Or just remove the silly zeroing and implement MOA/Mil rad adjustements, even with rangefinders you'll still need to know the ballistics of the ammo you're using. Also, add different ammo (regular fmj, armor piercing, etc) that has different ballistic properties.

I think it's a good idea, but the whole system needs to be revamped in my opinion.

It's the same as the SVD, the ak-47 (AKM) uses 7.62x39 rounds. I agree with the nagant being ingame, especially the scoped ones could be fun. -

Edit: Someone is on it, I'll update with a praise and a halleluja when it's done. :) 2xEdit: DK Kaylin and KeksCoKG came to my rescue, unfortunatly some guys found me first and they killed me. :/ Right now they're helping me restock some gear so I don't have to start all over. It would be a nice addition and even if you can't kill the zombies with one hit, you could just break their legs and crouch run away.

I used 150 grain vs 150 grain standard loads. Sure the .303 is slightly bigger (7,7mm vs 7.62mm), but it's nothing that has an impact. So you have two bullets that weigh the same, one is slightly bigger, but the other is slightly faster (860m/s vs 844 m/s) which doesn't do any real difference either. It's the same with the 180grain bullet, the .308 is slightly faster again. All in all, the .308 does more damage. As for semi vs bolt; I get about 865m/s in my M1 Garand with some factory ammo I had lying around, my friend gets 866m/s with the same rounds in his Tikka T3 (50 rounds in the box, we shot 25 each, both velocities being averages over the 25 rounds). That's about 0.12% difference which isn't worth mentioning or debating imho.

The velocities will be nearly identical, as the reload mechanics don't kick in untill after the bullet leaves the barrel. The inaccuracy comes from the extra gun movement since the bullet is quite affected by the gasses as it leaves the barrel. (when the gun moves the flow of the gas is directed sideways/up/down and that disturbs the bullets flight.) The .303 has a velocity of 844 m/s (2,770 ft/s) with a 150grain bullet, the .308 has a velocity of 2,820 ft/s (860 m/s) with the same bullet. Ofc you can put more powder in the ,303 and get more speed behind it, I just pulled the avg speeds with the avg loads. It's so identical that you won't notice the difference.

.308 is slightly more powerfull than .303 british (on standard loads), but nothing you'd notice IRL. As for bolt action being 10-30% more powerfull... I've never heard of any semiauto that used 30% of the energy to reload or even 10%.

The Brits did make some silenced .45acp Enfields. I doubt they made more than a few hundred (if even that many), but it could be a nice gun to implement. Very accurate, very short ranged with quite a bit of bullet drop and relatively low firing speed.

I agree, ideally it could just update everytime you log in/out (for bragging purpose) or after you confirm the kill on the body. -
Also the sound that you get when you walk slowly backwards when crouched, it sounds like a 5 year old running.

Boltaction bullpup 50 cal's then? Better accuracy than semiauto, small mags, slow rate of fire and slow reload. -
I wouldn't mind some highpower bolt action rifles, maybe some .300 wm/wsm, .338 lapua, .375 H&H and that sort, as well as some low power ones .22 LR, .22WMR and stuff like that.
