    More exciting than the patch notes that we already have are the easter egg patch items that we don't hear about but get to find. :D I'm always excited for patches because I notice everything.

    This patch keeps getting better and better. Any ETA? Also, looks like a new Arma2 Beta Patch came out recently. http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ Patches everywhere!!! I love it. Each week is like playing a new game. If I wasn't getting paid too much to write database documentation I'd go be a game tester.

    Oh boy it's 12:54AM here and I just finished up some much-needed work. I expected that we might see the patch out by now. :P I'm itchin' to get my hands on it and use as much of my upload bandwidth as possible to torrent it. Oh well... off to bed! Looking forward to the patch later today (hopefully).

    Exactly. Don't make them easier or harder. Make them more complex and realistic within the context of a zombie survival scenario. You can keep the difficulty the same, eliminate the annoyance, and make zombie combat more interesting. I suggest the following: -Slower Zombies -More Zombies -More shots to the body required to kill

    Indeed. I think we'll get there. It will just take a while. Personally I'd like to see 5% of zombies that can catch running players and force them to defend themselves. 75% walkers and slow joggers. 10% hoppers and 10% crawlers. On top of all that. Head shots need to always be 1 shot kills. Body shots should take MUCH more than they do now. So there's the tradeoff that works best I think. Very few speedy zombies. Mostly slow zombies, and make headshots/shotguns more critical.
  8. I don't really believe that bandits exist anymore. We're all just survivors, and sometimes we step on each others toes. However, history is written by the victors. Here is our story. A clan full of bandits raided our camp and killed a bunch of us. We were lucky enough to track them back to their main camp. A few nights later, we got our revenge. We found one of them driving a truck (we recognized the name), and after they logged out we stole it and headed straight for their camp. Watch it in 1080p! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wE7eNEK-6k

    It's supposed to come out "monday". If they need to take longer to squash the bugs that they created when they overhauled everything to improve efficiency, then maybe it will be tomorrow. It's only 9:00PM in Prague right now, and Rocket likes to release updates later in the evening. He's probably got the bug spray out right now. I hope he has a gas mask.

    Melee Weapon Petition

    Melee weapons do need to be added at some point. Even just fists. This doesn't mean the game needs to be easier, it just needs to have more options for defense. Of course, Arma 2 isn't exactly an optimal game for melee. We'll get it eventually I'm sure.
  15. I don't get why people don't want to make this game more difficult. It's not making the game impossible or extremely hard. It's inconveniencing us a bit for fun. It is fun to place yourself under harsh conditions and inconvenient situations.
  16. I mostly agree with the OP, but not when it comes to connectivity or crashes. Nobody should die from bullshit. People should die because other players mercilessly hunted them down and killed them. Now that you can actually escape zombies, there should be no reason to log off to dodge them. Now that we might have a way to detect bandits again, there should be no reason to log off at the first sign of trouble. I think this also applies to server hopping. As it is right now, I server hop all over just to get good gear. I figure a fix for disconnects would likely curb that problem as well.
  17. YES Worth a try right? Not as bad as the bandit skins were, but still useful to survivors.

    Really, REALLY bad FPS now

    You're right. The FPS is low for me on some servers as well. Thankfully my primary server does not have this issue just like the last time FPS problems popped up.
