I have to say though with their decreased hearing it is much easier to lose them (If you're in a good spot) after you've gained their attention. Zed from 50m sees me at night, walk around a bush and move around it and go prone again when he comes around the corner. I continue in prone until hes facing the other way. I find it easier than before, their hearing beforehand was just insane; being able to identify you as a foe and zero in on your location from the other side of the building.

I like the crowbar idea, I personally think it makes it even harder due to how weak it is and gives the temptation of trying to kill a zombie and well. having to use a bandage that early on is always a bitch. Also I'm curious, you wanted this to be fun. I find it very challenging, which is why it is fun for me. What did you expect? mowing down the streets of cherno in a attack helicopter after 5 minutes of gameplay? -
This, I'm actually a very efficient crossbow user. Shame the bolts don't stack though.

That is the most stupid thing I've ever heard. Without suggestions, games wouldn't go anywhere. Why would I accept something if we believe that improvement is possible (even if you're likely to be completely wrong)

Alrighty, I'd like to start by saying that DayZ is one of the most immersive survival games I've ever played. However I made the mistake of watching the most viewed youtube videos instead of the recent. Didn't matter much at first, I was too busy slaying zombies at 3000 blood with a blinking thirst bar in hope of a soda can. But time wore on, I got better, I got geared and well I'll let you guys do the talking...here are some posts from another topic by IDnuc, from this morning. http://dayzmod.com/f...thmatch-player/ "This really does feel like arma 2 deathmatch edition with zombie obstacles to me.... Personally I feel zombies are fine at the moment, given how big Chernarus is, Arma II is doing it's best to put a good number in. But they are a different issue. Ever since DayZ starting items were nerfed, the need to survive actually kicked in, but trust also plummeted with that. Mind you I did not get a chance to play a game with the pre-nerf starting gear, I feel like I've missed a golden age or something. Anyway, my idea. For any of you who played runescape (that's your queue to laugh at me) There was the skull that hovered above a players head if they had recently attacked another player, if you died whilst the skull debuff was active, you would lose all your items (well not anymore, as games are now made to hold your hand every step of the way it seems) unless you were using a pray- STOP LAUGHING. Don't worry, i'm not suggesting that the debuff should be a giveaway for other players, it is only seen by yourself; If you have committed no murder in the current life of your survivor; you will keep 3 of your best items when you die (Whether you get to choose the items or automatically chosen for you, irrelevant unless this idea is explored) if you have committed a murder recently; you will lose all of your items when you die. if you have committed a murder, but is not recent (the time in which this mini-debuff fades also irrelevant at this point); you will keep one item. ...Thoughts?

You got me there on both counts, but perhaps Rocket may change his mind in the future, or I just like talking about it (Which is probably why I'm not playing atm) I realized the 3 item spawn was a bad idea and I think I withdraw that idea in a post on the first page. But for the last few sentences on your first paragraph, I can co op, kill/be killed or countless other possibilities. I'm not disagreeing with the countless possibilities, it is Arma II after all. but would you say that the chance of those possibilities have been decreased with what I would say, unnatural paranoia, even for one such as DayZ. Did I say to remove bandits? I am a bandit. -

Hell no, its just my opinion on the current status of the game, not his vision. and PvP is not a bad thing. It is his game, do what he will, nothing more I post in this thread is just an opinion and unrefined ideas which I wouldn't count as suggestions in the slightest.
