Considering you cant hit shit with the m1911 after 20 meters unless you get lucky, I dont think it would be remotely possible to even attach any kind of optics except for a differnt kind of iron sights. I dont think they make optics such as red dots for the m1911, even so you wont find anyone carrying a sidearm with a red dot sight otherwise you wont be able to put your sidearm into a hoster. The only attachment I think would ever be used for sidearms in dayz standalone would be the suppressor, and that seems resonable.

6-8 shots to kill someone with a 9mm is bullshit. Also the m1911 & revolver are .45 acps yet it only do 1300 damage? How could you say guns are already powerful enough when it takes more than 1 magazine to kill someone with these guns?

Why not remove the glitchy dead guys until the standalone?

Not all of this "beams" glitch comes from the dead soldier models. And not all dead soldier models create the beams glitch. Remoing just the models wont stop the glitch completely. -

If you take out the command, you wont be able to respawn, people will now be able to server jump as much as they want without a death penalty. -
Rocket said he might add some sort of spawn grouping thing. So pretty much you make a party with your friends and you all spawn togeather. But being able to spawn on your friend is bullshit. Say you're raiding someone's camp. You snipe everyone except 1 guy, before you manage to locate him the rest of his teamates have spawned on him, grabbed a few guns and are now shooting back at you.. Great fucking idea you have, I'm sure the rest of the community would love this. This is not Battlefield, and learn to use the search funtion. "your" ideas have already been posted countless times.

I see where you're coming from. If you enable waypoints then the compass and GPS are usless.

Any form of explosives, or running it over with a vehicle will destroy it. I dont think you can do it with bikes. But i know for a fact it cannot be done with a helicopter. -
Weapon degrading? No. Cleaning weapons so they dont jam? Yes. Hounestly, I dont feel the need for this. It would take ALOT of rounds to reduce durability. When I bought my first handgun, I wanted atleast 1,000 rounds before malfunctioning. So far I've fired 500. Still accurate, no jams ect. Also, a high quality barrel is good for 50,000 rounds before significant loss of accuracy. Another thing to take not is that an average spring life is 5,000 to 15,000 rounds according to varying manufacturer. And this is only pistols im talking about, so obviously with assault rifles they would be alot more durable. Take note that not all weapons are the same, some fire different bullets, have longer and shorter barrels, some are more durable than others, and something like this would be very hard for the Devs because they would have to do the stats for each individual weapon. EDIT: It is also highly unlikely that you would fire up to 1,000 rounds with the same weapon in 1 life. You'll most likely die from attracking attention by shooting your weapon everywhere than dying from a weapon jam. And theres no way you can find that much ammo. What you could add with weapon durablity or jamming, is overheating. If you fire too many rounds and forget to let your barrel cool down then it could do damage to your weapon. But it would only apply to LMG's because theres no way you could find that much ammo to fire all at once. Even if you could theres no situation where you'd jam your assault rifle from overheating. Lastly, its highly unlikely that it would ever happen anyway since any idiot knows that you always set your weapon to semi.

Doesnt seem very practical, i think the arma3 gear inventory is the way to go -
But the map needs to be WAY bigger, 2-3 times bigger than chernarus. Then we can think about what helicopters to add. Hounestly, I dont feel the need for another helicopter, but maybe the current one with different variations such as camo. There are camoflaged versions of the current heli in game, maybe rocket could think about adding that instead of another heli. But in the end its up to him anyway. +1

Took us 5 hours trying to find car parts for the ural in skalka, took us about the same with the helicopter in skalisty to fully repair it. An additional few hours trying to refuel it. Not to mention many other vehicles spawn in the middle of nowhere and take hours to fully repair and refuel. And after all that hard work, we loose the vehicles in a week or so. It will never happen, ever.

I wouldent want anything too overpowered, just some kind of way to keep players on their toes. Ofcourse in the end its all up to Rocket and the Devs. Thanks for your feedback :) -

It could reduce PvP, for those people who want more of a survival mod instead of a PvP. -
If the army was still there I think they would rescuing you instead of dropping nukes. Also you've arrived after the aftermath, the infection is over but those who are zombies will forever be so. If there was a chance that there was someone out there to save you, they have already been turned into zombies. I do not think it is fair that people would have to spend hours trying to repair vehicles e.g ural near skalka and the helicopter in skalisty and then only to find that they will loose it within a week or so. Its not hard to find camps of vehicles, you just have to know where to go, I've found 5 vehicles just be guessing where people would put their camps. Also alot of vehicles arnt very well camoflaged so you can spot alot of them from a distance. Its not fair on everyone els, just because you cant find any cars doesnt meen that EVERYONE should loose their vehicles every week or so. In case you didnt know, there are many car spawns, you will not always find a car even though you visit the spawn point. Another thing is that there a new spawn points, some that are not yet listed on the dayz wiki. They are most likely there, you're just no looking hard enough. No one would play DayZ.

I dont see how this relates to this thread, but since you mentioned it. I do not agree on a class selection, I do not think someone should have an advantage over another simply because they have a perk or are a specific class that enables them to have more backpack space or being able to carry more medical equipment. Ofcourse everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and this subject is debatable.
