To the person who said america is a continent: Due to the context of the statements is is obvious that we are refering to the USA, also America is not a continent, South America is and so is North America so if your going to be an ass at-least be correct. you said this: You belong to a small minority of the global population, but your inflated ego extends across the fucking galaxy. This is 1: Randomly insulting someone for speaking about the US. 2: Where do you get any idea about his ego from? he just said in America they have lots of guns and wondered about in russia. Basically you are a troll. Oh and i am from the UK and i object to you badmouthing someone for no reason. ^ Some people suggested it, they decided that it would be an interesting idea so put it in the patch to see if it would work, from my perspective it hasn't worked and i would expect it will be modified in the future. I think that the combination of improving zombies senses and decreasing our ability to fight back makes it WAY to hard to sneak into a town and get a gun, one of these things could of been fine but both seems to much to me.

All i know is this, I was sitting in my house, playing CoD on my Xbox, there had been rumors of the infection, but who believes that crap? I remember it well.. I was about to do a 720 no scope snipe shot cross map when i heard REAL gunshots coming from down the street, i Quickly grabbed my first aid kit and beans (From my zombie survival kit (who doesn't have one?(be prepared and all that))) and ran outside expecting the worst (Cod 5 preview had started and i had missed it!!) I saw a crowd of about 70 people running towards me, naturally i was like...wtf, then a child in the back row tripped over, i watched in amazement as an old man (must of been at-least 60) ran up to her faster than any damn athlete i have ever seen and started eating her face.. then a horde of atleast 40 gold medal sprinters came round the corner moaning like there was no fucking tomorrow. A group of police stood firing into the crowd of runners, i ran over and as they were being overran i took a makarov and some clips off of a dead policeman, got in his car and drove off, I then (me not being a not so good driver) crashed into a tree and had to WALK all the way to the beach which was the arranged meeting spot some of my mates agreed, when they didn't turn up after a day i decided it was time to cure the infection, One bullet at a time.

^ Sounds intresting. Depending on the Ratio of weak:pro zombies you could plan a path through a town from a hill that avoids the strong zombies and try and only go near the weak ones.

I havnt got the new patch so i did not realize you spawned with a torch. Mybad.

You should be able to see a short/very short distance around you because PHYSICS.

There are loads of threads about this. and you will probably be shouted down by the 'Harcore' players. You know the one's who already have NVG's or enjoy staring at a pitch black screen when you are out of flares. But i agree. you can't even see your gun ffs.

Okay well this might be the wrong forum so sorry if it is. I see there is a new beta patch or something. I installed the manual files from the SE mirror for Day Z but i can only play on a few servers as all the others are on a different version. Also i am having problems connecting to the servers on my version. although this could be my computer being fail. Where do i get the most recent patch?

This is an alpha, Just because your a 'hardcore' player, AKA you went and got NVG's on a daytime server does not mean night times are good. Its not that dark in real life so it shouldnt be this dark on the game.
