and sympathise with you but your going to have to come to terms with losing gear. Ill give you a few examples that you will run into if you play long enough. Crawl past tree, legs snap, dead. Walk up stairs, legs snap, dead. Tread on rocks sink into earth, not dead but stuck and have to respawn. Middle of the night suddenly turns to day, WTF nuked, dead. Warped to Cherno, fall from a hight legs break sniped by hacker,dead. Get out of vehicle legs snap, dead. Log out in vehicle (not recommended >.<) log back in later, under vehicle, legs snap, dead. Log out on a hill, log back in fall from 100m, dead. Patch comes out, wearing ghillie suit so server kills me off. Running along in the dark and suddenly all my gear disappears, possible hack but not sure, quick log out and back in before database updates character and gear back,whew. In fact now I think about it ive only died to other players 4 times and 2 of those were friendly fire. Gearing up is fun, the game becomes a little dull when you have everything.
