Dude, you can fucking respawn if you have a broken leg. That was put in just for that reason. Stop being a crybaby.
  4. You've been in Day Z so long and yet dont' know about hackers? Or maybe you just missed and you're butthurt. I'll go with the second one. HAHAHAHAA.
  5. HHahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHAHAHAHAHahahahahHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *BREATH* HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Owned.

Is everyone in DayZ like this?

What would you have Rocket do? Consequences for murdering isn't very realistic now is it? There is no David Caruso here to determine if you were killed out of self defence or whatever. No computer algorythm can determine that, only a jury of your peers and that is astoundingly impractical in an FPS video game. Putting punishments out on people who kill someone else opens an entirely new can of worms. Griefers will find ways around whatever system is in place and ultimately it will punish the innocent. It isn't sensible for anyone but a very large team of people to let anyone they don't know near them. Even a duo team could be shot in the back the moment they let their guard down. The risk is too great to let anyone near them. Now, I think people who actively chase people down are just dickweeds (check out any of the twitch.tv streamers, they're total bandit jackasses.) but I also defend their playstyle and think that adding a system that punishes them for this is downright wrong. An example to give, someone was really low on health and looked unarmed, asked for a blood bag. The guy gave it to him and the guy told him that he will then leave because he doesn't trust strangers. After blood bagging, he got up and went to leave and the guy pulled an axe and broke his legs, then teabagged him for 5 minutes as he bled out. Too much risk to be nice in an apocalypse.
  7. I doubt they were hacking. A hacker could also just make themselves invulnerable, and if they really wanted to could just teleport your buddies into the air and let the chopper crash. Or teleport one of their buddies into the pilot seat after instakilling you. They probably just had a chopper and you're mad you couldn't have it all to yourself.
  8. The OP here is so full of rage. Sweeping assumtions that 'oh the majority of snipers are assholes but people running through cherno/elektro are just innocent friendlies who'd never shoot anyone' lawl...

    Thunderdome'd?

Really? Why are there people who think this is actually a good thing?

    Player Model Customization?

Another "THIS GAME SHOULD BE MORE LIKE CALL OF DUTY ZOMG" thread. Nothing to see here. Also on customizaiton I doubt it'll be coming before standalone, and then who knows?

As long as I didn't hack it in right?

Where is your proof of this? Holy shit, people will say anything to sound smart when in fact they're dumber than nails.

As long as I didn't hack it in right?

Hollllyyy shit this guy is dense. Why use a hacked weapon? Why even DEBATE this here? Why fucking risk it at all? Hacking ruins this game, don't use hacked shit.
  13. I love how the OP somehow assumes he is with the majority by saying 'Why more and more people don't enjoy Day Z'. What proof do you have that 'more and more people' hate Day Z? This game is getting MORE popular, not less. Fucking carebears.

    Welcome to Thunderdome?

Yeah, this just occured on Chicago 870. A warning to anyone in the Thunderdome, it's a hacked area inside NWAF and probably has the hacker and his buddies there ready to kill everyone. There is NO shame in alt-F4ing in those situations. Fuck hackers. I had a bus and everything lol.
  15. Yup, same shit just happened to me on Chicago 870. Thunderdome teleport. Just found a bus too.
  16. Dunno about these crazies but the military offroader can spawn occasionally there so it's worth it checking it out :P but don't go there without some friends... just sayin.

    We need a purpose.

Missions aren't going to stop people from killing 'for the lulz'. That's basically the only thing to do when your character gets super stacked. Thing is, a noob with a Lee Enfield could still one-shot you (barring the latest round of damage changes) with your M104 and AWS thermals and shiz. Just the other day a super stacked ghilie user chased me down with a silenced M9, and I with only my axe killed him, but unfortunately I bled out at the same time lol and I think he got a better spawn than me to get his stuff back. BUT STILL.
  18. Jachim

    Help?

Yes your character is lost forever. Probably a hacker.

IF this was an actual game...

A kickstarter will get you buttloads of money, Rocket. I'd chip in a kickstarter. If not, I would also buy the game minecraft-style with alpha/beta access etc. Not sure on studio designing the game, personally if you assemble a team yourself it's probably better IMHO. The biggest issue is avoiding investors who want to have you stick to video game industry norms. Kickstarter allows you to keep away from that, crowd source this shit!

    No Servers appearing on list

    Gamespy is probably down again.
  21. Hiya, just logged in an hour or two ago and was rummaging through Cherno when suddenly I was kicked from the game. Figured it was some power hungr admin, I decided to log into another server and got some weird error about my install location needing something. I forgot what exactly it said, but I decided to close down and relaunch Six Updater to see if maybe something got bugged out. It came clean and I loaded another server and got another error about unable ot access a file in my install directory. Took me about 30 minutes, but finally it let me into a server, and I'm instantly kicked off again. What's the deal? Is there a way to find out WHY I'm being kicked off all the time?

    Kicked from game

Check my thread. Sounds like Steam just broke Day Z until Battleeye/Day Z is updated after an Arma 2 patch just came out.
  23. Check Vsync status, might be some screen tearing.
  24. Jachim

You were kicked from the game.

Yeah, reinstalling sounds like a plan. Darn it, I was having fun just got myself a compass and a map too before being kicked.
  25. Jachim

You were kicked from the game.

Sounds to me like Six Updater and BattleEye haven't been updated for the newest Arma 2 CO/OA patch yet. These companies really need to get their act together, there are 3 patches they need to follow.. Arma 2, the beta patch, AND Day Z.. ANNND Battleye on top of that. -.-
