I think the people saying "this isn't CoD are being arrogant", however I don't think this would be a particularly good idea, especially when playing in a squad it would mean giving the position of the killer to your whole quad way too easy as soon as you're shot. Or if you kill someone you can guarantee the rest of their quad will have an immediate fix on your position so for that reason, I'm out,

Huge, huge fan of the DayZ mod. Excited for every update and happy to watch the mod become continually successful. Keep up the great work, Rocket.

I can confirm this, been playing DayZ for a few weeks now, ever since 1.7.2 as far as I can tell Zombies are agroing randomly from far out, sometimes just the individual even if there are others closer which don't become agroed.
