You should use a custom modfolder for this mod. It alter the original @taviana and @taviana_objects modfolders when installed through dayzcommander. Rename it to something like @taviana_dayzcom or something else than the original modfolder name please.

How did you install DayZ, did you use sixupdater or manual install? If dayZ still run after you reinstalled the game, you haven't deleted the arma folder properly. -

Make sure you run Teamspeak with administrator privileges. -
This is just sad... Seems like most of your victims are afk or totally unaware of your presence and you sneak up and shoot them in the back.

What are you talking about? Of course you can. Just manually add a new preset in Six Updater called e.g. 'DayZ'. It should contain two files - DayZ and beta None of the CBA versions or jayArma2lib are needed CBA and beta is not the same. Beta are a patch for the arma2OA engine that BIS releases to fix bugs (Or sometimes implement new ones :p) This is how it should look in SU: [attachment=17] -

The last days I have met some people that wiggle they upper body by tapping Q and E keys as a sign of no hostility. Thats a clear visual que that is easy to perform. -
Aircrafts passing over the map once in a while would be a nice ambient effect. Make an Hercules spawn once a day dropping supply crates randomly around Chernarus. Maybe containg better food that gives a little more blood back than beans and pasta, and some medical supplies. Attach flares to crates for night drops :)

I really don't see the difference between getting shot by a sniper in the head from 1000 yards, shot in the back from 10 yards with an AK or getting blown up by a mine. They are all equally unfair. You are dead either way. Maybe traps can be limited to a 50 meter radius around the player tents, with no possibility to defuse. Then players have to take a gamble if they want to steal from it, and mines want be a problem all over the map. -
How to see player names ingame?

I never said that they should bring it back did I? Many arma mods have solutions where you can see the names of players that are very close to you. Like Project Reality you can use left alt key when next to someone to show their nick for a few seconds. I thought they maybe had done something similar when they removed the spacebar scan. In real life you can easily tell people apart and put a name to their face. In games we need some sort of name tag to keep track. -

Is there a way to see the number of a slots in a backpack before you equip it or do just have to try it on? -
Now that the spacebar command is removed, how can I tell the names of players that are in my vicinity? It's very chaotic not to now who is who in a group of people.
