Sounds like a plan. I'm having a few errors trying to get on one or two of those servers (Steamapp ones) I played Koth last night and had a ball as I missed that bit of interaction with decent guns and PvP. Sounds like your having fun.
-
Wow, deadly. Is persistence not an issue on that server?
-
Hey whats the build anywhere mod?
-
I've read te arguments. I understand people are annoyed that the game they love isnt what it should be, I get it. I've played this game and variations of it for the last 7 years so I'm well past the giving out stage. I wonder If there are any like minded individuals out here that could offer some advice for playing this version of it. Dos and donts If you will. My advice would be to always be on the move and doing stuff and figuring stuff out, even if it breaks or gets you killed. Give your self a mission to do each time you log on. Thats it, simple. Anything else I can be doing?
-
wow Now thats hardcore. Cant you get your own server and mod it any way you want?
-
@cirkular thanks dude. I usually now just run North pretty much straight away and dont bother with any of those sites. I'll certainly check them out. Going to play on the winter server tonight. I'm finding myself being a bit of a dick and server hopping alot looking for gear but ultimately it ends in failure as Ive been killed by players or zombros every time. I think server hopping has always been an issue with Day Z. Also, I think I'm playing first person from now on.

totally are back dude. I couldnt believe it and still cant. I know them game is glitched but it always was. Once you get that 'feeling' you know youre hooked.

To @Mookie (original) and @TheYetiBum you are the type of players i was hoping to attract. Thank you for the words of wisdom. I am looking at the launcher tonight. @Parazightnail on the head mate. Even my crew tend to faf about a bit until I get them going looking for a new mission. Its all about imagination and I can see why some might suffer. Thanks all

Love this guy, only found him the other day. Mod looks cool. Hopefully kill a few of you in it soon.
-
lol It seems I have to take risks then. Damn it then, I will. I want that load out.
-
The lads made them last night. Looked like fucking ejits running around with plastic bottles on their guns. I want a silenced M4 with a scope. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?
-
Sage advice Pilgrim, thank you. I need silenced guns though. Surely i have to go to military for those? or do you only find silienced stuff at heli crash sites?
-
lol I've read that, very good.
-
I would say dump the tent and get a few barrels. Seems a better option.
-
Its a problem for sure. The even bigger issue being persistence though. How long is your camp up?

Fair play to you fixing cars. You have obviously put some time into the game so far. -

Well its been a while since we played this game. We join a server every year or so to see what its like. Considering the clan I run with now are the original clan I met in Cherno back in 2012, it would seem rude not to dive in every now and again and test the latest version. Its been a bad few years I have to say. Watching a game that you thought was literally going to revolutionize gaming fall into utter disrepute was, well, kinda heart breaking. I thought much of the criticism was valid too. Slow development and over emphasize on stupid stuff, too much to bring up again here. We thought it was dead and gone.. So we did that annual jump on to a server back in December and we are pleasantly surprised. The balance in the game seems to be the best its ever been. You can now move more than 100 meters without dying of thirst. The zombies are a bit scary again, they actually give me the shits If more than one gets startled and I have to run like the wind to escape. The base building, which we are currently trying to do looks solid enough though there are persistence problems but the Devs seem to have the resources to address that in 2019. I like the fact that there are only a few guns worth having in game, anyone else feeling that? I know they plan to bring in more and choppers this year but PLEASE, keep an eye on the balance. Choppers ruined Arma Wasteland for me. If they can keep the balance right this game will rock again. The biggest thing I've noticed is the new layout up the North. Most of that wasnt there in Vanilla so its great exploring it afresh. Building out base up there and all trying to get silenced weapons is proving to be a great experience for all of us again. that's just my thoughts, the Pros are out weighing the Cons for all of us not with standing the issues that are there but the positives are winning.
