    Weapon cleaning, maintenance.

My beans. You must have them.

    give zombies axes

    No.

    Suggestion: bullhorn

I really don't understand the use for this. We aren't in the crusades.

Read: Jerry Cans can be filled with water

Let us also carry a buffet table with a full international cuisine on it. 15 courses minimum. I am tired of beans. Amirite?

    The best suggestion ever

You have the privilege to test an alpha version of a mod. This is not a game. You are not a player. You are a tester. You have volunteered your services to help improve the alpha build. Bear traps are there to test their usefulness in the final version of the mod (not game). Tents and vehicles wiping or resetting moving are a glitch in the alpha version of the mod. Camo clothing is an item in the alpha build of the mod which may or may not be fixed, depending on what the modder wants you to test next. Duplicating things is the work of hackers. The modder is trying to get the basic mechanics of the alpha build of the mod down before he focuses on making it unhackable. Disconnecting or Desyncing is a bug in the alpha build of this mod. They will get to it when they get to it. Zombie aggro is adjusted and readjusted very often to see what is an optimal range. You know why? Because it is the alpha build of a mod. Stop whining about an incomplete mod that you didn't even pay for. You have the privilege to test a mod that has great potential and amazing atmosphere. If you don't like it, don't test. Get some frozen yogurt or something and calm the hell down you lunatic!

    Night Time, NVG's, and Power

You wouldn't make this post if you know how hard it is to come by NVGs.

What if everyone started with a tent?

This will get abused. What you start off with is perfectly fine for now. You are scavenging to survive. You shouldn't essentially spawn with a "house."

    Notes on a paper

Very cool idea. Or carve messages in trees for players for ambiance. Or warning signs for players approaching an area controlled by an organized team. How about the ability to scrawl something in blood. You get 15 seconds to type out the message after your blood level reaches 0. All messages reset on server restart.

    ZealD's new Inventory System

I understand where you are coming from, but for a few simple reasons I don't agree. 1. The system is not counter-intuitive. Intuitive implies you are used to a certain (arguably unrealistic) standards in video games of how to manage your inventory. Arma II realistically separates your backpack from your "pockets". 2. The system is actually quite intuitive, once you get used to it. Like all brilliant video games, it is a system that is easy to use initially, but takes a bit of practice to master. If new players had mastered the system before even logging into the game because we made it so "intuitive", it would take the fun out of the learning curve. My first few deaths in DayZ were because I couldn't get that item out of my backpack. Now I am a master of it. 3. Different slots also don't make sense, except for the toolbelt. It creates tension in the game. Should I take the extra ammo, or one more blood bag? Should I take three morphines, or swap one out for a can of sardines? Should I take the soda, even though I have an (empty) water bottle, or should I pick up the M107 ammo, in case I find the rifle? Should I have two bandages and 6 secondary ammo, or 3 bandages and 5 secondary ammo? These decisions lie at the core of DayZ. Your suggestion completely destroys the system, because it is almost as if you are maniacally picking up everything just to keep shoving it into your inventory to have a look at later. 4. 48 slots at the start? How about an AS50, NVGs and a cloaking device too?
  10. Bandit mentality: kill everythingon sight, because they might have that tool or food, or item I really need. This just incentivizes the anti-socials and bandits, it doesn't help cooperative play. Sure survivors may band closer, but bandits will have a much more serious reason to kill and loot you.

    Some feature ideas requesting feedback

This is a terrible idea. You are placing the onus of Alt+F4ing or ghosting on the victims of this practice, rather than penalizing people that engage in this practice. If implemented, it means I have to effectively carry a radio tower everywhere and have it operations, thus making me a more visible target, and for what? So the ghosters can spawn automatically outside its radius and crawl in for the kill anyway? Just implement the 30 second logout rule. It solves pretty much everything. Finally, speaking from a realism standpoint, how is this "realistic"?
  12. You didn't pay for DayZ it's free. You are not playing a game, it is a alpha version of a mod.
  13. Thanks. Nom nom. BTW your food meter is red. It is the weakest weapon in the game. Sure the damage matches some sidearms, but you have to practically hug the Zed to apply it. Never use it, unless it means the difference between life and death! And then get ready for imminent death! Took some time, but I was also tired of having to click a link for each weapon. You are most welcome, I am glad it is helping people out! A clanmate also confirmed this. Will update shortly.
  14. You are right in that single = semi-auto. I stand corrected, and I apologize. But you did not provide any counter argument for the Reddit thread that lists two modes for the two said weapons. You say you are cycling through and see no additional modes. I will test both weapons in game now, and if that is correct, update the chart. Thanks for the input.
  15. I will update it if I get more confirmations.
  16. Three things. First, Point # 5 at the bottom of the chart explicitly states: "S=Single, B=Burst (or what you call semi), and FA=Full Auto". S does not equal Semi. If you cared to read the whole thing, it would be evident. Second,The Mk 48 Mod 0 is listed as FA, as in Full Auto. I don't know why you provided the link for that. Once again, maybe you didn't read the chart correctly. Third, The M240 and M249 SAW are listed as S and FA (Single and Full Auto). The links you provide are one source of information. Again, if you cared to read Point #1, you would know I use two additional sources, DayZWiki and a Reddit thread. The DayZWiki lists their firing modes as "unknown". However, the Reddit thread lists both Single and Full-Auto modes. It has also been confirmed to me in-game that you can fire both weapons in single, carefully controlled shots. So again, please point out to me how this information is "wrong". Unless you want to admit that you are trolling a helpful topic for no other reason than the fact that you have nothing better to do? :)
  17. It is loud as fuck! The only guns actually louder and the AS50 and the M107.
  18. Perhaps if you could pinpoint the fault? Looks accurate to me.
  19. I believe most headshots are one-shot kills.
  20. Thanks for the feedback and good point. it is listed under sniper rifles, and what SR do you know without a scope, but this is oversight on my part and I will fix it.
  21. Post has been updated with some changes to ensure the information is accurate and easy to understand as possible. AK family also fixed.
  22. That is my mistake. Thank you for pointing it out. There is no burst mode for the AK family. It is likely a copy-paste error, as you can see I have put in a lot of time into putting this together.
  23. I should have been clearer. S=Single, B=Burst (or what you call Semi), FA=Full Auto. :)
  24. In the post and in the image I mention where I got my information from. The three sources seem to agree in this.
