clearly never heard of admin hacks and server control hacks then have you sunshine...... more often than not i see hackers posing as admin in a bid to stir up trouble, no admin would spend lots of money on a server and then publicly announce that they are hacking or abusing their power.... this sort of thing is a stab in the back for the people that take he time and effort to provide servers for others to play on, and although your frustration is recognized you need to understand that no admin, well at least a non [xtg] admin would stoop to this kind of douchebagggery. i have had the same thing so im not trying to silence your voice here. i am just saying that more often than not its a hacker not who you think it is or blame.. peace

how fucked are you lol, if me and mine banned people from our servers for this there would go about 60% of our player base.... with the massive amount of hackers on there are countless amounts of tents loaded to the hilt with weapons and tools and clothes that aren't in the game. also that people have on other forums discovered that if they can get their hands on soldier clothing (not gillie actual solider with a helmet) they can appear invisible to hackers esp at least some of the time, means that there are tonnes of people looting that item from tents also in an attempt to remain safe from wallhacks and rightly so too, if the devs took those out there would be tonnes of people suddenly visible to hackers again. no thanks, i know i have soldier clothes on, found em in a tent, been able to sneak up on allot of people i know were wallhacking since. if anything they should replace the glitchy gillies with these.

unless rocket and the team are going to adopt an entirely new engine and try and find one that is affordable and can be ported over (there are none) and handle the big world (there are none) and handle the persistence (there are none) i doubt that a stand alone would be any different. best bet is for arma 3 and its engine to come to the rescue at least make the hackers re-learn a few things before they go nuts on us.

not true i spend the majority of my time between NWAF, Stary Sobor, NEAF and Berezino and i dont even have 5 bandit kills yet i have 114 kills, 2 bandit kills, most people i shoot are fully kitted tho, which is good for my ammo supply and my tents (i have three) are overflowing :) most people i attack are groups, tend to have more loot than loners, for some reason loners travel light. and well when you wait and 5 idiots spawn in in the center of the tents at stary its not hard to run in and drop them all in quick succession with an m4sd on full. rofl, that or snipe em with my svd camo........

whats with people having an issue with camping? if the GAME was not meant to have camping, it would not have tents lol, but seriously there is nothing in the readme for the game or the official guidelines to not do and there would be game mechanics to stop it. get over it stop being an irrational butthurt sad act.

what server are you on?

was on a server the other day, wished i knew what one, (joined a random one) was up near misty point and found clan members of the said server building a camp, they were instantly spawning in vehicles and weapons and tents, i took shots at them and they kicked me for hacking....... very very lame and pathetic of them, i sure hope i find the server again, if i do i shall report it

hmmm over 120 frames at all times for me, i dont understand people with shit pc's expecting good frames, you wouldn't buy a knock off brand of like an xbox or playstation and expect them to perform the same as the real thing, people pay like 1000 bucks at least for a console (when they are new/released) and upwards of 150 for console controllers and anywhere up to 150 bucks per game... so it begs the question why anyone would attempt to play a pc game that requires allot of power on an either old pc and or a cheap shitty one (one meant for e-mails and accounting software only). i mean for less than 2000 bucks you can have all new gen components and peripherals and most if not all of it would be high end equipment delivering top performance. the sad truth about games is that unless the mentality of having the bare minimum to run things is dropped the games will no longer get any better or escape the restrictions they are bound to. i mean for example, battlefield 3 was supposed to be a direct-x 10+ game with none of the drawbacks and shit from the old runtime but because consoles and so many other people playing on shit machines wanted the luxury of the game without actually getting off their asses and equipping themselves for it the game got simplified beyond recognition. now it might aswell be cod running on an engine more than 10 years old. graphics and so on are never going to improve at this rate, all the current mindset does is destroy the future of a pastime we all enjoy. so to all those out there, if you want to see good games get real and buy decent gear, if console kiddies can manage to muster up the cash when a new one comes out then im sure you can get it together to upgrade a few pc parts from time to time.

Now to everyone else, it needs to be understood that communities are the only thing that keeps a game alive, There are a huge amount of Server Owners out there that are unhappy about the constraints that are placed upon them. They are constantly having to justify themselves and validate reasons for banning even the most blatant hackers all because they dont have 20 tb of video of their gameplay to prove that they didnt do or say or act a certain way to people on their server.... this coupled with the fact that the entire game is floating on self provided servers paid for by individuals and or clans, it is getting (with the constant growth of the game) a bit steep to say that people that pay for a good reliable server that they want to run legitimately and keep free of hacks and other nuisances, cant make room for at least those paying for it. there is certainly no concerns in my mind of the server becoming "empty" if admins can do this as there are nothing but full servers everywhere i look (unless the admin of that server hasnt updated to the latest patches etc and well frankly thats their fault). So the previous reason i noticed, that an empty server puts as much strain on a chock full one, is really a null and void statement at this point. Also like all other games people who dont pay for a server know that they are subject to fitting in where they can. To turn around at this point and say that its unfair is a bit unjust, it never bothered them before...... All in all it cannot be ignored that there is a large and growing amount of clans purchasing servers and a large growing player base and a large amount of server owners wishing to be able to fit into at least the server they purchased. It is a legitimate concern and for people like Zedsdeadbaby to act the way they do tells me they either need a new hobby or need to stfu and get a server of their own. eventually server admins are going to get sick of hackers and so forth and they are going to need to kick people regardless so getting a good ruleset that works FOR EVERYONE should be a priority. The fear of reprisal is a joke on here to. someone gets banned for being an obvious hack (flying around in a chinook for example, then witnessed spawning an apache, or running around invisible or teleporting) next thing you see them on here claiming innocence and the server admin is made to prove THEMSELVES innocent? what is with this? guilty till proven innocent? really? thats what this has come to? now if admins could remove people from their servers this wouldnt be an issue. But given the current ruleset all you are doing is enabling cheating and exploiting.

second paragraph takes it all into context, you don't play in a clan, you don't pay for a server therefore you have no validity. clans members already pay a considerable amount in fact as a whole they ALL pay for the server... so charging more for a reserved slot is idiotic, the problem with this community is freeloaders. Free loaders want to ride on the back of everyone else who is doing the right thing and purchasing space to play on, then turning around and having a gigantic bitch fit when server admins and potential server owners (more hosts for you to enjoy freeloading off of) want the ability to allow the very people who are actually paying for the servers to access them when they wish. the way i see it is that people who have this mentality that server admins shouldn't be allowed to make room should quite simply go purchase themselves a server and allow everyone to play on it and then the clan servers can operate as they wish. There is also this mentality that server admins would kick everyone but their clan out and horde weapons etc etc etc, well for starters the admins cannot be on 24/7 everyone has to eat shit sleep, and further more that isn't whats being asked for. Clan members paying good money towards a server and in some cases multiple servers have a RIGHT to what they have purchased. If you bought a limousine service for the night and it cost you (as they do) considerably more than say a taxi across town, then a bunch of random strangers gets in it and takes off leaving you besides the road on the footpath with no way for you to meet up with your friends and go to the event you chose, even though you and your friends had already paid for the service... how would that make you feel? would you wait till the random people came back after your allotted time to do the activity you wanted to do was over? or would you want to kick the randoms out of YOUR limousine at least to make enough room for you and your friends so that you can get to the place you were all headed? to say that people don't have a right to what THEY pay for is to say you don't have a problem with fraud, theft, Larceny etc. and im sure if someone committed that sort of offense to you, you would be out for at least a refund.
