Not a problem for me to wait a little longer. I was hoping to get it on April (don´t ask me why, I just made my calculations and thought it was going to be released around that time). The only thing I would like to say is: Rocket, please be careful in Everest, we want you back in one piece!! And don´t forget to get enough Heatpacks for the trip!

The rarity of NV i think its ok. I´ve found my first "legit ones" some days ago, and I´ve been playing for months too. Adding the rare batteries in barracks should work for making them even rarer. Rarity of those items will help a lot to get people into play on night servers. I agree that not seeing your own hands at night its a bit extreme. In regards of the ammo (finding mags and bullets separatedly), I think its a great idea. Did I read somewhere that is being adressed or just my imagination?

I really like your post. Nice ideas that sum up my thoughts on nights in DayZ. I would like to see exactly what you say, more flares/chems/camp fires... (even torches, that you can make to light up different locations in a town and left them there). It would add something interesting to night plays, and not only wait for a NV guy to kill you when he decides its time to do it.

I usually just lurk the forums, but i will say my opinion on this topic, related to the respawn discusion. Respawning far from your friends, loosing all your gear... is a royal pain in the ass. But thats what make my heart rush when we are in combat, knowing that a mistake will tear me appart from my squad. I think is one of the things that make Dayz so unique, and should not be removed. Most of my squad can get anywhere when they die without a map or a compass on Chernarus (I´m not btw, I´m very bad at orientation) in no time, and claim again their loot (wich is usefull, but a bit uninmersive). Making it easier is not a good option. Squad spawnpoint belongs to BF and COD type of games IMHO.

Thanks a lot for your answer! That maybe in fact be the problem. He has an Arma II no-CD version before (yes, a pirated one), wich he got to try Dayz in some no-CD servers. After that, as i said, I convinced him to buy Arma II CO in Steam (12,49 euros for 2 great games, plus a lot of mods to play is a really good deal, even with the standalone almost in the hands of the first testers). Im starting to think that something maybe wrong in his registry. He is formatting his PC today, and reinstall everything and see if that works. If not, I´ll contact BattleEye as you suggest. I´ll tell you if something works, so more people can resolve their issues. Thanks a lot. EDIT: The weird thing is, Arma II works fine on multiplayer and single player. But OA only works in single player and servers without BE.

Hello there. A friend of mine is having the same issue, using Windows 7 (not Linux). He can get in servers without BE activated, but can´t in the ones with it. I feel a bit guilty, because I conviced him to buy the game, and now this... Arma II works just fine, and even the OA single player missions work fine. But when it comes to multiplayer in OA, it crashes and freezes the whole PC (needing then a manual reboot). Same thing happens to DayZ. Help much appreciated.

As soon as my mates killed him, he disconnected, so he was server hopping for sure doing this same stuff in one after another.

Happened to me today, 1 hour ago. It was someone called Bandit600. He took control over me, and my character ended up running over a friend, who luckily didnt die. I disconnected, and the hacker still had control over me. When my mates got him, it said "... killed Bandit 600 (friendly fire), but the body showed that it was my character. When I logged back, I appeared at the spot where the bandit was killed, but with all my gear, so there was a body of duped gear just in front of me, with no flies sound around it. Anyone with same situation or that can confirm this is a known script? I´ve seen some posts about it, but idk if its well known. Thanks

I don´t like the idea because I don´t smoke. Why would a cigarrette do any good to me? Giving cigarrettes a good income should have a counterpart too. You will run slower, because your lungs are taking damage. You will need em more and more. I know people nowadays that smoke 20-24 cigarrettes a day. And I don´t want ciggarretes replacing any good beans in Chernarus supermarkets ;D

Never used a code, never used a guide to finish an adventure game. That was NOT FUN. That made the game trash, because no work needed on it, no brain use. Just like sitting there and watch another person play. Pretty fun huh?. And i don´t give a fuck about the CEO of a company that sells cheats, living thanks to the people who actually DEVELOPS a game and make our experiences great. I see that your brain is unable to understand that those companies are not good to anyone. I don´t know why I use my time responding to you. You are clearly an idiot, sir. I´m playing Fallujah atm, and I like it so much. Thats a big city, but i agree sometimes I miss the forests, so I would like to see Cherno and another city of Chernarus that big, plus all the rest of the map that already exists. Then you can adapt your playstyle, and the "city" in wich you are won´t be so easy to snipe (you won´t see all the city like it happens now).

Every single time since I play DayZ. And I look at buildings that look like the lootable ones in Chernarus and tell my GF "Look, there are some food and bandages over there for sure" or "That´s a really good loot spot". Ah, and when I´m in a wood area or rural area, I look for good sniping spots, and check out if there is any sniper there. I think i have to stop playing this game for a bit...

My opinion about Europe (western area, I´m form Spain). Getting a gun here will be hard as shit. Special licence for any weapon. The police have MP5s and not much more (GEOs, special ops here, will have some assault rifles but nothing special). As everyone says, ther will be more weaponry in military areas. For what I know from some friends in the army, MG 3 are common to give support, we have our own assault rifle (CETME) and the common weaponry used by EU troops. The thing people doesn´t seem to think is the military will have taken those weapons to fight the zombies back. So maybe lots of military areas will be totally empty. Even if there are still weapons, ammo will be used or taken away to the front IMHO.

Really smooth play. Not a single hack in 2 hours (wich for me, is a record). Lots of action all across the map (saw a car chase between a scooby doo van and a UAZ, a plane crash, and lots of gunfire at airport. I hope to get to know the community and have some good games with you all. Thanks for the server Machoman, and for the hard work it implies being an admin.

I saw something similar at Skalysty island. 12 Ghillie guys standing there. Same equipment all of them. Same name, just like dead but standing. One day it happened to me something like that. After losing connection to server, I rejoin, and there is a clon of myself standing just where i spawn. I use the old white bearded guy, but the clone was younger, the standard face of DayZ. All equipment was there, and I couldn´t use "hide body" command. Maybe it was me from the past, warning me of something...

I try to grab 1 weapon (it doesnt matter if primary or secondary), and a map. 2 drinks and 2 cans of food, and I leave the coast inmediately. Tons of other places to go a lot safer than the coast. Edit: Totally agreed with Berezino, but does it count like coast in the poll? The industrial area is by the coast, but the actual city is along a hill.
