Good to see they are finally letting inmates access the internet now Mr. Manson. (If you don't get it go ask your parents to explain it)
-
Don't think that's it, I played on 1.7.2.5 for a while with no problem then suddenly it went bad. Unless it has to do with the server version in use?
-
Come on, give them a break. It's not like they stand a chance with the living is it?
-
You clearly gave at least one fuck because you started a thread.
-
DO you think the OP would commit suicide if the game glitched in his favour? you have to take the good with the bad.

Smokeless powder is the name given to a number of propellants used in firearms and artillery which produce negligible smoke when fired, unlike the older gunpowder (black powder) which they replaced. The basis of the term smokeless is that the combustion products are mainly gaseous, compared to around 55% solid products (mostly potassium carbonate, potassium sulfate, and potassium sulfide) for black powder.[1] Despite its name, smokeless powder is not completely smoke-free http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smokeless_powder I rest my case.

Does sniping need a nerf?
schrapple replied to Slickback (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Not sure if this is possible but adding the affect of wind would sort the men from the boys on this one. Judging and allowing for how the wind will affect the path a round is the hardest thing when shooting rifles at long ranges, then to top it off wind can drop off or gust during flight so a perfectly aimed shoot with the correct allowances made for wind may still miss anyway. -
Oh no, did your exploitation of holes in the program nearly fail. My heart goes out to you.
-
Military rounds are what's know as "smokeless", a single shot won't really produce any visible smoke but a weapon firing at a high rate on auto will put out a small trail.
-
Did you try your hardest to miss the point of my post or do you just posses a natural talent for it?
-
Gregory peck isn't fit to lick this guys boots. But seriously we need to draw the line somewhere before the game becomes "Rambo Vs the helpless zombie hordes" and I think flying the latest high grade military aircraft is over that line.

[qu Now, I'm far from one of these "realism" nuts. I understand that a game is a compromise, an interpretation of real life, realistically the best you can hope for is a convincing approximation of the real world. But I don't feel the following question is out of order " How on earth does a random person who has washed up from a ship wreck know how to fly all this shit?"
-
I know, it's a pretty far out there idea that a game based on survival against a pack of zombies doesn't include the latest military hardware. After all how is anything less than an automatic military weapon any sort of match for the bite of an undead human?
-
Yer ,this guy is right. The day he was no longer a noob was officially the day that it became cool to needlessly kill new players who don't know what they are doing yet right? Death and bulk frustration to anyone with less experience than the OP.
-
That doesn't matter, they are the same 90% who's attention span is shorter than their noses. They will mindless wander off anyway when the next CoD is released.
-
Why does everyone want to turn the day-z mod back into amra 2, If you want military weapons and to kill other players go play arma 2. Next two weapons, compound bow and a pitchfork.
-
Same problem here, for no reason a couple of days ago my FPS crashed. No updates or driver changes or any of that. I have a 2700K and a GTX560 ti so it should handle it no worries.
-
Yer, lets add every character from every cheesey horror/action movie that the 12 year old boy of this world thinks is cool, it's bound to be a big success.

Please, please please please - Make available for mac users if possible?
schrapple replied to STE0113's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
A mod that was created by one man in his spare time using a game engine that is freely modable can't be played on a computer system that controls what its users can and can't do to it with an iron fist. Poetic justice perhaps? Sorry, I shouldn't laugh at your pain. I can offer no help, just wanted to kick an apple user while he is down. -
I agree with that idea, but the problem is we need to be able to do this. At the moment it is not even imaginable, even if you could build an area it would become a sniper magnet for every tom, dick and hacker harry to tear apart legit players. I don't want to suggest a protected area but I don't know how you could do it any other way?

Returning NPC population to secured towns
schrapple replied to Optimist (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
They would only need to exist in protected towns, if the town is defended it would grown (if it isn't they would get killed by zombies), the more people the more services available to the town. I agree that players having skills would be good, but if a town (once it had grown to a certain size) could offer things that players couldn't do for themselves then it would add a motivator to support a town which would expand game play in a different direction, I'm not in support of a protected area imposed on the world ( I love the notion of the game free forming without a central controller), But I think we badly need not only the tools but also the motivators to make things like this happen. -
Returning NPC population to secured towns
schrapple replied to Optimist (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
What about passive NPCs? they would just wander around waiting for zombies to attack the town and eat them? Or NPCs who perform a specific job that a human player couldn't like repairing something or trading things? -
You should ask rocket to make a mod on top of the day-z mod, it can be filled with heaps of military vehicles and the whole point to it is to killed opposing players. I would like to suggest the name ARMA 2 for this day-z mod.
