I've been playing since May, and it's be a great experience. I'm very happy with the time I've spent here, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back. EDIT: Movie removed, it served its purpose. I've had to quit this game several times because it was too addictive and I was playing too much, but this is the moment that I raged. This was my 6th ATV that I've lost to random invisible bumps. Sometimes they're in the middle of the road, sometimes they're on bridges, sometimes they're in open fields. I had driven slowly and carefully over 3 other bridges before this happened. I know the AMRA 2 engine made this game possible and all, but seriously... fuck the ARMA 2 engine. I won't be buying Arma 3. I'm not excited for it anymore. I will be playing WarZ, and I'll probably be back when DayZ is stand-alone. Thanks for the memories.

I had hardly any problems with ATVs before. Sure a truck would have been preferable, but I was on the east coast and they weren't available.

Same here. I quit because I fixed up 6 ATVs and all of them flipped randomly. Sometimes in the middle of a field like the OP said happened to his ATV. Time to switch to "The WarZ" until dayz standalone comes out.

Yea many months ago I died going at high speed on an ATV over bridges. I learned to slow down. It's been working fine for months, but... not this time. The lesson to learn for those who would follow in my footsteps is... never drive ATVs anywhere. I even encountered a random bump out in an open field. No rocks, no fences, nothing.

Yes... please stay off the consoles. Nobody wants to play a game with their thumbs unless it's a fighting or sports game.

Back in my day, every server available was full because we had only about 300 of them worldwide and thousands of people playing. Now It's hard to find a full server at all. Most servers have under 5 players. It's kinda lonely. I'm not a PKer, I just miss the thrill of being able to die at any moment. It's not even scary to go to Cherno anymore. :( We need fewer servers! :D

I haven't played for a while due to heavy work demand, but now things have lightened up and I can start playing again. So here's how my 7:00PM to 5:00AM play experience went. Was it fun? Well... somehow yes. Was it as good as it should have been? Well... Kept spawning on the beach randomly (this makes me rage). I got shot by a bandit, got the death screen, logged out, logged back in, and I was alive? I guess I shouldn't complain. I found a van on a server filled with stuff, but the I button didn't come up to show me what sever I was on. Couldn't log back in to it again. Never did find it. Finally gathered some parts to fix ATVs with. Put them in a tent while gathering. Bam... tents gone. Also my bike is gone on that same server. The last time this happened to me was in 1.4. Seriously... didn't we fix this shit already? Oh well... Alpha is Alpha.

It's been perfectly clear to me for a long time. You've mentioned the minecraft model for months now, and I prefer that model myself. Some people have cotton in their ears.

Funny... I play as a black guy and I don't get shot by players as often. My team mates don't mistake me for somebody else. ;)

No... don't give weapons at spawn. Flashlight is enough. The number of beach murders has dropped significantly. This game is too easy already. Finding a gun is not all that hard.

I'm not so concerned about the patch itself anymore. I uninstalled Arma 2 so that I could get some extra work done this weekend. Mission accomplished. I really just want to know if Rocket is ok. I'm beginning to worry. Usually he'd update us and say "sorry... pushing the patch back a week to work on _____" but we're not hearing anything. I don't think people are complaining about no patch as much as they are complaining about no communication. People hate it when bigger developers fail to communicate with them, the same thing is here. If Rocket isn't communicating, then something serious might have gone down. He's usually very connected with us. Nobody was bitching (well... not as much as right now) during E3 when we knew why he was away. Not knowing is just unsettling for many people.

It's coming out last Monday. Or maybe today? I'm beginning to wonder if Rocket is alright. Did something happen IRL? We haven't heard from him since the 27th. Is he ok?

Oh god... I have to uninstall the game again because it's consuming my life once more. I have a bunch of work to do this weekend. Not healthy. Time to switch back to just reading about Planetside 2 and letting that be the full extend of my gaming experience for the time being.

Exploits are a grey area. Is it all cheating? Yes. Does it matter since we are in Alpha? No. Eventually this game will become one big persistent world where your character is bound to a big server. Why isn't it that way now? Because nobody wants to lose their progress when a server goes down or shuts down permanently. Quit bitching about the exploits. We've got bigger fish to fry, and Rocket is well aware of what needs to happen to make this game less exploitable. We're in Alpha. But yea you're right. It's cheating. It will be fixed, some day.

Please please please fix my car. I don't know what's wrong with it and the guy said the spark plugs need changing. Hope this is fixed in the next patch. Kthnx.
