Has anone else the problem to hang at the "please wait" screen after joining and seeing the players list?

[Why I play this game and am always friendly]

having been shot by other players severals times, I still do not give up to not shoot others. It's just for this one (seemeingly young) guy who saved me just some minutes ago. He found me when I was lost, looking for my body after I fell to death several minutes before. It was north of Elektro. He talked to me (unfortunately I am no native English speaker, but it was OK), he gave me a handgun and lots of ammo, as well as a compass to get my direction to my fallen body. He joined me some time and then he vanished into the woods.

These are the moments no game has given me ever so far in 20 years of comupter gaming. I am an old school gamer and I still look for the coop experience. And this young (I think he was young from his voice) guy ensured me that it is the right way to not shoot on sight. Better die 10 times to just have this one experience.

If you look through the forum you will see that you are not alone (e.g. I am in this group too). So far I think there was no general solution found.

I am stuck too, but alas, it`s alpha and theie main concern now is to test the patch. Be patient, it will be worky soon.

[One of the most startling/shocking moments of my DayZ career]

Last week I spawned behind a player, who looted a pile. It was no question for me what to do - I immediately logged out. I neverl kill people, because I hope that I will meet some time someone like me and have a great coop experience. It cannot be only me in the game who reacts this way. (I will kill in self defense though.)
