Date,Time: 21:00-21:30 30th July Server LU252 Hacker: Sketty Incident: Spawned vehicles, teleported to vehicles and players, killed players Evidence,,,, I found the evidence in the web console was 110% sure it was him,,, he was banned and someone verified that the hacker had left. Once I go through logs I will Post anymore evidence I find Simply Google "Sketty DayZ" also and you will find other posts about him I have banned him,,, more evidence to come

What is the vehicle spawn numbers per server right now, and what is seperate from what? Done a lot of searching on google, wiki and here with no actual answer

try this,,,,,, place your tent but not on a slope or hill or in a tree, this will cause your tent to possibly lose items or all items save tent after you place it without any items in it do not put items in it until after a server restart always save your tent every time you interact with it if you pitch a tent and unpitch it, after a restart that tent will reappear but will not hold items after a restart this method of placing, saving and waiting for restart before using has been working for us after many failed previous tents

six launcher is now updating to 1.7.2.4 whats the eta? and apparently we need another beta patch newer than 95312?

This happens to me like 5 or 6 times a week, I spawn in wilderness with no gear, yes I know I can join another server or canada 2, but I still lose my days played (it resets) and canada 2 apparently ppl camp the debug forest so I never use it. I simply join another server and spawn back ta the beach with all my gear, but the walking back to camp is so annoying On the other hand I have a few friends who have never had the wilderness glitch and they have been playing longer and more often than me. There must be a proper fix for this yes Im upto date, I read somewhere its the way that OA is launching but the link was broken Anyone got any ideas,,, 5 or 6 times a week is getting really depressing

No I think there is a way to prevent it happening,,, it was fixed in a previous patch, a few of my friends have never had it and play the game very often. I found a thread that says its because of the way OA is launching but the link was broke to the fix...

Ryan yes if the admin was in game he may of been teleported also but he still can not do anything but abort from the game, if that was successful and he never got killed he would then have a few choices none of which are instant. He could restart the server which the hacker/s could then just rejoin and continue doing what he/she was doing. They could then go through server logs to look for any evidence as to who the hacker was, even after doing this they probably would not find anything to be able to tell who it was. Dayz server logs are very big, for example if you sit and watch the server console in a server that has 20 plus players on it, its almost unreadable it goes by so quick. Admins really can not do anything right now. My example was, hackers joined my server, they teleported all vehicles to one location off the map and killed any player unlucky enough to be in any of those vehicles. 1. When this happened none of our group was in a vehcle 2. We never knew at the exact time that hackers were to blame 3. We did notice one of our vehicles was missing and another we were fixing had dissapeared 4. The way dayz is right now with vehciles and tents dissapearing we could not say 100 percent it must have been hackers or that maybe someone else had drove off in the vehicles 5. The only way we confirmed it was hackers is that another player on our server reported what happened on our own forums 6. After going through all the logs we were unable to find any evidence to who the hackers were. Even if the admin was also teleported, if it is a server with no name tags, they still could not actually do anything ie ban a player Server admins can only actually ban people for 2 reasons 1. Racism and 2. Malicious talk Banning hackers is a whole different story, if the server say had name tags and the admin or another player had recorded what happened and managed to capture the hacker then I guess the admin could ban and post the evidence in the cheat reporting topic If admins just start banning players with no evidence they could risk having the server blacklisted, thats the way I see it If the server has no crosshairs/name tags then the only real way to get evidence is through server logs but as I said right now its unlikley to find any incriminating evidence there.

pretend you are the admin of a server,,,, pretend you do not have any special abilities to combat hackers,,,,, pretend you spend hours going through logs for scripts or evidence,,,,,, pretend you find nothing incriminating,,,,,,pretend someone then goes on a rant about the admins of said server being shitty,,,, pretend you actually know what your talking about before bashing some admin who is probably trying his/her best to provide you a server to play on that can not actually do anything about hackers as of right now in dayz's development,,,,,, pretend this is the same for every dayz server right now admins do not have special powers, nor can they supervise all players or be expected to go through logs 24/7, Im sure they probably tried to find out who the hacker was, we have had to do this on our server without finding anything incriminating so what else do you expect the server admin to do? you realize that this is not minecraft or some other game that can be supervised and action taken very quickly? you realize that dayz is still in aplha? you realize that every server right now is open to hackers doing what they like? you realize that it is currently very hard to find any evidence in the server logs, and as of right now almost impossible? you realize you probably owe these admins an apology for your childish/misinformed rant? Deal with the risk of hackers or dont play dayz, everyone is in the same boat right now

The only problem i have have since getting the server is 1. The server I ordered was suppose to be hosted in the UK, you set it up in luxembourg and I later was told by casey on your ts that you had no brittish spaces available 2. The server was set up sharing an instance id with another server which casey fixed for me 3. It would have been nice for some communication regarding having no uk spaces available before you actually just decided to base it in luxembourg 4. Yes I would like it switched to a uk server at some point but my only concern is a) that would mean a new instance id right? B) we would lose any stuff we have done already c) you guys seem so busy that even this would probably take a while to happen, and as with problem 2 above it would not be set up right or with any care. If it means a fresh start then fair enough, I ordered a UK location so you really shouldnt be setting up server in other countries with no warnings to the paying customer, more care should also be given when setting up these new servers so that they dont end up sharing instance id's with other servers. Apart from that then all is good so far

Thanks for reporting this Adinise I also reported it here http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/43162-lu252-vehciles-teleported-off-map-and-players-killed/ The actually never teleported everyone, they teleported all vehicles and the unlucky people inside vehicles at the time

* LU252 (my server) * Between 13:00- 15:00 GMT * Hackers teleported all vehciles off the map and killed any players unlucky enough to be in one of those vehicles. My groups vehicles dissappeared luckily no one was in any of them at the time, other players who I do not know reported this also on our forums, they also said players in the vehicles were killed by this person/people after they teleported all the vechles to them/off the map.
