lol ok sheep. continue following the pack and using your money for someone elses benefit lol. my clan is 80+ people strong so why the hell would i want a server that cant accomodate them? why would i want a server that none of them can get on? if this game is ever going to have an end product whether it be standalone or with arma 3 they are going to HAVE to let people run their servers the way they want. simple as that.

or just stop being ridiculous, yes the dayz team are allowing access to the hive but the server the players are playing on belong to the people who in most cases OWN them, so its the persons own hardware, thats like me buying a car and having rocket tell me where i am to drive it and that if i dont drive it where he says he is going to mark it in a derogatory way. The only valid reason to make demands seems to be a demand issue something that is very easily dealt with by having more cash. so hence my suggestion.

It makes little or no sense for them to claim to not have the resources but then to deny the very thing they need to continue the project. and they need much much more... read the forums once in a while its plagued with server issues and it all comes down to a lack of overall servers and bandwidth things that can easily be remedied by a few out of the half a million people playing handing over a few dollars for the sake of getting the material resources that they need no one is demanding that they make the game a certain way after they pay. no one is buying the company or making offers to buy the shares it would just be for the benefit of everyone, the only thing that needs to change is the attitude towards server owners and what they can/cannot do, it is ridiculous saying to the people who OWN the servers their game is hosted on that they cannot make room for them and theirs. thats literally all they want is that right....... nothing more..... so next time mate read the post.

hmm i see a re-occurring theme here, there is constant talk about it being a constant strain on the servers etc..... now i can understand this, However, you as far as i am told are not accepting donations that would greatly advance what you would be able to afford as far as servers and bandwidth are concerned and its at the cost of those forking out already to support your project..... just seems ridiculously backward to me, i mean, there are people offering donations not wanting to buy shares, they aren't going to tell you how to make the game and what you have been doing aside from the way servers are managed has been fine. i just don't see the sense in telling people what they can/cant do with their servers when there are multitudes of people offing to lessen the financial burden attributed to the correct operation of verification/log in/hive servers. i mean all other fps games have servers that do/dont do well, the bad ones will weed themselves out. and with donations/contributions im sure you will be able to afford the appropriate measures to make it all work.

yeah same thing happened to me, there were 9 of us sniping into elektro on this particular day, the elektro mall must have had a sale on cos it was like a bonanza of targets to take out and pillage, we had 3 guys purely keeping watch on the hill with thermals three guys keeping watch down the hill and 3 sniping one of the snipers being myself, FKN LOVE m107!!!, anyhow, after we had killed maybe our 25th target a guy appeared out of nowhere fully kitted between us all and was taken out swiftly by one of the spotters, his body immediately disappeared and seconds later he returned, same thing, then less than 2 minutes later this happened at least 5 times and he was FULLY kitted each time, so yunno, fkn hackers.

Ok so i am having a hard time understanding why so many people want measures to punish bandits...... i see no justification for their attitude and feel that they are simple butthurt and need to get over it, anyone knows that in a world like this going to a once heavily populated place would be an incredibly high risk, zombies, bandits animals and disease and injury would all hinder you in such an environment, i worked long and hard to get myself self sufficient in game and find my way to the random heli crashes and so on to gear up to take on the elements and players and zombies. i will quite frequently camp cherno and wait for retards to stop to loot things then insert a 50. cal shot into their behind. i will then wait creep down and take the medical supplies they took from the hospital and head back out on my way again. its survival of the fittest, anyone who cries about campers in COD, Battlefield or any other game need forget all that shit when they play DayZ none of us "bandits" are going to change our habits, you simply need to adapt to the environment.

thats retarded man, many times i have given overwatch for my friends when they have needed blood and shit from cherno and elektro, there have been unidentified bogies in town so i have shot them from like 800-1200 meters away and like i have any idea whether or not they are kitted out, im certainly not going to wait for them to kill my friends before i shoot, your suggestion like so many others is void pointless and retarded sorry.

can someone please list some reasons why ANYONE would host for this game? only reason i would want a server is so i have a low ping server to play on, given that i cant kick to make room for myself or clan why the hell would i or anyone else bother?

There is no realistic way to do that, any attempt would just compromise the game, the realism and fact that people can hunt and be hunted and shit scared 24/7 is what makes this game.... if u want a team based zombie game that doesnt make you scared play killing floor or left4dead. this isn't about any of that console gamer shit, get the point people.

i think you need to stop and realise that its more of an observation of humans in general rather than a problem with the game. most people shoot on sight because if you were in a post apocalyptic scenario especially something as horrific as war and well a zombie apocalypse. punishing people for doing something that essentially comes natural to HUMANS is pathetic, unrealistic, and plain wussy.
